Just went through our first Colorado Snow storm
I love this car. I am able to do 90 on the interstate and go off roading in comfort and style. It consistently turns heads and is very fun to drive. I am seriously disappointed with the software package. I use my iPhone for navigation not the car's built in. Also it has a difficult time with blue tooth and USB connectivity. The WIFI hot spot is useless because its low network 3g. (seriously slow) So for everything non software related it rocks, but you have to learn to work around the digital features short comings. Also customer service at the dealership is non existent so don't expect much follow up after the initial flurry of support from Mopar.

2016 Jeep Cherokee problems
I bought a 2016 Jeep cherokee Trailhawk. The interior is awesome and it is a very durable and sporty looking SUV so it checked all my boxes. I bought it used with 45,000 km on it. I had it for 5 months with absolutely no problems. Then one day I was at work and went to leave and it wouldn't start. I tried boosting it and nothing worked so had it towed to the mechanic. The PCM had broken and needed to be replaced because this is a very important computer part. A month later my car wouldn't start again and the battery was dead. I had to once again get it towed. After 12 hours of the mechanic trying to find the problem at 130$ an hour they found out the rear module was shorting out the fuse box and sending shorts to my wires. This meant the car now at 55,000km needed an entirely new rear end including rear axles due to the rear dif. When I was there, there were 2 other jeep Cherokee in with electrical problems as well. THIS VEHICLE IS VERY UNRELIABLE. it is an electrical nightmare that would have cost me over 5000 dollars if I wasn't still under warranty. I will be trading mine in right away.

2016 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk 2.4L 4 Cycle
Bought this because I wanted the off road version, but was light in the wallet at the time of purchase. I suppose most people went with the V6 for the Trailhawk. I will say that if I met someone thinking about buying this car, I would say get the V6. You will be happier. That being said, the 2.4 4cyl tiger shark with the 9 speed transmission has kind of "learned" my driving habits, The transmission software issues from the '14 models are worked out and fixed. Sport mode is fun. I am happy I went with the "green" version. It is capable as hell, decent on gas,

Stay away
I bought my Trailhawk with 12 miles on it. It is now around 4,000 miles and I am experiencing issues. When I turn the car on, it says that 4WD is unavailable and that power steering needs to be serviced. I took it to the dealer and they "fixed" it. Sure enough, two days after the service was completed (reset PCM), the same warning came on.

A Hunk of Junk !!!!! DEFINITELY a lemon!
So , after a year they asked me to update my review I hate this car !!!!! 1) I average about 15 miles to the gallon 2) still having weird transmission problems , a hunk of crap 3) repair guy at Jeep confides in me and tells me he feels sorry for people that buy Cherokee’s 4) it’s a piece of crap and Uconnect is terrible lol omg. Half the time to get it to connect is a wrestling match. If you use an iPhone , it sucks. Better for people with droids If you want to see my original review. Read on Wow , What a huge dissapointment, was really excited and bought a 2016 trail hawk with the 6 cycl engine Heres how owning one has gone (FYI i only have had it 3 weeks ) Week 1, computer froze with rear camera stuck on and blaring latin oompah music ,,,,,,,brought it back to the dealer for repair ,,,,they said dust got in the computer? Week 2 , brought it in for a computer update ....... Week 3 ,,,,transmission froze up while driving into neutral , couldn't get it out of neutral , had it towed to the dealers ( Santa Monica ) and its been sitting there for 3 days and nobody has even looked at it yet What can I tell you ,,,its a huge disappointment , jeep dosen't seem to care.... its been in the shop more than I've actually driven it ,,,,,wish I would have bought something elese and the dealer is NO help whats ever !!!!!!!!!!!! #hunkofjunk #jeepcrap
