Used 2010 Honda Insight Consumer Reviews
I love my Insight
Great car. I get about 46-48mpg on average each tank of gas (I reset the calculation with each fill up) during my daily commute which includes some city stop and go traffic and some highway driving. Keep it on "Econ" feature most of the time. It picks up great when getting on the highway and passing. Smooth transition when stop and go (although it was jumpy when I first got it. Not sure if my driving changed, or if it had to go through a breaking in period). Only problem is that it sometimes rolls back if you stop on a steep hill, and you need to take the econ button off when going up a steep hill. Concerned about what this will mean in the winter. I love passing and parking next to Priuses.
Honda beats Prius
I drove both and hands down the Insight drove better and was more responsive than the Prius. Very enjoyable ride in the hybrid era. I really enjoy the way that the car encourages you to drive with efficiency. The stereo rocks and the car is smooth and sleek. Nice to have a car that stands out and has a great look, especially the front and rear design. I am very happy with the decision to buy this car!

Nice car
I am liking this car more as the gas prices go up. I get decent mileage. Around 45-50 on the highway, 36-40 city. Cruise control seems to use up more gas in my opinion. I've had no problems with the battery as some reviews have mentioned. My navigation disc is outdated. For some reason I have a 2007 version in my car. Honda offered to split the cost with me. It should be free for all the money the navigation system cost!! The front passenger seat is uncomfortable for a large person. This is a leased car but I think I will go with a larger car when the lease is up.
Exceptional Car
Car has performed flawlessly - I have averaged 48.1 mpg on combined city/hwy driving which surprised me as the car is only rated at 40 city / 43 hwy.
Economical: Yes!! Fast: No!!
This car was made to sip gas. It does that. It was not made to be fast. It is not fast. It is terribly underpowered. I like the hatchback for carrying things. Steering is numb. Car is relatively quiet except on hard acceleration where the underpowered engine groans.
