I LOVE I-PACE!
Edmunds is dead wrong in its incorrect review regarding the regenerative braking system. In "HIGH REGEN MODE" it gives me, instant powerful braking with smooth, NON JERKY, ONE PEDAL driving. Plain and simple! Edmunds needs to correct this inaccurate aspect of its review of the 2019 I Pace EV400/ AWD vehicle. My I PACE performs perfectly and driving in ECO mode I'm averaging 224 -239-mile driving range. In updating my review of my 2019 I PACE (see above), the most important event was Jaguar increased the driving range from 237miles to 267 miles of driving range, with another increase in range to approximately 297 miles of driving range coming in the future This puts the I PACE at comparative ranges of the Tesla. The car has given NO us problems and is a dream ride! It's important to once again point out that Edmunds first (and continues to write incorrectly) that the braking was "grabby and jerky" using the recumbent braking system. The test driver had the car dialed in to the WRONG setting {LOW} instead of the HIGH setting. When correctly set in the HIGH recumbent mode the car is faultless at "One Pedal Driving". I'll probably get 100K miles before needing brakes. Still LOVE MY I PACE! The styling is unique and a mix of 'muscle' and elegance. People are constantly looking at the car and asking about it. It beats Tesla in many ways: easy to adjust settings without having to adjust Tesla's ONE SCREEN digital touch screen which is dangerous while trying to make adjustments while staring at the screen and driving (I owned one); the interior trims: leather Reco racing seats; the glass roof doesn't overheat the cab like Tesla and the handling is tighter than the Tesla on curves, etc. When the lease is up I'm going to buy out the residual and keep the car.

Honest John. Jaguar I Pace Owner
The I-Pace is neither the least expensive nor longest range BEV SUV, but it is a marvellous sporting drive, a great touring car, and has a high quality cabin wrapped in the best looking body design in its class. The infotainment system is modern and effective, if sometimes slow to react on pre 2021 models. It is internet connected at all times, and is capable of over the air software up-dates. Early production issues such as a spongy brake pedal and software glitches have been fixed under warranty. Having driven over 81,000 km (50,000 miles) there has been only one serious service issue, being a defective 12 volt battery which was replaced under warranty. There has been no main battery range degradation since new. In the summer, 400 km (240 miles) range is feasible if driven carefully. More realistically summer range is about 350 km (200 miles) and 250 km (150 miles) in extreme cold (-25 degrees Celsius or 13 degrees Fahrenheit). Home charging overnight looks after 90% of my "refuelling" for a nominal cost. Commercial charging has proven to be reasonably quick and available for a trip across Canada with ease. Commercial charging costs are about the same as premium gasoline for a mid sized SUV in Canada. I am so pleased with the I-Pace that I've ordered a 2021 model featuring numerous software up-grades, my 13th new Jaguar since 1992. One thing is for sure - I will never go back to a gasoline or diesel powered vehicle.

After rough start my I-Pace is great
The I-Pace is gorgeous, fast, comfortable and efficient. After surviving the first few months of software and hardware problems the car has been nearly flawless. Jaguar released numerous software fixes and other than a few infotainment niggles the car is fine. It's fun to drive and looks amazing. Cold temperatures reduced range from 230 to 180 miles but wasn't an issue for me because most of my driving is in the city. Performance is awesome and after 10 months of ownership I am still looking for excuses to drive my I-Pace.

Best EV - Best Car in its Class - Love it!
This vehicle is simply amazing. First, it’s stunning and sleek - lots of compliments. Second, the interior is best in class combining the right mix of hi tech gauges with Jaguar modern elegance and beautiful design with high quality metals, leather, stitching and wood. Lots of attention to detail and jewelry inside. Third, it accelerates faster, corners sharper, rides and absorbs road wrinkles like magic and is more fun than any vehicle I’ve ever owned - including about every Porsche model. Fourth, the upgraded Meridien sound system is magnificent. Fifth, the warranty is best in class. Sixth, the software upgrade did increase range. Sixth, the brake issue mentioned isn’t an issue at all so confused as to the call-out. Buy the HSE with all the options...wish I had heads-up display. Only quibbles are laggy software, lack of electric steering wheel and slow charging options. I gave it 5 stars with the highest recommendation. Smile every time I get to drive it. Subaru coined ‘Love’ for its brand...the i-Pace evokes just the same and more.

Much much better car that most people think...
First off, the I-Pace is my first EV car and before buying it, I did a lot of research on this type of car, including competitors like the Tesla Model 3 and Audi Etron. The Etron disappeared first from my list. High weight, relatively poor performance, high consumption and actually quite boring. The Model 3 was a more difficult choice. It's a smaller car but also cheaper, has the Tesla ring to it and is of course full of gadgets. It also was the best selling car in 2019 in my country (Netherlands). Which means, you see it everywhere. Pros were high efficiency, expected good resale value, OTA updates. Cons were a rather bland interior, lesser build quality and, IMHO, rather boring looks. However good the car is in itself, it has become the T-Ford of EV's by now and for me, that's not necessarily a plus. Then the I-Pace. I find the I-Pace strikingly good looking. It's not a real SUV, more of a crossover. The interior is roomier than you think, thanks to a very long wheelbase. It's a ground-up EV design with a few quirks which don't bother me too much. I had a chance to test the car for week to see if it would fit my life style and it did. The 1-phase charging is a minus, but after six months of ownership, it has never been a problem for me. I drive about 750-800 km every week, but even then the 1-phase charging has never been an issue. My daily drives routinely are often 200-220 200, so that leaves plenty of time for charging. The fastcharging speed of 100 kW can only be reached in specific circumstances, more likely you will see something like 80-90 kW for a while which will taper off above 55%. But in 17000 km (11000 miles), I have had to fastcharge only on international trips so far. The I-Pace got a bad reputation for having a very short range just after it was launched. That was due to a combination of faulty software, a First-Edition model with 22" wheels and all goodies, which reduces range a lot, and a launch during the winter. I purchased mine in November 2019 and have received several updates since then. I bought the Business Edition S-Model, a combination of S and SE-features not sold anywhere else. Did choose the 18" wheels for the longer range though. During the (mild) winter, my average range was 350-370 km (218-231 miles) on a full charge. Now temperatures have gone up (May 2020), the range has improved to 430-450 km (268-281 miles). I have set the Regen to High on the I-Pace and that makes one-pedal driving a breeze. Once you have accustomed yourself to that it's make for a very relaxed drive and it will increase your range. All around, it's consumption is similar to that of the Tesla Model S up to 70-75 mph (112-120 kph). Above that, the larger frontal area and higher drag will increase consumption more than that of the Model S (being a lower, sleeker sedan). High speeds will eat up your range very quickly of course and will reach 45-55 kWh/100 km (72-88 kWh/100 miles) if you really go all out as I did on a high-speed trip on the German Autobahn in January. The I-Pace real top speed is 208 km/h (130 mph), and can get there very quickly if you hammer it. The I-Pace has been a excellent drive with zero problems. Very quiet, very comfortable yet fast when you want it to be. Build and paint quality is very good, so squeaks or rattles anywhere. The lay-out of the cabin is very good, the screens have good visibility but need cleaning quite often. I keep a microfiber towel in the car for that, but this is typical of touch-screens in general. The infotainment system could have been a little faster but functions well. Voice control sometimes has difficulty understanding me. Smartphone connection has been flawless, although when I drive with my wife I have to be quick to make sure the car connects to my phone and not hers. The I-Pace is very quick car and has no problem with with almost all ICE-cars except high-end sportcars. And the faster EV's of course. It also handles very well considering it's size and weight. Only on twisty roads will you find the damping becoming over taxed. This is mainly because of the suspension setup, which is aimed at comfort, not ultimate speed. I find the trade off well worth it. Despite its capabilities, the I-Pace invites you more to a relaxed style of driving that trying to set a new A to B record. Trunk space has been more than enough for me, my wife and our two small kids (3 and 1). The frunk in the front stores little besided the cables and a first aid kit. But when driving alone, I keep the cables in the trunk for easier access. In all, the car has been an extremely good experience and I have no regrets buying it. Am actually happy I did not get the Model 3, seeing it on just about every corner by now. Update Nov-2020: The I-Pace has now done 29000 km/18K miles and still going strong, With temperatures dropping the range has decreased but I am still getting 400 km or 250 miles on a full charge. Car has had no issues whatsoever. Very happy owner!

I-Pace: No longer recommend
I’ve been thinking about an EV for some time, and my Jaguar XF lease was ending. I was able to get into an 2019 HSE spec demo model that was nicely discounted. I think the best deals are on 2019 gently used models from a Jaguar dealership, where you can still get the Federal Tax credit of $7500, and you have an option to lease or purchase. The I-Pace is one of the most beautiful cars I have ever driven. The fit, finish, and technology are far superior to the 2017 XF. The HSE trim level gives you just about everything you need and want in this luxury vehicle. The best thing about this car is how it drives! Wow! Great combo of power and handling makes it a joy to drive. The compact size makes it easy to maneuver, while giving me just as much, if not more room that XF sedan. Now for the expectations. Research and know what you’re getting into before you buy or lease. The range and charging times will not make it easy for long road trips. The range will get worse in cold weather and more aggressive driving, and you’ll end up planning your commute and trips more carefully to avoid range anxiety. It’ll be hard to own this car without installing a home 240V charger. Take a few minutes and call a couple of electricians for quotes, and it will save you hundreds of dollars than if you went with the Jag recommended installers. The vehicle doesn’t come with a spare tire, and you’ll probably want to get a tire inflation repair kit (about $50). You can buy a spare from Jaguar, but there’s no place to store it, and it’ll take up space in the back. Lastly, if you go to review and comparisons, there will be endless reviews, and particularly comparisons with Other EV’s like Tesla, Audi, and the upcoming Mercedes. The two things that sold me on this I-PACE was the beautiful design and the handling/drivability. If you’re considering a vehicle in this segment, you really should consider it as an option. Update (July 2022). I’ve owned this vehicle and for 2.5 years, and I’m updating it to two star. IT still drives and performs well, but it has spent a lot of time at the dealer. Electrical problems in an EV means that if I were to do this again, I would not have leased or purchased this vehicle again. Update (Jan 2023): I've downgraded the rating further from two star to one star, because it ended up in the dealer again with significant electrical problems. After diagnostic assessment, the dealer came up with the exact same fix that didn't solve the problem before. While it still drove and performed well, when it was running, I would recommend that you stay away from this vehicle, if you are considered buying the 2019 model.

Still Wowing us!
The I Pace HSE has brought me into the all-Electric world in a big way. It is beautiful inside and out, eye-catching style. Smooth, very fast, great handling as you would expect from a Jaguar. Still unique so it stands out on the road vs ubiquitous Tesla's. Way more comfortable and luxurious than the Tesla and almost as good range. We are getting over 250 mile range. It's a remarkable car that made me a believer about electric cars being the future. Great technology as well. Buy one!!

I'm right there with all of the other owners!
There's very little to say that all of the reviews above have said, but I'm absolutely with them. It's my first electric car as I was waiting until one really struck me. After doing months of research, I made the switch and I've never looked back. It's beautiful, fast, awesome and man is it cool never having to go to the gas station. Best car I've ever owned and I've owned a bunch.

Driving bliss!
I finally took the plunge on an electric car and couldn’t be happier with my decision and with the I-PACE. Drop dead gorgeous car outside and in, excellent fit and finish, quiet with no rattles or squeaks, and so much fun to drive!! High MSRP but Jaguar incentives plus $7500 tax credit make it a great value. Love the regenerative braking and have had no issue with pedal feel as noted in Edmunds review. Like all Jags and Land Rovers the infotainment has a slight lag but I actually love the interface and controls. Range is more than enough for my around town use, even on a busy Saturday running around all day. I couldn’t be happier - never been so excited about a car. Update: 6 months later still feel exactly the same way. Zero problems with the car. Update: 18 months later still feel exactly the same way. Zero problems with the car, and still 6 months away from my first scheduled maintenance! Update: 2.5 years after purchase still zero problems. Only trip to dealer has been for 2 year scheduled maintenance. We now also have a newer BMW X5 PHEV and a newer Volvo XC40 BEV in the family and the Jag is still hands down the best, most fun to drive. Update: 3 years later all is still great. No problems. Still my favorite car ever.

The EV lap of luxury
Great car. I own the HSE model and love it. The review of the regen braking is way out in left field. When set to hi regen it stops very quickly. The brake pedal has a great feel and is not grabby like they say. Did you guys even read the manual on how to set the aggressive regen? I own 6 award winning hotrods and muscle cars as well as a late model corvette and a competition RX-7. No comparison. The I -Pace is the best all. Around car I have ever driven.

First Time EV Owner
Finally made the switch to an EV and glad I did. The car is spectacular in all ways driving, performance, and usability. If I was looking for negatives, it would be range anxiety and slightly slow infotainment response time. It might be true with all EV's, but I find myself looking at the remaining charge. Jaguar suggest a range of 234 miles. Our real world experience is less than that on the highway at speeds in excess of 70 mph. A recent trip at 80 mph dropped us to around 200 miles. We ran the a/c and made the mistake of not being in ECO mode. Alternatively, in mixed travel, we are getting more than Jaguar estimates. At best, we got just under 300 miles in a suburban environment. Update: Over three years and 36k miles of ownership and still glad I purchased the iPace. It continues to perform as new. Over time, I have not seen a decrease in range. In average, I’m getting slightly better than Jaguar estimated. I have had two shop visits, both of them minor issues. They took a bit to resolve, Jaguar blamed supply chain issues.

The iPace is terrific
Your review is wrong, or, since they built the car you tested they fixed the problem. I bought a 2019 I-PACE in July 2019. I have the heavy regenerative braking option selected. I hardly use the brake pedal and drive almost exclusively with one pedal. The stopping power of the regenerative braking is more than enough for 90% of my braking situations. If I need emergency braking the brakes are very responsive and smooth. The car is terrific and underappreciated by the media. The power comes on quickly, quietly and acceleration is as fast as my Porsche Macan Turbo. The interior is luxurious as you would expect from a Jaguar. Great digital screens, but with just enough physical buttons to keep you off of the touchscreen when driving. I've had over 60 cars in my lifetime, including many Mercedes, Porsches, corvettes, and Jaguars, and this car is the best so far. Update: a year later with the car and I'm as high on it as I was when I wrote this review. Update: I've now had the car for 3 1/2 years and it has about 22,000 miles on it. It's my daily driver. It has required almost no maintenance, other than the two-year routine intervals. Its performance has not changed--it's exciting to drive, but comfortable and luxurious. Friends who have Teslas complain about having to use the big iPad for everything. Jaguar has balanced touchscreen functions with multiple real buttons and switches. I bought the car out of the lease, and I'll keep it until the warranty expires in a year and a half--I'm still not sure I want to own it after that, but who knows? I have a deposit on a Rivian SUV, but the long delays in delivery have me thinking of another iPace when the time comes. I've seen no new EV's that I would prefer to the Jag. Update: I've now owned my iPace for more than four years. I bought it out of the lease--good price and low miles on the car. It remains the most satisfying car to drive that I have owned. I've had very few reasons to take to the dealer other than routine maintenance and some software upgrades. The car handles extremely well and accelerates faster than my Macan or our MB 550SL. I remain perplexed as to why Jaguar failed to market the car which is a better vehicle than anything made by BMW, MB, or Tesla. It has an eight-year warranty on the battery so I'll probably hang on to it for a couple more years.

I LOVE I-PACE!
Yes, Edmunds didn't have the car they were test driving in the correct regen braking setting! In HIGH REGEN the car responds perfectly with true one pedal driving. You let off the 'gas' pedal and it dramatically slows down to where you need a faint tap on the brake to come to a full stop. When I drive my wife's MBZ 300 GLC the difference in both power and braking is striking. Driving the I-Pace is like BUTTER on the road; smooth, it sticks to the road like marmalade on toast and the acceleration AT SPEED is a jolt! However, driving in the ECO setting, when I need a charge I consistently peak AT 257 MILES per charge!! Richard de Forest Coto de Caza, CA

Great Ride. Have Done My Homework & Like My Choice
First, you can't ignore the way this car looks. I have had my eyes on Tesla for years. I even priced them weekly but just could not pull the trigger. I loved the "wow" factor of some of technology but when we went to test drive, we felt like we were in line at Wendy's. The Jaguar had the luxury feel and look that Tesla didn't have. Some of the apps are a little wonky but I have made Jaguar Remote work great and it is extremely handy. The car drives really nice and then there is "range anxiety".. I took care of that by installing a Grizzl-E 40 amp charger in my carport. Now my Jag is 260 miles ready to go any time we are. If you do your home work ( and Jaguar SHOULD do a better job with on-board level 3 charger locating) you can find fast chargers to enable you to go practically anywhere. We live in "charger no-man's land" between Birmingham and Jackson but there are chargers where you need them and I am no longer worried about being restricted on where we can go. To sum it up, the folks a Jaguar in Jackson Ms and the folks at Grizzl-E chargers have been a team that has made me very happy with this purchase.
Best car ever
I’ve been waiting for a non Tesla electric and I’m so glad I did. The Ipace is incredible. My other car is a gl63 amg and love my ipace more
Smooth, powerful and luxurious
I’ve had my IPace for 6 weeks now and really love it. The power is addictive. Nothing is faster and the acceleration is smooth and steady. Unlike a Tesla, the IPace is truly luxurious. There is so much tech in this car that I am constantly amazed at all it can do. I love that it reads incoming text messages to me in a British accent. And the phone app works great. I turn on the AC from my iPhone a few minutes before leaving my office and the car is cool when I enter. I also like that I can unlock or lock the doors using my app. Everyone wants to look at it. My car is always parked up front when using a valet and I’ve had a couple Tesla owners come over to admire it. A couple of quirks... their is no way to cover the panoramic sunroof so the car gets crazy hot in the summer. And I find that the mileage estimates are all over the place. For a while the car was recording 201 miles at full charge, which is the winter setting (it is now summer). Then it corrected itself and now reads 282 miles. I can watch it drop 10 miles then go up 10 miles a minute later. But, I look at battery percentages so after a while this doesn’t matter. Overall, so happy. One bit of advice, skip the Jaguar recommended EV charger installers. They never responded and after my complaints they told me they would send one guy to give an estimate (it says you get 3 quotes). I gave up and called a local electrician who was one third the price. Bought a ChargePoint charger on Amazon and signed up with my local utility EV rate plan to reduce costs (overnight charging is practically free). Love this car!

Buyer Beware!
Buyer beware…my 2019 I-Pace blew up! I purchased my 2019 I-Pace in February of 2020. From day one, the car would not hold a charge. The car was delivered to me, left the dealership 100% and within 60 miles the charged was already down to 40% charged. I had the car in the shop several times from February to June, with no solution. I scheduled the car to go back into the shop in June, but in the meantime I left for a trip and parked the car in the airport covered garage. 5 days later, someone walking by the car noticed smoke coming from under the hood and alerted airport authorities. The airport fire department responded. They used a heat sensor on the car and found a hot spot. When they opened the hood to shut off the battery, the car exploded into flames. Other than an apology call and an offer for free stay at the Lo Posada in Santa Fe (where I live!), I have received NO support from Jaguar International. Jaguar International did called me within an hour of the fire. Not to help me, rather to say they were there to help, but in fact they were doing damage control. They played me. They asked that I work with them, which I did. They asked questions like why did I have my back seat down. From moment 1, I complained about the batteries. I gave them all zero’s on the satisfaction surveys. The only thing they cared about was their image. The car is beautiful, but like Tesla, which does stand behind their product, there are battery issues. Buyers should be aware before they step one foot into a Jaguar dealership, Jaguar doesn’t stand behind their product.
Our First Electric OR Crossover! We STILL like it
So far, we are delighted! I hasten to add, however, we just broke 500 miles on the odometer so it's more than a bit early to provide an in-depth review. Still, we are truly enjoying our new, electric, crossover. Comfortable ride, very quick (Motor Trend says 0-60 in 4.0 seconds and, we believe it!) Excellent handling, beautiful both outside and inside and, of course, super quiet (including no rattles at all). There a few things we wish were different. We would really like to have the fully automatic steering wheel adjustment rather than the standard manual that is all that's available. I.e. No option for electronic operation. We also wish it had a bit more legroom in the rear. And we would like to have a Tesla-Like network of charging locations. Until that's available (if ever!) we'll have to use our SL Mercedes for road trips. No problems thus far although we did have the charging handle stay locked into its socket even when all vehicle doors were unlocked (?). We simply used the under-hood release to resolve this issue. We're hoping it does not recur. Except for the manual steering wheel adjustment issue, the other items on our wish-list are not deal-breakers by any stretch. If things continue as they have to this obviously early point in time, we will continue to be delighted! NICE RIDE! We're still enjoying our '19 HSE. No more issues with the charger being stuck and having to use the under-hood release. The only issue (in addition to those in the original review) is the GPS Voice Recognition. It can's locate multiple sites that have existed for years and that our other vehicle can readily find. Real "range" is limited IF we're driving at Interstate speeds (75-80MPH). Then, the actual range is in the 190 miles range. This isn't a pressing issue since we never take trips that exceed this range. We use our ICE for longer drives. We do recommend the I-Pace and would buy it again! UPDATE: My previous review, a few months after buying our HSE I-Pace, indicated that we "love it" and, our opinion in that regard hasn't changed. We're a retired couple who have owned multiple cars over the years and we both continue to consider our I-Pace as one of our favorite vehicles, maybe even, our all-time favorite. We've had very, very few problems with it and all except one was minor. That one was a failed 12V battery and it was replaced quickly and under warranty. Would we buy another I-Pace? Absolutely!

Very unreliable / Jaguar is extremely unresponsive
I leased my I-Pace in December 2019 and due to the pandemic, I have only put 7,500 kms during all this time. Nevertheless, I have had already 3 warranty claims and the car has been towed twice to the dealership due to important failures. The last failure occurred more than 3 weeks ago and the car is still at the dealership for repair with no target date to have the problem solved. Feedback from dealership indicates there are issues with the harness / gearbox and parts had to be ordered. I have contacted Jaguar Corporate by email and phone at least twice a week since the incident and there have not been any reply back from their part (except for an email indicating my case number). I find myself paying for a very expensive lease for an EV and having to drive a lower cost high fuel consumption vehicle that the dealership lent me. Not at all what anyone should expect.

Born To Run
This is a vehicle that you need to own for quite a while to fully appreciate. It is whisper quiet with a Range Rover smooth ride. The acceleration is completely linear and the regenerative brakes mean you can drive by just using the accelerator and literally never touching the brake. The combination of accelerator only driving in town and pre-set distance and speed on the highway is addictive. It is all but impossible to go back to the noisy and crude vehicles with a combustion engine. Plus the leather interior, three screens and glass roof provides a large and airy driving cockpit where you feel completely in charge and in control. This is driving at its best! After 33,000 miles no issues and I am still discovering new features. The reviews of most electric cars are pretty useless because their sole focus seems to be price versus range, yet electric cars have numerous features an ICE vehicle does not. The reviewers seem trapped in the ICE world and as a result key features such as pre-heat, battery performance in the cold, different car entry options, brake set-up, suspension set-up etc are totally missed.

I Pace is awesome!
I bought got my I Pace in October. I have owned many incredible cars in my years, including Audi S8, BMW M5 and various other Mercedes, Audi and BMW. This I Pace is my favorite vehicle I have ever owned. The interior is beautiful and a level or two above the other cars I mentioned. Driving this car is a joy and electric acceleration cant be believed until you have experienced it. Lastly, this car is a real head turner, I get stopped all the time with people admiring it. Love it!

Bought A Second Jaguar I Pace
I liked the first I Pace so well that we bought another to become an "all electric" vehicle family. My previous review highlighted the looks and attention to detail on the inside. The second I Pace is RED and my wife, who is a Bama football fanatic, could not be happier. The navigation works really nicely, AND, if you plan a trip that will not have enough charge, the navigator will "Auto-Add" a charging stop. The not so good news is that the database, the algorithm or both don't ensure that the charger chosen for you is appropriate. The charger may not be in the most logical location and may not be a level 3 charger. Enroute stops at any other than a level 3 are foolish. ( unless remaining overnight). I spoke to a Jaguar exec and have high hopes that they will address this shortcoming. She seemed committed to making the "last mile" improvements to make the whole experience live up to the fantastic car. In the meantime I use an app to find and plan for enroute charging when I travel outside the topped-up range. One cool feature I have learned about since buying the red Jag is the Jaguar Route Planner.. it does what is sounds like but you can plan your route on your smart phone and when you get into the car, the route is automatically uploaded to the car's navigation.. pretty cool. Would I buy again...absolutely. Love them so far. There are some great deals on 2019 & 2020 models... I bought in NYC and drove it home to South Carolina. Enjoyed the trip..

Fun to drive electric luxury cross-over
I am thrilled with my I-Pace HSE. I'll admit I was a bit leary and waited to buy for nearly a year to see what kind of complaints earlier buyers made. I am a long time Tesla Model S owner and think this Jag meets or beats it in every way except for the Tesla supercharger network that is handy for long drives. But if you use it for just daily commutes the way I do, the range is more than adequate and the creature comforts are better. Android Auto/Apple Play was a big attraction for me, because I much prefer using Waze to Tesla's native navigation. I have come across no build defects at all. I get occasional Android Auto glitches but that happens in my other cars as well. This is really a great car and I'm very happy so far.

Great Car If It Would Work
I leased a 2019 iPace 10 months ago. To date it has been in the shop for a cumulative month and a half. The intelligent braking system will randomly apply the brakes while driving. The dealership has no idea when or if the may be able to fix it. The air conditioning and defrost has never worked. All they can say is they are taking direction from the factory.

Incredible Car! Does Everything and More!
Please give the IPace a close look if you’re considering an EV. We own a Tesla Model S and the IPace quite frankly outperforms it in almost every way.

Sports Sedan in SUV Form
This is the most comfortable SUV I've ever driven. Other than the F-Type, it is also the car that is the most fun to drive. It is so quick, with smooth acceleration, that you that before you realize, you're at 60 MPH. My wife and I love this car.

I love this car so much, I may get another!
UPDATE: At 11000 miles, still loving this car. No major issues. The best EV on the market. The best car on the market. This car is fast, smooth, stylish, cutting edge, sexy, comfortable, quiet, smooth, grippy, offroad capable, unflappable, efficient, and awesome in essentially every single way. The Edmunds reviewers needed to put the car into high-regen mode to get one-pedal driving and smooth braking. The car cuts through traffic like a shark on steroids. You will hit 105 without even realizing it. At that speed, the I-Pace is rock steady, quiet, and just plain delicious. The self-driving feature takes the strain off traffic and long-distance travel while still keeping you alert. The long wheelbase and short length mean tons of interior space and an excellent ride. The air suspension lifts so you can hop the curb in the urban battlefield or ford a stream as you see fit. Then it can lower to let grandma in easily. Downsides? It's expensive, but not for what you get. This is the best car I've ever driven or owned. BMW and Mercedes ain't got nothing on this Jag. Tesla? Go read the horror stories on Tesla Motors Club. There are several new ones every single day, and they keep getting worse. The only coming competitor is the Taycan, and that not only will be more expensive, it won't have the versatility of a crossover. EQC? EQSlower and smaller inside, because it's a GLC, not a bespoke EV platform. The same goes for the Audi eTron. Worried about range? If you can afford an I-Pace, you can afford plain tickets. Worried about charging? You plug it in at night and it's full the next day. Don't be a fool sitting at a Supercharger, bragging about how you saved $10 by spending 60 minutes in a parking lot. BEST. CAR. EVER.

Worst experience with a luxury vehicle. EVER!
I purchased a 2019 I-Pace because I wanted a luxury EV. I was impressed with the design and the sales reps at my local dealership. So much so that I purchased a second vehicle, a F-Type that same week. I should researched the I-Pace more in depth. Within two months, the car began to shake, not turn on even with a full battery, stall, brakes malfunctioning, every warning light being illuminated. After four separate visits to the service dept, Jaguar could not find the problem. So much so, that they even recommended I lemon law it. After reading reviews and discovering that even Jaguar had severe concerns that the quality of their vehicles was sub par was very frustrating. To this date I am still having issues and my lemon law claim is still pending. Sorry Jaguar, but you let me down with your product.

Awesome car
I love my I Pace and it is probably my favorite car after owning many top models gas from Audi, Porsche, BMW and Mercedes. Beautiful, comfortable and a joy to drive. Initially I had a problem with the 12V start up battery, once that was fixed I have had no problems at all.

Used but feels and drives like new
I purchased a used 2019 with 19k miles. It is wonderful. 20 inch wheels with air suspension and two electric motors that really pull. The infotainment is the main drawback, but Carplay and Android Auto make it work. Love the styling and 12 way seats. Range is not an issue, as I map out long trips with many decent options for public DCFC in my state.

Misses in several aspects
While the I-Pace is a nice car, it has multiple design flaws. No spare tire space even though runflats aren’t offerred. Only 7.2 kw home charge and real life 84 kw CCS on the road means much longer times to recharge than E-tron or Teslas. Regen breaking set at high is unusable for most people. Significant tire noise from all corners as well as electric motor whine. Road imperfections come through for a bumpy ride. Push button gears is not intuitive and requires looking down. AC was slow to cool interior on a hot day. At $89000 these issues shouldn’t exist.

Best Vehicle I ever Owned!
After 15 yrs selling a couple thousand new Lexus, Acura, Maserati, Mercedes, Porsche, Jaguar and Range Rover brands... I thought I had seen the best of the lux import spectrum, and retired early1 Then, while in for service on my beloved F-Pace... I checked out the showroom model I Pace. It was soon in our garage a few days later! It truly is a 'stealth fighter'... Attractive front spoiler... not extreme like the plastic-y plain Jane front and rear like Tesla, but at 70k after tax credit, faster and half the price of Elon's baby. With its catapult off an aircraft carrier sub 4 sec acceleration; gorgeous control stack and selectable drive modes, from Econ to 'Chequered flag' insano-mode, it appeals to crossover utility intenders, to the middle aged (yawn...911 in the garage) crowd. I charge to 200+ mi range in an hour with the must-have 240v upgrade charger ($600) Warranty covers 90kw, 550ft lbs of torque battery system... 8yrs/ 100,000 miles against 20% degradation in range. I love it's seamless innovation, limited build to keep the Porsche/ AMG crowd guessing what left them blocks behind (!) ...the steering begs you to do a Race Track event. * Lastly, Jaguar's I Pace Concierge Service) provides lifetime synthetic Oil changes, (Lexus costs $250 every 5,000 miles) Transmissionn fluids, belts, and replacement graphene/ titanium plugs (worth $10,000) and Unlimited... Life Of The Car/ Iridium Dual Sports Converter/ tuned Active Output Exhaust System Complimentary Replacement (even if you bump a curb, or damage it for any reason at all) valued at $12,250! (In closing, please refer to all items mentioned after the * as a little Electric Vehicle joke, as there are no plugs, exhaust, transmission or need for oil changes!!!! Gotcha!)

Best car I ever owned
I have been fortunate to have leased so many fantastic cars over my life including Audi S8, BMW 740, Porsche Cayenne and more. The Jaguar I Pace is my first electric car and I LOVE it. So much fun to drive, excellent control and the interior is beautiful and comfortable. I like it so much I am no longer leasing cars, I'm keeping this one.

More exciting than a corvette!
Well maybe just a tad under the excitement level of a z06 but this is really an incredible first attempt by jaguar to give tesla a run for its money. I have the First Edition which is fully loaded with some great tech. The only real tesla-request gimmick would be a spotlight jaguar logo that is cast upon the ground and various lighting color selections for your interior mood lighting. Power delivery is incredible and it will beat a 100D from a standstill. Personally I like the external styling and interior much better than alll electric vehicles currently available. I have already used the foot-gesture to open the rear hatch with both hands full of groceries. It works great! The only downside I see thus far is the infotainment center controls. The interface looks great visually but is laggy and rather disorganized. I’m sure Jaguar will fix this with some over the air software updates. Mileage will vary. I live in a mountain area and I get about 200 miles to a full charge on eco mode. In performance mode and blasting off at every stop light reduces total miles significantly. Overall I LOVE this car/sub/crossover and my z06 is seriously getting jealous sitting in the garage. Oh and the self driving mode is excellent! It maintains center of the lane and auto-stops and accelerates nearly identical to a tesla. Very impressive!

Broke down on way home from dealership
Great car when it works. I bought mine from new and within 30 miles of leaving the dealership had warning lights saying the emergency breaking and lane assist were not working. At 50 miles I had significantly reduced power. Got home (60 miles) and warning came up to say ‘loss of drive- stop’. Called Jaguar assist who told me that I’d have to wait 2 days before anyone could come out to inspect - given the car on 70 miles old and having spent £75k, this wasn’t acceptable. After some polite conversation, the two days became one. When mechanic did arrive he discovered 30 faults and car is being collected tomorrow. Massively frustrating and very average customer service so far.

Never buy or rent one of these!!!
Never, ever get one of these! We took out a rental agreement with Pivotal on 4June 2020. We have had nothing but trouble. The wednesday after taking delivery it stopped charging midway. We then went on holiday to Devon on Friday and it wouldn't recharge to come home. AA breakdown came out on Saturday night but could not fix. Jaguar JLR technician couldn't come til Monday morning which was the earliest he could come out, (so children can no longer claim their 100% attendance certificates for school, we both lost a days pay, I had paid £300 for a mock ofsted inspection which was disadvantaged). Anyway he updated some software, it charged. The car was booked to go into garage on Wednesday, and we drove it in. It remains there and I'm due to return to Devon this afternoon but obviously I have no car! The car is with Guy Salmon who has offered a petrol car but we really don't want this. We have been all electric since 2014 and have had 2 nissan leafs and a Hyundai Ioniq - never have we had the trouble we are having with Jaguar. To cap it all the customer jaguar customer relationship centre is closed and phone goes dead! I am so stressed and yet what you consider we are paying this is appalling
Regenerative Braking
Consider please the Edmunds test drive may have occurred prior to key software upgrades.

Luxury driving in an all eclectic sports SUV
With a real luxury interior, blazing fast speed and the beautiful design of an exotic prototype, you can’t go wrong. My only dislike is the push button transmission. It’s been 6 months and still not intuitive. Other than that a perfect vehicle.

A well designed luxury BEV.
Everything works like a normal gas vehicle so there's nothing new to learn, except the locations of EV chargers! Fit, finish and material quality is superb, performance is stunning. Real life range appears to be just over 200 miles, but with no attempt to be frugal on my part. I did a ~350 trip home when I picked it up stopping twice for approx 25 mins to top up the battery. Easy.

Amazing SUV
I've had mine for 6 months now and love everything about it. I have the first edition wit the 22' wheels - those do ride a little harder than I would like but they look very cool. Great acceleration, great audio system, lots of space.

The Tesla killer
Had my I pace from sept 2018, what a car, normally drive RR Sports, you would never go back once you have had this car.
sweet
This is my second EV vehicle. Fit and finish is outstanding. Ride quite. I have 20,000 miles in 2 years of driving and no issues. Excellent in the winter . Average about 3miles per Kw hour. One peddle driving is fine. No mechanical issues nor electrical problems. It is due for two year inspection otherwise not been back to dealership. The two things I would change would be the infotament system. Somewhat awkward and takes considerable time to get use to. I understand this has been improved. The other is the max DC charging is 100 Kw/h. This could be higher, perhaps 150+. This vehicle replaced a BMW i3 which was one also wonderful.
Problem with chargin I Pace
I buy a 2020 I-Pace HSE version ,the car dont charge with Type 2 wallbox charger at voltaje 237V . On DC fast caharge no problem is ok . I contact service , make new update but the same problem.
