Best car ever!

This car is fantastic. I can't say enough good things about it. It is comfortable, spacious, and handles very well. The pick up is great - you'd never know it was electric. I could go on and on - but I would be here all day. Highly recommend.

Refreashing style. Tesla style a bit long in the tooth. Great driving. Reasonable range. Didn’t have Waite for 8 months

Revelatory, but plebian surfaces and paint quality

ErnieM, 02/19/2022
2022 Hyundai IONIQ 5 SE 4dr SUV AWD (electric DD)

Upon arrival the 5 appears larger than in photos, and a bit of a science project. The protruding hood appears to beg being nicked, and the paint quality suffers from significant orange peel. Interior is indeed commodious in size, with comfy front seats, but surfaces are declasse for the price point indeed. Rear cargo space and access are impressive, as is slightly taller stance than pictured, using tall tire/wheels for winter and slight off-road capabilities. The "Z" side-sculps are neither interesting nor repulsive. The long inner door grab handles are a nice touch. The exterior flippable door handles seem fragile...especially when iced up?); the rear doors required a significant slam to fully close. I'm hoping that the Limited iteration boasts nicer interior touches...and at least an electronic hatch closure, which is weirdly missing on the SE, making it impossible for short folks to close it? If the delta to the upcoming GV60 is less than +10-15% then, despite more conventional exterior, it may be a much more compelling semi-luxurious choice, as the 5 SE feels like a $30k econobox.

The car is great. Fun to learn all the technology that makes this car an adventure in high tech. Once charger is set up in the garage I will be happier. The public charging situation doesn’t work for me. Takes too long and don’t want to hunt for open spots. But car is really nice. !!
