great love it great looking grives nice sporty elegant
Love the car!
Best car I've ever owned. I'd put it up against the Acura, the smaller Lexuses, or the Infinity I 35. I looked at a lot of cars before I test drove the 2001 300L. I went to look at it on a lark. Took it out for a test drive and decided to buy it after driving it no more than 50 yrds. or so. I can't wait to buy my new one this October! It's the best kept secret in the automotive industry! Are they selling it below cost, or is everyone else selling theirs over cost?

A Great Car
This is my first foreign car and I am very impressed. This car has so many extra features that you would expect in much more expensive cars. It rides and drives great.
A Lot of Car
My XG350L coonstanly amazes me in performance, appearance and overall reliability. It is equipped with more standard features ( called added Options by other Manufacturers) than the Lincoln LS and is indeed a pleasure to show off to friends and neighbors. Everything is of the highest quality to include the interior leather, the floor mats, automatic seat controls, wipers and tires. This is a quality automobile
Pleased Consumer
I am a 67 year old widow who's husband retired from Ford in Dearborn, MI and was a firm believer in "Buying American". The only thing my husband would put me in is Big American Luxury cars, mainly Ford because of the employee discounts. I guess he would roll in his grave if he could see what I am driving now! When is the American Auto Manufacturer's going to get it? People want to most value for their hard earned dollar. My husband used to wash, wax, change the oil, etc in our cars. Well my Hyundai dealer changes the oil in my XG350L for life for "FREE". Now how can I beat that?
xg350L
Extremely fun to drive with a look of luxary. If you were to combine a Lincoln Continental and a Toyota Avalon you would have a XG350L for thousands less.
I'M LOVIN IT!
I TOOK A JOB LAST YEAR AT A LUXURY CAR DEALERSHIP. I SOON DISCOVERED I LIKED LUXURY CARS. AND I NEEDED ONE. BUT COULD NOT AFORD ONE. THE TASK WAS SET. MY SEARCH BROUGHT ME THE BEAUTIFUL XG350L FROM HYUNDIA.I GOT BLACK ON BLACK LEATHER, W/EVERYTHING! EVERYTHING THAT LUXURY CARS HAVE AND MORE. THAT CAR MAKES ME FEEL LIKE A PRINCESS. I FIND IT JUST AS LUXURIOUS AS AN INFINITI ONLY MORE STYLISH. AND AT HALF THE PRICE! EVERYONE STARES TOO.
Love it!!
My 350XL is one of the nicest cars I have ever had and I've been driving over half a century. It is so driver friendly and comfortable. A friend was so impressed he went down to buy one for his wife when he drove mine. I only wish Hyundia made a smaller model with the extras my 350XL has.
More than I expected!
Whenever I can get the car from my wife to use in our carpool, I take it! Very comfortable and enjoyable ride. The transmission is 'easily confused' as mentioned in other reviews but I have experienced Hyundai since the 1970's and they have really come a long way. Taking my XG in for it's 6000 mile check this week; so far, no problems what-so-ever.
UNDER RATED AUTO BY EDMUNDS AND OTHERS
THE 350XGL IS VIRTUALLY FLAWLESS...THOUGH IT DOES NOT RECEIVE RATINGS ABOVE 5-6 BY AUTO EXPERTS. THIS IS NOT FAIR AND HELPFUL TO POTENTIAL BUYERS. THIS CAR SHOULD BE COMPARED TO LINCOLN, BMW, VOLVO, INFINITY ETC., AND NOT RELAGATED TO CHEAP NISSANS, HONDAS, ETC.
XG350L - WOW
I drove this car for a month as a rental car mostly on interstate highways. The car handles great and is very comfortable. It is a poor man's Lexus. The drive train when in Auto position in fine. I did not feel the transmission hunting. I think this car is an execellent value and thats why I bought one. Nothing else comes close for the price.
Best Value on The Market
My need was to get my wife into a dependable large car. I eliminated domestic cars because I feel they have let the buyers down far too long. I looked at the Japanese cars and wanted more. The Korean cars are the real comers. I went with the XG 350 and could not be happier. It is no Maybach, but does not pretend to be.
Comfort & Reliability at a Great Price!
My previous car, a 1999 Toyota Solara, was difficult to match. It was a manual 5-speed trans, which I could no longer drive daily, so decided to go more luxury than sporty. I researched and test drove various models of Acura, Lexus, BMW, Toyota, and Mazda. My son has a 2003 Accent, drove it over 30,000 in a year, and has had no problems, so I included the Hyundai XG350 in my search. I drove it, and was very impressed. For $10,000-15,000 less (at least) than any of the other models comparably equipped I am satisfied that I have a solid, reliable car.
Don't let the name fool you!
We purchased this car in September of 2003 when it just came out and have been completely thrilled with it. All our friends drive Mercedes but we feel so proud of our car because we paid so much less than they did. For those of who you hesitate to buy this car because it's a Hyundai - don't! You'll feel good knowing you purchased a luxary car for the best price.
One happy owner
we are thrilled with the look, the comfort and reliability xg350L. Everyone who sees it loves it, and it's a joy to drive,
Great Auto
Bought the XG350 2 years ago and have nothing but praise for it. The only service has been regular maintaince and gas milage could not be better.
XG350
Great car
xg350
Great Car lots of features, outstanding warrantee although never used yet. The things a lexus wo/ the high price
Happy Hyundi Owner
I have been very satisfied with this automobile. I found it to be a solid car with almost every feature I could ever afford. It has very good acceleration and the braking is also excellent. I have found this car to be a solid performer.

NEVER BEEN MORE PLEASED WITH A CAR
The best car value for my money!
My last two cars were a Lincoln Continental and a Cadillac Catera. I recently traded in the Catera for my Hyundai and love it. My husband and I took a two week road trip and logged over 4000 miles. The composition of this car is solid. The luxury features of the car are more than I can ask for. I am fed up with US made cars and want to know when Hyundai will get on the NYSE.
I LOVE MY HYUNDAI
HYUNDAI IS FAIRLY NEW TO THE MARKET AND I WAS WORRIED ABOUT THIS. WE BOUGHT IT BECAUSE OF THE SIGNIFICANT SAVINGS VS. THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF FEATURES. IT TURNED OUT TO BE A FABULOUS VALUE FOR A FABULOUS CAR. WE HAD A LOT OF ICE AND SNOW ON CAPE COD THIS WINTER AND I DID NOT SLIP EVEN ONCE IN SPITE OF BEING OUT IN ONE OF THE WORST SNOW AND ICE AND STORMS ON THE CAPE IN YEARS. THE DAY I PICKED IT UP IT WAS ALSO SNOW AND ICE ALL THE WAY HOME. MY HUSBAND WAS FOLLOWING ME IN A 300SDL MERCEDES WHICH WAS SLIPPING, WHILE MY NEW HYUNDAI WAS NOT.
Very Underrated Automobile
I was looking for a reasonable pre-owned car after losing my company car. After reading Consumer Reports, this one seemed a decent bet. Picked it up dirt cheap ($10,750) with 30k miles. Overall, it has been very solid. Not quite to level of Honda and Toyota quality, but not too far off. Handling is decent. Looks (interior and exterior) like a much more expensive car. Issues: (1) Speakers suck. I replaced fronts with Pioneer 2 way($50 Walmart) and sound greatly improved. (2) Drive by wire throttle is touchy. Drive easy for awhile and it will calm down plus you will get used to the hair trigger. (3) Gas mileage is fair for a car of this size (about 22 to 24). Overall, quite pleased.
all the toys
my xg350l is a 2003 not a 2004. i purchased it in december of 2002 and have 12000 enjoyable miles on it . the fuel economy is great average 24 mpg. i think of my 350 as the poor mans lincoln. hope that hyundai considers using the 350 platform for the hybrid rather than the elantra. irv.
XG350L
After great experience with 4 Sonata's since 1990,the XG350L is all it's made out to be!
Great Car . . .
Love the car! The 2004 model has taken care of the confusion with the auto transmission. Rides nicely (could be quieter), fold-down rear seats turn this comfy car to into an efficient cargo hauler. This is my second Hyundai - love both cars - and my second Hyundai dealer. If I buy a third Hyundai, I would search out another dealer.
better then accord
I have owned Camary and Accord both and this car is better then both. Wow!!
I AM AMAZED!!
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL AND AMAZING CAR..I HAVE THE LOADED BLACK L CLASS..NO ONE BELIEVES IT'S A KOREAN HYUNDAI!!..I WOULD HAVE ENJOYED A MORE "PLUSH" DRIVERS SEAT AND A COMPASS..ALSO--IT SHOULD HAVE A WARNING BELL WHEN THE PARKING BRAKE IS ENGAGED!!..THE CAR IS AN "AUTO SECRET" THAT SOON---EVERYONE WILL KNOW ABOUT!!...A VERY FINE AUTO!!..I FINALLY RECIEVED A SMALL 2ND MANUEL EXPALINING HOW TO USE SOME OF THE COMPLICATED FEATURES!!...ALMOST THERE!!..BUT GREAT!!
2004 XG350 Best Yet
I purchased a 2003 Sonata last year and liked it so much that I decided to trade up to the 2004 XG350L. The car is the best value out there and the ride, amenities and finish of the car are excellent. I would recommend the car to anyone looking for a luxury sedan without the luxury price!
I Love my 350L
The exterior, The inteior, the way it handles. It is worth every cent and more.
2003 Hyundai XG350
This is a great luxury car at half the price. I love the style, interior and the drive. I have always bee a Caddy man, but after having some problems with Caddy on their warranty, I sold my deville and bought the 2003 XG 350. I am now the happiest person around... I even got there extended warranty, BUMPER TO BUMPER 10 years or 100,000 miles. Can't beat that deal, and best of all I got 0% financing for 5 years and the car cost me only $20,000.00 NEW.
Great Value
Owned the car 3 mos. and driven 4500 miles with no problems. It's a great value for the money. Only feature that I miss from my previous car is steering wheel controls for the radio.
Excellent Car - No problems for 80k
No problems for 80k miles. Gas, oil, tires, brake pads, wiper blades. that's it. runs perfect and smooth, quiet, good acceleration. it's time for a second set of brake pads and tires. i will get the belts replaced. i am keeping it.
2 XG in 2 years
I have purchased 2 XG's in 2 years the car was a surprising success with me. I have owned Mazda's, Porche's, Toyota's and Honda's the XG is a sure winner.
XG350
I totally like my new XG and have no complaints after driving it everyday for 9 months.
New Car
The cvar is very quiet and comfortable. I put a sub woofer in the trunk and now i love everything about the car.
Luv it!
I drove Mercedes for 15 years, most recently a 420SEL. After 150,000 miles decided to get a new car. Decided not to spend $80,000+ again. Bought the XG350 last January and am totally satisfied. Has everything the Lexus has except GPS at half the price. I literally have never even had the car back to the dealer for service; just change the oil and drive away.
Awsom so far
So far we love our new XG350L we have owned it for about month.
owner's comments
i like the full leather interior, the wood-grain accents, the arrangment of the instrumentation, the power of the 3.5 liter engine, the ride & many more features too numerous to mention here.
xg350
i am pleasantly surprised at the comfort and reliability of this vehicle.
Had to have a new one
Had a XG 300L and loved it.Want a new car and the best got even better all around. The ride, power and sound system the best for thousands less.Hyundai has made their mark in the automotive world with this car.
Great car to buy
Great car to buy at even higher price. It's a bargain. The car is full of pleasant surprizes. Smooth quiet ride. Acceleration phenominal for a 194 HP. There are no options that you need to add except maybe a GPS. All the options are standard and too numerous to mention.
Best Car I have owned
This car is wonderful to drive on the road, everything in the car is luxury. I have only owned Hondas in the past. this car is far superior. I looked at VW's, Honda's, etc, and this car really out performs all of them, execpt for the VW construction quality. The price for what you are getting compared to the others is no comparision.
good value
albeit there are a few downs, overall this car is great value for the dollar. good power great comfort, sound system, lights, long term cruise, etc. could use better traction control, overhead sunroof/lights control switches lighted for easy use at night. tire size limits performance and winter options, but on the whole for the price it is a great car that convinces folks it is a higher end product than they expect from hyundai. 10 year bumper to bumper for an extra $800. How can you beat that?
good
good car, great value
Chose The Hyundai
* 10 year / 100000 mile warranty * We liked the exterior styling * Had the options we liked * Had a good combination of power and economy * A firmer suspension would be a good improvemet * Contrary to the editor, I thought the transmission was fine (have not confused it yet)
First Hyundai
First impression--a lot of car for the money especially with big dealer discount and factory rebate. Engine more noisy than 18 year old straight six in previously owned Toyota, which was virtually silent. Reported transmission problem of "hunting" not a noticeable flaw --reluctance to shift into 5th gear under 40mph the only objection I had. Excellent "shiftronic" mode. In my opinion, styling rates high. Unlike many imports it doesn't have that "wax meltdown" look but relies on classic lines as do many luxury cars--Lincoln LS Mercedes, many BMW's,Jaguar.
Pleased
I've found the car performs at or above expectations considering the automobiles the XG350 was originally compared to. After nine months of owning the car, I have had no need service needs and experienced no mechanical defects. After driving the Maxima, Camry, and Tarus, the XG350 handles as well or better, is more comfortable (I'm 6'3" tall), has a few more bells and whistles, and is a more attactive automobile. That coupled with the warrently will result in me buying another XG350 when the time comes.
A "Small" Review of the Hyundai XG350
My brother, father, and I all own XG350s. They are stylish and offer the most features for a reasonable price. How can you beat the warranty or roadside assistance that are standard features? It rides great, smooth and quiet with quick acceleration when needed. Service is also terrific at this dealership. What a deal for the money!!!
good car
10 times better than '04 Toyota Camry and Honda Accord and much more equipped, and ofcourse cheap price and 10 yrs Warranty!
