Used 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Consumer Reviews
Dream car turned Nightmare
I was so excited to buy this Jeep. Coming from a 2000 JGC with only one $1300 major issue, I was so happy to get my Saddle interior. I was duped! Damn you Saddle interior! I bought this thinking this is a beautiful new to me vehicle that will serve me well as my 2000 had. Wrong! Within a year I was replacing a $2000 power suspension. Then a year later $1100 drove shaft. Then an $800 water pump and now... and now...$6000 for bushings, gas pan, steering rack etc etc etc. I won’t even get into the constant tire replacements. I’m at a loss. What a joke of a vehicle. The above isn’t even all of it that’s the saddest part. I bought this for something reliable and it’s been no such thing. The worst part... I’m completely stuck with it. It’s a beautiful car but damn! JGC Overland V8 Hemi
2012 Bubbly Dash
I love my Jeep. I breaks my heart that I would pay so much and after a few months have to look at a dash that has started bubbling up. I have OCD and having my dash bubble drives me crazy. I am constantly trying to press the leather down , smooth the leather back in place. My car is immaculate I take pride in the appearance of my car. I took it to Milton Rubin in Augusta, GA and the service manager said he had never seen this before. After lots of research, I see it has happened a lot. Called the home office of Jeep and was told due to the year and milage 81,000 miles. There is nothing they can do. I am still working on getting it fixed but I can not tell you how dissatisfied I am with Jeep.

Riddled with issues
Bought a pre owned 2012 Laredo 4x4 From a Volkswagen dealership , ever since I bought this SUV it’s been in and out of the shop , I’ve only had this car for 2 years and I already had to replace the engine at 132k miles , after I did that I took it for a routine oil change and ended walking out with $2300 bill of repairs , I wish I never bought this clunk of junk, definitely sticking to Honda’s , Toyota’s , and Lexus’s .

Solid vehicle, happy with my choices
I had a 2012 4x4 v8 for a year and it was great overall. The cons: MPG not so good, the Nav system is difficult. I have since fixed part of this by trading for a 2013 v6. Now the MPG is better. The power is acceptable too, I was surprised. I recall the 2011 v6 seemed to lag but mine has done this. Now if we can just get the newer Nav from the 300 it will be a great vehicle package.
This is one phenominal vehicle!!!
I have owned many vehicles in my lifetime (too many according to my wife!) but this is by far my favorite. After 16,000 miles I have not had a single problem. My high on the highway is over 25 mpg and I get around 20 in the city. Often I run ethanol in it to be a little green but MPG drops quite a bit. The car is unbelievably comfortable and rides like a dream. This summer we took it on a 16 hour trip and felt great when we arrived (as good as we could have been). It is very quiet, has a great entertainment system and looks fabulous inside and out. I am amazed at the comments I receive from people about how nice it is. There is not much to not like about it.
