Love it!

Love this car! Very roomy for its class, even for my 6'3" husband! Back seat offers fancy options for adapting space and LOVE the safety package of lane departure warnings and assist, auto collision, and automatic cruise control detection.

Honda Reliability in Question.

Within the two-year ownership, my 2019 HRV has two recalls; a CVT software upgrade and a defective fuel pump. At 12,000 odometer miles, it has a leaking hose atop the engine block, and the air conditioning unit is blowing warm air. Buyers beware.

A lot of regret!!!

I bought the new 2019 Honda HR-V Sport AWD a couple months ago and I CAN NOT stand it! I feel like Fred Flintstone when trying to merge onto the highway it’s so slow, I mean slow to the point it's dangerous if you have a short merging ramp uphill. I can feel every single minute bump in the road through the seat, pedals, and steering wheel. The sport model doesn't have automatic headlights, glove box lights, nor lights in the cargo area so good luck finding anything at night. Oh and it needed a "software update" at only 5,000 miles to lessen engine vibrations! I thought the transmission was crapping out and to be honest I'm still not convinced it's ok. It shifts rough from reverse to drive and is runs loud in the cold. Basically, it's a crap car aside from getting great gas mileage (because it's so slow), it handles well in the snow, and it's visually better looking than a lot of its competitors in my opinion. Those pros don't outweigh the cons for me. For reference I've previously had a 98 Ford Contour, a similar aged Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, & a 05 Lexus RX. I had no complaints about any of those so a 2019 ANYTHING not being able to compete is unacceptable in my book. I absolutely regret this purchase.

Bought honda hrv 2019 a few weeks ago and already feel sorry I bought it! The engine has some knocking sound and a bit loud accompanying with a liitle vibration and the car jerks and breakes abraptly with a light press on the break pedal. Sorry honda this is my first and last honda I have ever bought I just wish for the amount I bought I bought something different such as Mazda or Toyota

I traded in my 2018 Civic Hatchback for the 2019 HRV Sport AWD... I love the car. I think I made a great choice and feel like I am back my old Toyota. Mixed with modern technology and old features I was able to adjust pretty quickly. The paddle shifters are better used for braking. Keeping the car clean and waxed will keep paint from fading. Gas MPG due to stop and go, city, or idle commuting, it’s just common physics. Today’s vehicles are made for longer commutes not 2mile 10min drives. So I get why the MPG is not adding up. I love the space and convenience of it all. It is perfect for a family of 5.
