Used 2014 Honda CR-V EX-L 4dr SUV AWD (2.4L 4cyl 5A) Consumer Reviews
Faulty car from the start
Avoid this SUV, I thought I was getting a reliable Honda since I've been loyal to brand for many years. Honda has always been a good car never had problems with older Honda's but this SUV has been a headache from the start 5 years ago. It has a big hesitation problem that is very dangerous and has almost cause accidents multiple times. A faulty parking brake light on the dash that goes out, dealership never can fix it.Defected Rims that leak air which is not covered under warranty $300 for the rims happened multiple times once when I was on vacation very inconvenient. Brakes rumble making it very unsafe at times. High Oil consumption after 50,000 miles. Battery needing to replaced almost every year. All this is very inconvenient and unsafe for a manufacturer that is to be the best, I'm going with another brand this was my last Honda I will ever own very disappointing to once what was a great car company.

Great car
Bought to tow behind class "A" motorhome (2014 was last warranted year) and used to explore local areas while traveling. We lived in the motorhome for 5 years while we explored the U. S. and Canada. It was a great experience and the CR-V was a great part of that. Now over 140,000 miles with no major or unexpected maintenance needs. It is still a smooth quiet ride that will handle bad roads with ease.

Honda CRV after a Cadillac SRX
I owned a 05 Cadillac SRX for a few years, and repair and dependability cost demanded trade in. I brought a Honda CRV-LX and it has been a great car. I have not had one issue with the car so far. The dealership was wonderful and appears to be helpful. Oil changes, paint protection, warranty suppose. I will keep you posted on this car as the years go on. This winter the car has exceeded my expectations by millions, and has been dependable, with the exception of a battery problem during the winter (AAA battery) which I am sure if it had been by Honda it would have been still perfect. My CRV is pretty basic with not a lot of Tech equipment, all and all. I trade the Honda in a few months back, the car held its value, got more than what I paid for the car.

Best vehicle yet owned (I'm 61)
Dealer quality was a major factor here: this was 3rd Honda purchased new - all of which came with a "Platinum Package" providing free oil changes, state inspections and other great discounts. Have learned that package is no longer offered ( too good a deal). Maintenance costs of all Hondas I've owned has been very low, so far with this CRV its been the best. Love the car in all aspects except for some noises: rattles and jingling in the back and annoying plastic clattering noises in dash/windshield area. Dealer has not been able to find easily, and I'm not willing to tear the interior panels apart to find what it is. Other than noises, I have high hopes that the CRV will last to 150K miles or more.
