Great off road capability but that’s it

I leased my Compass in March of 18 and I can’t wait to get rid of it. It has been back to the dealership multiple times for transmission and touch screen issues. When I drive down the interstate going 80 mph it will remain in 7th gear at 3900 rpm. When I switch it to manual mode and put it in 9th gear it goes down to 1200 rpm and I get decent mileage. I will say that it’s is a beast in snow and rain. I live in South Dakota so snow is something we see snow several months out of the year. I have never got stuck and there have been days where we got over 16 inches of snow in one shot. The remote start works when it wants to. The touch screen will get froze on the welcome screen and stay that way until you shut the Jeep off. I’m glad this a lease and will be done in March. I knew that is was a four cylinder when I got it but I was hoping that it would perform a little better then it does. I would say spend the extra and get the Cherokee Trailhawk.

Great off road and City

I range 19 mpg driving City, around 21-23 on average. I’ve taken my jeep off roading on intermediate trails and had a blast! Tested out the skid plates a few times, but overall good. Lacks some horsepower and lift for it to be more viable off road. Great for the occasional off roader like myself. Compact enough that it’s easy to navigate in the city and easy parking. Overall comfortable but a bit small on the interior. Interior finishes are fantastic and sound system is great as well. Love the trail hawk. Little to no problems in 3 years, 30k miles, only a fault factory battery that failed in the cold (replaced under warranty)

Wiring harness, what?????

Why would a 2018 Compass Trailhawk in 2022 need a new wiring harness with a 5 year extended warranty. I love this vehicle but am very disappointed in the warranty and the fact that it didn't last any longer than this. According to research a wiring harness should last the life of the vehicle (Note: garage kept and all maintenance and service kept up to date). Comments please.

This car is not built for racing. It is built for when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. I have driven it in many snow parks where there are no roads in the summer.
