LOVE this car nice transition from Vibe

I went from driving a 2003 ponitac vibe with 300,000+ miles on it and I would still be driving it if someone was paying attention and didn't slam into the backend. I absolutely LOVED my vibe and searched everywhere for another one, but ultimately decided to go for something newer that would last. Going from the Vibe to the Fit was a very easy transition it has a lot of the same features plus some added bonuses! The right blind spot camera on the right mirror is so helpful when switiching lanes and when I'm not sure if a car is close to me or not. The seats folding up are nice for taller objects ( something my vibe didn't do ) but I wish that they would fold Completely flat with a hard back just like my vibe. I will have to put down something over top of the seats when they are almost flat when I want to haul something.

The King of the economy crowd

The new Fit is so far ahead of the class that its the a the stereotypical Asian child in the classroom. Good driving dynamics, check, unbelievable packaging, check, refined drive, check powerful engine, check, check, check, check. This car is as good or much better in all parameters than any car in its category period. It irritates me to no end when the only criticism someone can level at a car is that they object to the styling, it goes a long way to establish the commenter's lack of intelligence. BTW, to my eye it looks pretty darned good. The EX without leather is the best deal, add a Garmin and go.

Love this compact car

So I love owning this little car. Its very reliable and since owning the cost of ownership has been oil changes and thats it. The battery died in me one time but that was mainly because i diddnt drive it for like a month. Some of these came with smaller batteries so getting it replaced for a larger one might be a good idea. If you drive regularly this wont be an issue at all. Sometimes the road noise can be a complaint but honestly its not to bad and the cabin has plenty of room. The storage in this car is amazing. I have hauled 60 inch tvs. 6-8 ft pieces of wood, all kinds of stuff. I play hockey and sometimes carpool. With the seats down we fit 2/3 bags in the back and the 3rd adult is comfortable. All in all its sporty and great on gas as well as fits in small parking spots. If you are in the market for a compact that is reliable no other car brand can stand up to this car or lineup.

32K and Counting - Good runabout car

I like the Fit for what it is - a solidly built lower end car that is a good value. My wife and I bought this as our first car, and really, our first big purchase together. Cons: 1. There were no recalls on my car, but it seems like the quality control for these were fairly poor in 2015, especially those made towards the beginning the vehicle release. 2. The paint was a little soft at first - fairly easy to scrape - but it has seemed more resistant to scrapes and such with time. 3. The A/C fan is pretty weak and the A/C is somewhat lacking in terms of coldness. Sometimes the fan has trouble kicking on in the afternoon when the car sits in a parking lot during the summer (95+ degrees). 4. The front bumper is held up by plastic ties that seem to like to corrode in FL. We've had a few of the ties snap already, which loosened the front bumper to make for a rattling noise. Easy cheap fix at the repair shop though... 5. Honda could've added some more leg room up front. The car is tough to take for road trips over an hour. It seems like they excessively accommodated the knee room of the back seat. A longer rail to slide the front seat back would've solved this problem - it's a design flaw. 6. The ride is loud on the highway. 7. Small fuel tank. Pros: 1. The car is zippier than reviews lead on. Good real-world acceleration and it doesn't feel like I'm straining the car at high speeds. 2. The car is very maneuverable and does have an element of fun in its handling. Taking corners is actually something I look forward to in this. 3. The car gets great mileage. I accelerate pretty quickly and drive a lot of city miles - currently averaging 36 mpg. 4. The sound system is nice on the EX version. 5. The car seems very solid and has a low maintenance cost thus far. 6. The extra features like a rear-view cam, sunroof, turn signal-cam, and front seat dashboard cup holder are all very useful, well-thought, and value adding. 7. The interior cloth seats are durable, don't pill, and are IMO, comfortable. 8. The cargo space is unparalleled for a subcompact. 9. The magic seats are useful. 10. The CVT is actually pretty smooth in acceleration and not very rubber-bandy. 11. Since the car is so small, it's easy to park and maneuver in traffic. Overall, I still think this was our best option for a sub $20k car. Sure the ride is a little rough and car has some quirks, but its an economy car. It's a fun car to drive (depending on what you are coming from), it's fairly comfortable, it's practical, it is generally reliable, and it has some cool extras for the money.

One of the best values in the market since the 2005 Scion tC. My wife and I enjoyed it and we attempted to get the most of every drop of gas (we leave it on Econ and were averaging 38 mpg). Tall men are fine in the back seats, and so are two cat crates and a tall item and luggage; we even fit a queen headboard in there! And the rear camera is perfect. (Note that we have the EX.) All these great features for under $20K after fees? Update: After four years, we have experienced at least a few recalls and more than once the electronic dash went on the fritz in cold weather. We didn't expect to bring into the repair shop that often. Still, it was a great value. Be aware that the MPG drops quite a bit in low temperatures, but I suspect that happens to all cars. My only major wish was that it was a hybrid or electric vehicle; as of late 2020, we sold it in place of an EV.
