Used 2018 Honda Odyssey EX-L 4dr Minivan (3.5L 6cyl 9A) Consumer Reviews
Great baby hauler
Overall this minivan has turned out better than we thought. We needed something to haul a baby & a toddler and all their stuff around (stroller, toys, diapers, bottles, blankets, ... ) and our compact SUV wasn't cutting it anymore, esp. when you had to sit between the carseats to enjoy "stereo" crying. The car steers pretty smoothly, similar feel to our Subaru Forester. It has a lot of nice little perks, esp love Android Auto and all the charging ports. Very comfortable ride and even when you are sitting between the carseats, you don't feel wedged.

Great family van with everything!
We keep finding neat little details that make the minivan more useful than any other car. Honda has a fully integrated design and they have thought about everything.

Defective software, unsafe. Last Honda we ever buy
Severe software and manufacturer problems. Our car stopped working altogether just nine months after being bought new. In an attempt to refuse responsibility, dealer outright lied that the Honda warranty does not cover the Odyssey's problems. We have always been a Honda family so our experience with the new Odyssey has been shocking just from the unbelievable decline in quality. This is the last Honda we ever buy due to the negligence in safety and software.

The Nickelback of Minivans
I used to worry that driving a minivan was going to be embarrassing. But after I purchased a 2018 Honda Odyssey EX-L, I realized it's even more embarrassing to not drive one, while having to beg an indifferent service adviser to lend you a Hyundai Elantra because your van is in the shop again. So far this van has had two recalls (both for safety issues), a passenger sliding door that flew open while we were driving, and now a loud whining noise in 1st, 2nd gear and reverse that they say is a transmission issue, but Honda North America won't verify. The van has 11,000 miles on it, and has spent 12 days in the shop so far. Our Honda experience has been the worst of any car we've ever owned. Unreliable, with poor service to boot.

Too many issues- so we traded it after two years
This van was a disappointment overall for us. We had owned a 2004 Nissan Quest and a 2012 Nissan Quest before this and when a new Quest was not available, we thought we would go with a "reliable" Honda Odyssey. Wrong. The sliding doors were a nightmare. They wouldn't close right almost from the start. Then, add in some gravel dust base on our living on 1.5 miles of gravel to pavement, it only got worse. We could literally see gravel dust bellowing into our van around the slider door "seals." The doors acted up worse as time went on. Honda service was unable to resolve it. The final straw was a $480 O2 sensor filter thing that went out due to gravel dust and wasn't covered under warranty. On the positive side, the Hondas do hold their value so we ended up okay on the trade. We purchased a 2021 Hyundai Palisade and it was the BEST decision EVER for us! Wow! What an upgrade! Sorry, Honda, but your "perfect" van was not so perfect and needs some work.
