Safety Recall of "early-2015" Honda Fit's announced August 21, 2014
The following hyperlink is to a Edmunds dot com article herein about the announcement on August 21, 2014 of a Safety Recall of "early-2015" Honda Fit's. http://www.edmunds.com/car-news/2015-honda-fit-modified-to-improve-crash-protection-win-safety-award.html In the near-term I suggest verifying the Vin # for effectivity and incorporation, if applicable of this Safety Recall prior to purchase. If you, like us, already own an early-2015 Honda Fit be on the lookout for official communication via hard-copy letter in September 2014. My full review of earlier impressions of the 2015 Honda Fit is posted elsewhere on this Edmunds dot com column. Really liked it prior to this alert.
I love my Fit!
I've wanted a Fit since they hit the US in 2006. I've been driving Accords for many years, and with this 3rd generation Fit redesign, I finally decided it was time to own my first Fit. I opted for the fully loaded EX-L w/Navi. I've had the car for two weeks now, and I do not regret my purchase one bit. I do not feel like I am in a small subcompact in this car. It handles really well on the highway, and city driving is the most fun! I have gotten above average returns on mileage with a mix of hwy/city. Honda got it right with the Fit in my opinion. If you remember Honda from the 70's-80's, the Fit reminds me of that era. Small, economical and a blast to drive. I love my Fit!

have a Fit
Great fuel economy , bumpy ride, air conditioning marginal, noisy car, lot's of room for storage, great safety items (side view camera, backup camera ) seats need more padding, ok for running around town. great head room getting in and out

best car i have ever had
the fit is durable, practical and fun to drive. we have a EX-L that is approaching 100k miles. no repairs have been required at all. just brakes, tires and oil changes. no rust at all in five years of salty sloppy roads in ontario. The cons are it is noisy at speeds over 120kph, and fuel economy is poor above that speed as well. The size of the car is about the same as a early 2000 civic and i love that about it. infotainment system is meh, but until apple car play came out they all did.
