My GT Line is just fine
My Forte is a very good (but not great) little car. It's well made, stylish and comfortable. Which makes my work commute a more pleasant experience. I like how it keeps the road noise down, making it feel like a more expensive car. Overall I am very happy with it thus far. But it isn't a "muscle car", so if that's what you crave, then buy something else. I like that it has a "sport mode" that allows the driver to shift gears but would prefer the paddle shifters like the Forte GT has instead of having to keep your right hand near the shift know. Whether it is in sport mode or not, acceleration from a complete stop is lackluster at best. Once rolling though, it's a lot more fun to drive. On the highway, it holds its own in traffic, lane changes and passing is better than I expected. Exterior lighting, brakes and forward visibility are very good. Rear visibility, not so much. I don't smoke so it took me a while to realize that it doesn't have ash trays (love it!). My top 3 likes; build quality, ride comfort and value for the money. 3 main dislikes; lackluster off the line acceleration, 17" Kuhmo tires follow road imperfections, infotainment system turns off after 10 minutes if engine isn't running (listening to music during lunch break is a challenge). Bottom line, the 2022 Forte GT line is very nice car but could use a few tweaks to make it a great car. I give it 4.5 stars

Better Than You Would Expect
I traded in my midsize Sonata for the compact 2022 Forte LXS and I thought I would dislike the Kia. I expected a tiny and noisy interior, sluggish acceleration, and a general poverty level feeling. Didn't happen. I'm finding the Forte to be as comfortable as the larger car (in the front seats at least) and more than adequate acceleration. Gas mileage is very good at 44 mpg highway and the handling is much more nimble than my old family sedan. I only gave up one cubic foot of trunk space from the Hyundai, so packing for a long trip is easy. Owned car now six months and everything works and no problems. Parked by a BMW three-series this morning and the similarity in appearance between the cars was gratifying. I owned a 2008 Kia Optima and came to respect that car. The 2022 Forte is on the same path with me. My only regret is that I should have looked at the turbo GT.

Very good purchase for me!
After riding in a friend's 2022 GT-Line a month ago, I went out and bought the exact same car. The two biggest things that sold me on it, were the price and the mpg. My friend is getting 42 hwy. That's all I needed to hear. My 21 year old Tahoe was getting 15mpg on a good day, and costing me $92 to fill it. I have about 800 miles on my Forte now, and I'm getting 40 mpg, which is mostly highway style driving, but includes going up and down a mountain 3x a week to work (which it handles just fine). My only complaints to date, are the lane-assist system and the cruise control. I notice that on a 6 lane divided roadway, I'll be driving in the middle lane at 65-75 mph, and the car will constantly want to hug the right side of the lane, to the point where it was making my hands tired of countering it. Also, the cruise control is REALLY sluggish in acceleration if it had previously slowed down for a slower car ahead. Also, I have the distance to the car in front of me system (I forget the real name) set at 1, which is supposed to be the closest. But, it is still super far back from the car I'm following. I've owned several Fords that had this same system, and they all did a lot better job in both spacing and speed adjustments. I will just avoid using the two features most of the time and drive it manually, which is fine.

18 year old Mazda6...2022 Kia Forte LXS
My Mazda6i was a little quicker, handled a little better, but the Forte excelles in driver comfort, quiet ride...and almost twice the gas mileage! Yes, I'm aware of the age difference, but I paid $15,000 for the Mazda in 2003 and only $20,000 for the Forte 18 Years later! I got a good deal then, but a better deal with the Kia...cars have come a long way! Still like new after 2 years and 14,000 miles.

GREAT VEHICLE HANDS DOWN
Before you’re thinking of buying this vehicle you should really read my review. I recently financed a brand new Kia Forte LXS and it’s so much better than what I expected it to be. At first I was going to get a truck but with gas prices skyrocketing I decided to think financially smarter and settle for this car. I got it from a dealership and this car only has 2 miles on it so pretty much brand spanking new. Some of the things I like about this car is that it’s small, but not small. From the outside it does look a little smaller compared to most car BUT the inside is very roomy and comfortable. I should also throw this in there but i’m 6’5 and I’ve had some trouble trying to fit into some vehicles while I was out on the lot trying to find the perfect car and I did not except i’ll able to fit into this one and I was blown away of how comfortable I felt. So if you’re a giant like I am, do yourself a favor and add the LXS to your list! Another thing what I love about the car is how quiet it is but occasionally if it’s quite windy outside you’ll be able to hear it still while you’re inside driving but it isn’t overwhelmingly annoying, just turn up your music a bit louder and you’ll be good! Also since this car is a bit smaller than most cars and lighter, the days that gets really windy I would suggest driving with BOTH hands, if you don’t already, because sometimes you can feel your car move a little whenever the wind pushes but if you’re driving with both hands and of course paying attention while your drive, you shouldn’t have any issues staying in your lane. Also another thing that I love about this vehicle is how affordable it is and the gas mileage. If I were to have gotten a truck I don’t know if I would’ve been able to keep up with it especially with these gas prices nowadays, it’s ridiculous. I would probably cost you $100+ to fill up but with the LXS, the way the gas prices are now, it costs me about $35-$40 to fill the tank and i’m good for the next 4-5 days. I also do a lot of commuting but I were to work close to home then it would definitely last me longer. The trunk space is quite big for this car which I was surprised how much stuff I could fit inside it and it also have room, underneath the trunk mat, for a spare tire! My LXS didn’t come with one but that’s okay because I have extended EXTENDED warranty so if I have problems with my vehicle, under 125k miles, I can just take it back to my local dealership and they’ll take care of it, and remind you my car now only has a little over 10k miles so I have nothing to stress about! Do yourself a favor and check this car out for yourself and I promise you won’t regret it!!

Love my car
My Kia Forte is great. I has all the things that a high ticket car has and it's extremely well priced. If you're looking for a small (not so small) reasonably priced, rides great and is pretty good looking, then the Kia Forte is the car for you. I bought mine at Murray Kia in Conshohocken.

My Favorite Blue
I leased a 2019 Kia forte and wanted to buy it. Scott B. And staff figured a low payment on 2022 Kia forte. My retirement car is just right color, size, and all the bells I need,

Smooth ride with great cost-performance ratio
Bought the GT-LINE for commute, smooth drive with great safety features, combined with sporty looks and the new KIA logo, satisfied so far after a month. Only slight downside to me is the sort-of-sluggish acceleration, but what do you expect on a compact sedan?

Good, Stylish, and Basic Car
Have had 2022 Forte LXS for more than a year now and it has proven itself to be a stylish, reliable, comfortable, and economical car. The 2.0 four-banger and CVT don't make it a hotrod, but it is quite adequate except with four people inboard--then it struggles. Economy is great, often see 40+ mileage at 65 mph and 30+ in the city. One thing I appreciate is the lack of an auto-start-stop that so many cars have to improve fuel economy (but will wear out your engine). A manual handbrake is a plus, too, in my opinion. Two things, however, may cause an early trade if the Forte. First, it's crash ratings are below the competition. Second, these cars are very easy to steal and there is a national trend to do so, resulting in very high insurance rates. Another hit is the lack of a spare tire in lower trim levels. I guess that is the price you pay for the car's low MSRP. In all, a great effort by Kia at this price point.

Good commuter car with some annoying issues.
I have had my GT-Line for over a year and it has been great on gas. The CVT is smooth and doesn’t whine when you give it some gas. The ride is average and road noise you would expect out of a compact car. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto have been a nightmare. I have tried both with multiple cables and they disconnect constantly. Dealer says nothing is wrong with the USB port and it must be my phone. I have tried multiple androids and iPhones with the same result. There is also a rattle that no one can seem to find the source of. Besides these 2 issues the car has been great. Coming from a Mazda3, the handling is definitely not as good.

Love it!
Very smooth ride. I had an Optima previously that I loved so knew I wanted to shop with Kia again. The Forte is roomy and has a lot of great safety features to keep me and my family sade on road trips.

Not impressed
I don't know if my car is just quirky but already the drivers side rear window only works intermittently. Also, the trunk release on the drivers side floor only works intermittently as well. I don't like all of the warning alerts. It's a distraction while driving. It's just too much. I mean, a warning goes off if there's risk of ice when the forecast calls for a typical winter day. Like I don't need a warning popping up telling me there might be ice in winter. I do not like the brake assist feature. I know what I sew when I'm driving and I don't need a car to brake for me when it "thinks" I'm going to hit something. The brake assist causes more of a disruptionion while driving than just letting the driver drive. When it rains, water falls into the car and onto the inside door panels. The design is terrible and I'm going to have to spend money on rain guards to prevent this issue. This car doesn't have much get up & go. All in all, I'm not impressed with the forte and I plan on getting a different vehicle once it's paid off.

Excellent value
Our 2022 Kia Forte GT-Line provides us a great value in that it’s both sporty and SAFE (many high tech safety features). Love the look, the way it drives and all that it provides in terms of peace of mind.
Love my car!
Love it. It is beautiful and drives like a dream.
Beautiful car
I feel like I'm in a dream. I can't believe this is my car. This car has more features than I know what to do with!!!! Amazing!
Great car, safety features are underdeveloped for
Absolutely LOVE my car. The radio is nice, pre-installed speakers are great and the interior is great. The car drives so smoothly. My 2018 forte lasted 120k miles in 4 years, no issues, sadly totalled it despite being almost paid off. Hoping the same thing for this but any car with more features is gonna be costly to fix such as a nice radio is more expensive to replace and safety features will be costly to fix. Cons: Windows-- Whoever designed these windows needs to get fired haha. I feel they intentionally designed them poorly so you buy rain guards. I've never used rain guards and always have my window cracked even in rain cause I like fresh air. If it's already been raining, I have to wipe my entire door above it, cause if I crack my window and drive, a waterfall pours in my car. Safety feature 1(Driver assistant) ‐‐ they told me to use it on the highway but I turn it on always because I pay for it, I'd like to use it. It could be the one second I need on a dark rainy night to help me. ANYWAY -- I drive the same back roads and some days it can read the lines sometimes in can't. Its not good when there's multiple lanes that open up for an exit on the highway. It will stop immediately with no warning if the turns to curvey or it can't read lines. The light is helpful to know if it's active but I think I feature that dings when it turns off but because it's so inconsistent, that might be annoying until they Improve it Safety feature 2(collision warning) -- there have been times it went off and I wasn't even close. There's been times where I was close and it didn't turn on. Suggestion‐ they need a remote system that can update the safety features and create a learning system for it. I don't think Personal Con: Smaller center console, dash storage and trunk compared to 2018 Forte
Forte gt
It’s a really good looking car and is fuel efficient! Sport mode in the gt is really fun and all the tech you get with it is such a steal.

Great value with lots of standard safety features. Plenty of power for real world driving and incredible MPG (up to 45 mpg on highway). Plenty of storage space and nice sound system. A well thought out design for everyday driving.

Great MPG
We took 2, 2000 mile trips. Heading east 1000 miles with a tailwind we averaged 49 mpg sometimes getting up to 53 mpg. Heading west the same trip home, with a headwind we averaged 46 mpg. Love the self steering. For the money I have no complaints except for the FE model we have has fuel efficient tires and they are loud. I will be replacing them with a softer tire when the time comes.

Incredible Gas Mileage
Averages 44 mpg (city/Hwy) Recently took a 200 mile road trip and averaged 53.4 mpg Hwy. Not sure where Edmonds is getting 31 mph. No it is not super fast nor does ride like a luxury car. However I feel it is a great value for what you get. Comfortable enough for road trips and for anyone looking for good gas mileage this little car is hard to beat

Poor performance
Kia GT doesn't perform well I feel waste of money buy one. It's to loud in cabin and engine sounds really loud like it wants blow up. Temperature of engine when driving doesn't stay cool it acts it wants over heat all time. Been looked at got told just how they are. An over priced charged over 3 thousand more than what's car worth. I feel from experience stay away from Kia an Kia USA

Windshields are crap
I've had my 2022 Kia Forte for about 4 months... almost everyday that a small rock hits the windshield, it creates little dents and cracks... I have multiple little rock spots on my windsheild.. I spoke to Kia and they said that I'm responsible for replacing it... it'd just crazy to me bc I'm paying to have it fixed knowing it will happen again... claiming it on your insurance files it as an incident...besides that, I'm loving everything else about the car... so don't purchase unless you are willing to pay for a new windshield or fillings every month or 2...

22 GT with GT2 package
Bought a 22 GT fully loaded (GT2 package). Overall great car. PROS: Put together well, solid, handles well (especially when I put in my MSP4 tires), performance is good as well. Feature full (cooled and heated seats, sunroof, full set of driver aids, etc), fully loaded for $27k, roomy inside, the 1.6 doesn’t struggle with 5 adults, keep it below 70 mph and you’ll see almost 40 mpg. CONS Needs about 50 more hp, the DCT is great when at full tilt; not so great otherwise, seats should go further down, rear exterior design is kinda “meh”, noisy inside thanks to road/tire noise, ride can be stiffer over less than smooth pavement.
