First Hyundai

First impression--a lot of car for the money especially with big dealer discount and factory rebate. Engine more noisy than 18 year old straight six in previously owned Toyota, which was virtually silent. Reported transmission problem of "hunting" not a noticeable flaw --reluctance to shift into 5th gear under 40mph the only objection I had. Excellent "shiftronic" mode. In my opinion, styling rates high. Unlike many imports it doesn't have that "wax meltdown" look but relies on classic lines as do many luxury cars--Lincoln LS Mercedes, many BMW's,Jaguar.

I've found the car performs at or above expectations considering the automobiles the XG350 was originally compared to. After nine months of owning the car, I have had no need service needs and experienced no mechanical defects. After driving the Maxima, Camry, and Tarus, the XG350 handles as well or better, is more comfortable (I'm 6'3" tall), has a few more bells and whistles, and is a more attactive automobile. That coupled with the warrently will result in me buying another XG350 when the time comes.

My brother, father, and I all own XG350s. They are stylish and offer the most features for a reasonable price. How can you beat the warranty or roadside assistance that are standard features? It rides great, smooth and quiet with quick acceleration when needed. Service is also terrific at this dealership. What a deal for the money!!!

We just traded in our 1994 BMW 740iL, which was nothing but a huge headache. This was my wife's idea and I was a little sceptical to say the least, but as soon as I actually got in it and drove it I was very surprised. It drives great...really great. We got the black on black with tinted windows and it sure does not look like a Korean import for under $26k. The performance is excellent, the leather seats are comfortable, and the road handeling is very good also. Go buy it!

I ultimately chose the XG350 over a Honda Accord for several reasons: 1. Unlike the editors of Edmunds, I really like the look of this car; I thought that it was among the best- looking cars I had seen before I even knew what make of car it was. 2. It really does have a long list of standard features, including many that I would expect to find only on a true luxury car costing thousands more. 3. The warranty on this car is outstanding. 4. Considering how much car I got, the price I paid was incredibly low. I paid approximately $2700 less for my X2004 G350 than I would have paid for a comparably-equipped 2003 Accord.

Just a great car. I looked at because some other executives were happy with theirs. I have put 25000 Kms on the car since the middle of March this year, and I love it. My previous cars were, Mercedes, Volkswagon, Toronado, Montecarlo. Montecarlo SS was better handling. But I am going in no races, and my snappy XG350 does it for me.

Fine car, can use a stiffer torsion bar (anti sway) in the back. I would like to see average economy, and instant economy on the display instead of the non-sense distance driven and time driven since the last refill.

This is my 2nd XG. I liked the performance of the XG300 and so decided to try XG350. It is best value for the money. I lived in Korea for 3 years and watched the XG come into it own since 1998. There are a lot of good cars on the market, but none can compare to the XG for value. I've had Buicks, Pontiacs, and Oldsmobiles and the XG is far superior. Try one, you'll be glad!

Whenever I can get the car from my wife to use in our carpool, I take it! Very comfortable and enjoyable ride. The transmission is 'easily confused' as mentioned in other reviews but I have experienced Hyundai since the 1970's and they have really come a long way. Taking my XG in for it's 6000 mile check this week; so far, no problems what-so-ever.

This car has been found to have alot of room & is very responsive on the Highway. It handles great- especially in the winter & the rainpuddles with the Traction Control featureI have found this car to bethe best for the DOLLAR when you concider that a car of = calibur will cost you at least 7K more for the same features- including the leather interior ! Super comfoftability with the power seats, especially on a long 5 hr trip- No fatigue experienced. Will Cruise comefortably @ 85 so use the speed control.

I drove this car for a month as a rental car mostly on interstate highways. The car handles great and is very comfortable. It is a poor man's Lexus. The drive train when in Auto position in fine. I did not feel the transmission hunting. I think this car is an execellent value and thats why I bought one. Nothing else comes close for the price.

My need was to get my wife into a dependable large car. I eliminated domestic cars because I feel they have let the buyers down far too long. I looked at the Japanese cars and wanted more. The Korean cars are the real comers. I went with the XG 350 and could not be happier. It is no Maybach, but does not pretend to be.

My previous car, a 1999 Toyota Solara, was difficult to match. It was a manual 5-speed trans, which I could no longer drive daily, so decided to go more luxury than sporty. I researched and test drove various models of Acura, Lexus, BMW, Toyota, and Mazda. My son has a 2003 Accent, drove it over 30,000 in a year, and has had no problems, so I included the Hyundai XG350 in my search. I drove it, and was very impressed. For $10,000-15,000 less (at least) than any of the other models comparably equipped I am satisfied that I have a solid, reliable car.

We purchased this car in September of 2003 when it just came out and have been completely thrilled with it. All our friends drive Mercedes but we feel so proud of our car because we paid so much less than they did. For those of who you hesitate to buy this car because it's a Hyundai - don't! You'll feel good knowing you purchased a luxary car for the best price.

The XG350L has all the goodies of the Avalon XLS at $7,000 less (list price). Love the smooth and quite ride, fit and finish of the car, and love the memory seats with the auto seat feature allowing for getting in and out of the car so easy. I formerly drove Acura TL, Volkswagen Passat GLX and this has the same build quality at a much better price. I can't understand the reviewers talking about the transmission hunting. The transmission and brakes are outstanding parts of the experience. All heads turn when I'm on the road trying to find out what brand of car this is. All my friends are absolutely astounded by the looks, both on the outside and inside.

Ihave owned Lincolns most of my life. When I HAD A near fatal accident in March of 2004, I decided to get a different kind of car since it took so long to find another Lincoln made the same year of the other one that was wrecked. The car dealer asked me if I had seen or driven the350L,I told him no.That is when I was introduced to the 350L.I have been satisfied:more mileage, use regular gas, and most of all,15,000 cheaper. It has the same features and more.

I've had my new 2004 XG350 for 1 1/2 weeks and put 1700 miles on it already. The car ride is very smooth and comfortable and the interior is very luxurious for a car at this price. There are no cheap interior plastic pieces like you will find on the Nissan Altima 3.5. Although the Nissan has more HP, the 194HP of the XG is more than enough to get up to speed on those short highway on-ramps. So far this car is a winner in my book. I'll update this review as time and the miles go by.

I like this car immensely. I wish it had a smoother transmission, but it is not bad, only 1st gear is a little goosy. The fit and finish is comparable to Lincoln, Lexus and BMW. It is far better than the small Cadillac CTS. It is a great all day cruiser and is exceptional in mountain terrain with its Selectronic transmission. I have been getting 29.7 mpg on highways trips at speeds of 70-75 mph with a/c on. It is not that good in stop and go traffic more like 20-22. This car has just about every conceivable option that one could want except a telescoping steering wheel, which I would like. I would also like to have a chirp signal to let me know the doors are locked when parking. Great Car.
