Used 2017 Jeep Cherokee Consumer Reviews
Great SUV
Fuel economy could be better and a Jeep should come with skid plates and recovery points standard. Other than those issues it's a great SUV.

Still at the trailhead for the Trailhawk
Too early to tell with just 347 miles. So far it's great. The 4 cyl tigershark is fine.

Refined and Reliable
This review is for the 2017 Jeep Cherokee High Altitude 3.2L 6cyl. This particular 6 cylinder model was not an option when selecting a model for the review. We're entering our 8th year with this vehicle. May 2024 we experienced our first maintenance problem... The battery is finally on it's way out! 80k miles with zero issues. At 70k miles we replaced the tires and brakes. Mechanic said they both still had some life to them. Car drives super smooth and is extremely comfortable. Excellent refined leather interior. Outstanding car.

Wife loves her 2017 Jeep Cherokee Limited v6
We enjoy the way the Jeep handles. It has the v6 which gives a lot of power for going up onramps. We now have 42000 miles on it and put on a set of Michelan tires. It is now much quieter and has a better ride than before. We enjoy all of the features present on the limited edition. The back-up camera, the cross-traffic warning, the rear camera. We enjoy the heated seats and steering wheel. The navigation system works well as well as the sound system with using thumb drives and SD cards. The Jeep is fun to drive and gives a quiet comfortable ride. A set of running boards make it easy for my short wife to get into the vehicle. There was only one problem that we had - a cracked front suspension part. $900.00 Other than that, there have been no other issues. The 9-speed transmission was trouble free as is the engine. What a great ride! UPDATE: Our Jeep Cherokee Limited 6 cylinder is a pleasure to drive. It has good power to get into traffic up onramps. It is quiet and has a nice ride. The handling is great. It is our go to vehicle in snow storms. Our other vehicle is a 2019 Pacifica. The Cherokee is a much better vehicle overall. We just put on a set of Michelin tires. This made a great difference in quite ride and better handling. Our Cherokee is one of the best vehicles we have owned. We prefer to drive this over our 2019 Pacifica. UPDATE: I bought this Cherokee for my wife. It has been trouble free and fun to drive. It is one vehicle that you get once in a while that seems it will last forever. This is a 2017 that holds the road, is quiet, has many safety features, gets 30 mpg highway. The 6 cyl. engine has a lot of power for getting into traffic on on ramps and passing.

Do you like buying car parts ?
If the weather gets too hot you have to replace the battery. When it rains you have to replace the coil pack. I have yet to see whats going to happen when it snows or if I have to drive in extreme cold. If you like to replace car parts based on weather conditions then this is the car for you. Also the salesman was very disappointed when I elected not to buy warranty . I am wondering now is it because he know this car has issues. Not only that I am harassed daily by people selling vehicle warranty , I block the phone number they call from a different number they too know this car has issues and I will need them soon. This car may last one more year when the last payment is made and I can guarantee you that I will never by another Jeep .
