Used 2015 Honda CR-V EX 4dr SUV AWD (2.4L 4cyl CVT) Consumer Reviews
Vibration and shuddering
Just picked up my new 2015 CRV EX AWD a couple of weeks ago. Noticed right away that when it warmed up and hit certain speeds, taking foot off gas and then lightly depressing the pedal and there was a shuddering like the car was in the wrong gear. Took to the dealer and service manager came for a test drive and told me that was normal! Crap! No other new vehicle I have had did this. I thought I was buying quality by buying Honda, wrong!
My new CR-V EX
I just brought my new Honda CR-V a few weeks ago. I own a 2006 honda pilot before with almost 160,000 miles and decided to get a new honda and wanted a small SUV this time because of the gas mileage. Overall I am very happy with my new CR-V. I am averaging 30 mpg 75 percent highway driving. I wanted the leather but the Crv EXL was almost 3000 dollars more than the EX so I am happy with the EX it's got everything I needed. I do notice a slight vibrations sometimes but it's not bothersome at all mostly at idle and some slight vibrations between 20 to 30 mph. It's not annoy at all. Overall it's rides very nice and very comfortable. My families tell me that it's rides very quiet.

the old crank model:
I have to jump start my honda 12-20 times per week. the dealer cant find the problem. Meinike says the computer needs to be updated, but he dealer refuses. rain or snow, extreme heat or cold, no matter how far I have driven, no matter what accessory I use or don't use, whether I drive highway or city, I can be seen jumpstarting my car, I invested in a jumpbox. The dealer is worthless, how do I sell a care dependent on a jumpbox

5 years enough, traded for a Mazda
First of all the vibration is real folks, there is now a tsb, out for it which greatly improves it at lower speeds , but it just seemed to move it to a higher speed. At 70 mph it's like sitting in a vibromatic chair and it really wears on you over a distance. It's a weird vibe because it doesn't change frequency, regardless of road speed or engine rpm, it's just there. Will be soon going back to dealer before warranty is out. We have gotten 36+ Mpg on trips and 24-28 around town with it so no real complaints there. Interior noise is 1000 x better than older crv's, we test drove some. It's my wife's vehicle and overall not bad, and she is happy with it, but being a former mechanic and tuned to notice small things in a car, the vibe does bug me especially with today's technology I think they could have done a better job on the drivetrain. UPDATE!! after 3 yrs of ownership, has developed a light rattle in rear suspension. Of course out of warranty now, waiting for it to get worse so it’s easier to find. The suspension has always been firm, I had hoped it would loosen up a little after putting some miles on, but to no avail. The ride quality really limits the distance you can comfortably drive before it starts to wear on you also. At exactly 37 months of ownership the battery just plain died no warning whatsoever, I jumped it and drove it to the dealership to see if I could get a new one under warranty, but they were of no help so I went to autozone to get a new one even though Honda had a better deal on one. WARNING as of about 6 mos ago the engine started making some serious noises at cold startup, like all the rods are ready to come out of the engine. Got on the internet and checked and apparently its the variable cam timing mechanism, another problem that this motor has had for a long time and Honda has done nothing about it. and apparently will do nothing about it. We plan on getting rid of it as soon as my truck is paid off and a new Honda will not even be considered, I am leaning way t words a Mazda right now. Ok Still have it just turned 50000 miles. Got rid of junk oe bridgestones and installed new continentals, made a 500% difference in rain and snow driving. Not much has changed motor still sounds like an old thrashing machine on start up, dealer says not a problem leave it go, or $600 to fix it. Have not changed my mind on the comfort off this vehicle , seats and ride are just to firm for any kind of distance driving. Transmission is starting to develop a strange shutter at lower speeds and adding gas to accelerate. I have also developed a dislike for the steering, it has a little too much feedback for traveling a lot more pressure is needed to center it in your lane than I think is needed which also wears on you during a trip, we will be trading it in this spring for something else. Now no longer own this vehicle, traded it for a Mazda CX-30. Though smaller, the driving dynamics of it are way better than the CRV it’s actually nice to drive!

will be looking for something else
Bought 2015 CR-V(EX) this past October. Now has about 7k miles on it. Have to admit I am disappointed. Feel scrunched in front seat. I'm 6ft tall. This car is made for those 5'8" or less. Had to tilt the back of seat back a little to create a little more room. The problem when you do this is you cannot fold down the back seat due to hitting the back of the front seat. The levers under the stearing wheel( lights and wipers) are not lit up. Can't see at night. The AWD system is my biggest complaint. The vehicle chooses when to place the vehicle in AWD. This was an issue when purchasing but like a fool I listened to the salesman. You never know when the car is in AWD. There is no indicator. The owners manual has one sentence about AWD. I want to know when I'm in AWD. I would think the driver knowing that could be kinda important. How do I know if there really is an AWD system? My driveway has a minor hill. Last fall with some freezing rain the front wheels spun barely making it up the hill. No help from the AWD. The car does have a very minor vibration when ideling at stop sign. Plus, when purchasing(October) I asked the salesman when the 2016's were coming out. He stated in the spring. Two weeks later there were 16's on the lot. Mileage is good. 33-36 on highway per computer.
