Used 2010 Honda Insight Consumer Reviews
Economical: Yes!! Fast: No!!
This car was made to sip gas. It does that. It was not made to be fast. It is not fast. It is terribly underpowered. I like the hatchback for carrying things. Steering is numb. Car is relatively quiet except on hard acceleration where the underpowered engine groans.
Insight, not only insightful, delightful
I drive a lot in my line of work as a claims adjuster. I'm getting between 43-48 on my highway drives, so I'm definitely loving this car. Costs me less than $25 to fill up. Can fit two kids (ages 6 & 8) nicely. My two boxer dogs fit nicely in the hatch area even with the back seat in position. If you are on the fence, take the jump. This is a great car!!!

The Perfect Car For Me
I jumped into the final days of the Clunker Program looking for a Prius but either the dealer stopped taking clunkers and had a car, or took clunkers but no car. I thought I was compromising when I landed an LX Insight and got rid of my 1996 GMC Yukon as a clunker. I was wrong. The Honda Insight is a consumer- specific vehicle that perfectly matches my driving parameters. Around town for errands with occasional highway driving. My family has their own cars so only in a blue moon would four passengers be riding. The vehicle is inexpensive, looks great, fun to drive, will save me a bundle on gas, it's reliable, and has world class re-sale value. The perfect car for me.
What Noisy Ride?
I was looking for an "adult" ride to replace my '05 Vibe. This is less expensive than the Vibe was, and is a delightful, crisp handling, and (compared to the Vibe) quiet. I love this thing. All in all a really classy vehicle for the price.
Great MPG, cool looking car
I have owned several Honda's in the past, I think this is one of the nicest ones yet. The look of the car is great, it reminds me of the Honda CRX's back in the 80's. I only wish it had a moonroof like my previous Civic. The Econ mode really helps with the fuel economy and I am averaging right at 44 mpg with the first 3000 miles I have put on it. When driving this car it seems to make my a lot less stressed then driving other cars, I guess it just gives you a good feeling knowing you are driving a 'green' vehicle. Honda is right it is the first hybrid for everyone.
