Used 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe Consumer Reviews
Nifty "mini" SUV,
This vehical is a joy to drive. It has the get up and go that we expected and the room to haul all that a family of four need for a week long road trip. It is all neatly packaged in a stylish and unique body. Don't let yourself buy any Suv without at least test driving this. It is worth your time and money!
GREAT CAR for the money....
I am only 16 years old and this was my first car and I bought a 2002 Hyundai sante fe and I bought it used at 60,000 miles and for about 6,200. I was hoping to get an suv because I have to drive about 2 hours each weekend during the winter through the snow and this car holds up really well, I don't have the all wheel drive version but even just the 2 wheel drive does really well. Its great in snow and rain. Another reason I got this car is because for an suv it has pretty good gas mileage. Its a good car pretty cheap and I love I highly recommend it. The only thing I could complain about is how when I go over 70 the wheel shakes but that has happened since I had the car. But great car!

More than happy Santa Fe GLS Owner!!!
Reviewed and researched for two months all SUVs in this bracket but nothing came close. Escape/Tribute did not have good reliability reviews, Highlander's too expensive, CR-V is small. Couldn't find anything wrong with the Santa Fe except for the engine needing more horses. Took 4wd GLS for a test drive. Was very good but I went for 2wd for more power for the engine, but got it along with the abs/traction control. I think I made a very good and wise choice. Right now, I just have one complaint - I'm not getting the mileage ratings - although the dealer said that we'll reach the mileage ratings after break-in/3k miles.
Thank Goodess for the Warranty
Problems with paint, had to have the car painted 3 times. Electrical peoblems with the interior lights and radio. Took it in for 2 recalls which one of the recalls I was never notified of. Very disappointed with the purshase of this SUV. I wish I would of gotten a more promosing and reliable SUV such as Toyota.
Sweet SUV
i absolutely love this vehicle.. i guess working with a great hyundai sales manager (Walter Van at Lamar Hyundai in Cerritos, Calfornia) made this deal even sweeter.. for 20,500 out the door.. yup.. under invoice.. there is no suv comparable at that price range and with all the SF's standard features... driving is believing.. from a family of all toyotas.. hyundai has changed this skeptical buyer into a believer..
