nice
I just got my h3 two days ago, its rely nice it drives like a dream, looks great, and the sunroof is huge. but i have put only 150 miles on it and it is already in the shop, i got a mesage "service 4wheel drive" some one came out from the dealership to fix it but i had to be towed, i didnt even take the vehical off road and it still broke, hopefully it was justa factory error and it wont happen again, thjis is common with new vehicals hopewfully no too common with mine
h3
Really a nice truck. Has typical GM lack of thought. Hard to reach seat controls, window controls just where you would put your arm to rest, mi- installed exterior parts (upper marker lights, forward edge exposed makes horrible wind noise), no grab handle for the driver, no mirror for the driver. Overall a nice vehicle for the money it has just gotten the GM penny pinching that would have made it great!

Great SUV, if you're single
The H3 is eye catching. It has a large sunroof, big step in height, and the Hummer lines. I think GM has created an excellent SUV to compete against itself. Much better than Trailblazer/Envoy/Rainer SUV's in handling and quality construction. However, this is no Lexus. The H3 is not designed well for families with kids. 3 cup holders and no place for sunglasses.I would think $38,000 would buy a little more. Driver's info center (nope), large center console (nope), easy to reach window and seat controls (nope). For people without kids or as a second vehicle it is very fun to drive, feels safe, and is smooth even with 33inch wheels/tires.Of course I still love my H3, even with it's shortcomings
Dirt Hummer
Got my H3 in Sept, went to Western Colorado and Moab Utah. Took out back seat to allow sleeping in back (getting old, don't like the ground any more, pitching a tent takes too long) Yes needs flat floor and about 4 more inches. Climbed everything, I Have off road package,( 5 spd)did need low range, didn't have to lock up the rear axel.Used the locker ounce at Moab, nothing too challenging as I don't have the nerf bars on yet. Gears are whinny in low range, the hold back feature on down hills is great, saves brakes. MPG on Hwy 17-18.5 in town 18-19!! Needs something up front to cut wind improve aeros. Door seals keep dust out, but allow it inside doors, pain to clean. needs 25 more HP.
Not Happy!
I've had my H3 now for 19 months and it has been in the shop 4 times. TV monitor went out, heated seats quit working. I've had it in 3 times just for the 5 speed manual. It wont go into 1st, 2nd or reverse gears..I have to almost brake the gear shift to get it to go into gear. I get stuck at lights and traffic with people blowing their horns because I cant get it into gear. I took it in twice and they said it was fine, they couldnt find anything wrong until I went for a test drive with a mechanic and he said they would replace the stick shift. It worked great for 2 weeks and now I'm back to not being able to get it into gear. Doors lock & unlock by themselves now, eletrical problem.
