A generation ahead of the competition
I researched and test drove the Tacoma, Frontier, and the Colorado. The Ridgeline was hands-down the best truck for me. I am a contractor & this is my daily driver. I carry tools in the trunk, and three or four men to job sites every morning. There's always something in the bed. Honda could take a cue from Chevy and put a step in the rear bumper, as the bed is high to make room for the deep trunk. The truck is quick, smooth driving, quiet and comfortable. Payload is more than adequate for a midsize truck, and it tows 5000 pounds with ease. The trimline packaging limits configuration. I would like to have had the suite of safety features without some of the frills that came with higher trim levels. The bed is too high & shallow & I prefer my 1st gen Ridgeline. Still, it’s better than the competition for my purposes ( now retired) I sold the truck after owning it for only 18 months because of the shallow bed & the bed height, I needed more bed volume. Still, I would buy another Ridgeline.

Great Job
This is our 3rd one and it's by far the best , they truly got it right. We test drove the new Chevy and GMC as well as the Toyota , quite frankly there is no comparison in the ride , handling or quietness that this truck provides. It truly presents the perfect combination of the practicality of a truck with the driving comfort and ease of a luxury vehicle. The redesign hit the mark and we could not be more pleased with the truck.

Best truck I've ever owned!
I was looking for a truck that offered the level of comfort and luxury of an upscale car or SUV, and the Ridgeline is totally it! It was a bit on the pricey side (though I did add almost $4,000 in add-ons), but when considering what I got for the price, I can't really complain. I'm still in awe of how smooth and unbelievably quiet a ride it is, which I tell friends is comparable to the Cadillac Sedan de Ville I used to drive on occasion for work. I'm not a fan of the built-in nav system, but since it has Apple Car Play I just use Apple Maps, which is much better (though not as good as Waze, which I wish could be used with Car Play). I also can't get the system to recognize ANY voice commands, but then again I rarely try since I'm not a fan of vocal commands anyway. But features like the two-way tailgate and especially the trunk are WAY cool and never fail to impress friends and other truck owners. I was also VERY pleasantly surprised by the acceleration and pick-up it has. I've only had the truck a few weeks so I can't comment on maintenance or reliability, but so far I'd say that it's the best new vehicle purchase I've ever made!

Great Ride
The unibody construction makes the ride and handling very smooth for a pickup truck. Not sure why some reviews focus on the audio system not having a knob to adjust the volume; I use the audio controls on the steering wheel to do this. The two way tailgate makes loading and unloading much easier than a conventional drop down tailgate. The Honda Sensing package includes lane departure warning, blind spot warning, adaptive cruise control and warning of approaching traffic when backing out.

Frozen gas flap.
The truck is great. Very happy with our purchase. We have own it for 6 months. We didn’t have any problems until we had a deep freeze. The temperature outside was 20 degree. We went to fill the truck up with gas. We open the gas door . We tried to put the gas nozzle thru the flap and the flap was frozen shut. We called the dealership. They told us to purchase Lock deicer. We were afraid to use it. We used a small screwdriver to break up the ice. We are hoping that this isn’t going to be a problem in the future. The dealership said they had many calls about the same problem. We also are worried that water might be getting in the tank then from the build up of ice.
