Just purchased new Civic LX 2 days ago. Really impressed with the build quality and overall value. Much better than 09 Corolla I traded. Hope to keep the car at least 10-15 years. Only potential issue is a vibration that starts at about 45-50+ mph (feels like a tire out of balance). Noticed it on 125 mile drive home from dealership. I was going to have it checked at the first oil change at the dealer, but now read someone else has had the same problem and a service bulletin has been issued. Other than that (hopefully) minor issue, I'm very pleased with Honda products.

I purchased this sleek Polished Metal Metallic Gray vehicle for my aged parents since the 2006 Accord EX sedan they initially bought was too large for their meager-sized garage. They are delighted with their new Civic EX Sedan. They describe the car as "zippy", the "perfect size 4-door inside and out" and "extremely attractive"! The cloth fabric is quite stylish, sporty and luxurious. The gorgeous Accord became mine and as much as they love it, they claim that it is "too much car" for their simplistic lives; yet, just right for mine. They literally scoot to church, shopping and back home. I wanted them to enjoy the standard sunroof of the loaded "EX" variant. They are thrilled and so am!

I bought a 2010 Honda Civic Sedan Auto LX-S in Atomic Blue on 4/24/10. It is a great car for the money. It is no race car, but has decent acceleration. Honda mainly had fuel economy in mind when designing this car. First tank averaged 32 MPG with combined city/highway driving. Handling is good even at higher speeds. Not much road noise noticed as mentioned in other reviews. The only thing I added after purchase was custom tint and front/rear splash guards. You can remedy all the suggested improvements listed below by going up to an EX, but I thought the rims were ugly and buying the LX-S saved me a few bucks. Incentives are good for Hondas right now as it is more of a buyers market.

Owned for 2 months. My first Honda. TMV for most cars I researched usually fall between sticker and invoice. At the time I purchased this car, the TMV was $450.00 under invoice. Dealer did not hesitate selling for TMV. Dealer actually voluntarily knocked off another $60.00 to make it an even $18,800. Afterward, I thought I should have tried to haggle an even lower price since the dealer didn't even bat an eye at the TMV. I think the looks of coupe is much better than the sedan. In my opinion, the EX model is well worth the cost over the LX. I like the exterior styling, very modern, should still be relevant for several years to come. I have not noticed the road noise everyone complains about

I recently bought a Civic EX sedan. I drive a lot and just traded in my '08 Altima. I miss the acceleration and the CVT on my Altima but I love the increased mileage and the look of my new car. I got a great price and love it.

Just bought the new 2010 Honda Civic dx-vp. Pretty happy with my choice. I had a Ford Focus before for 8 years and drove it into the ground and it was time to get a new car. I was always interested in the civics because it's an attractive car and has a great reputation. The look of the car is great both inside and out. I got a great deal also about $15,500 out the door. The only changes I would make to the Civic would that there be an arm rest, (which comes with the next model up) power door locks, and cup holders in the back seat. Other than that I'm really happy and it's been fun driving around town and on road trips.

I have about 3K miles on my car, and I love it. I recommend the upgrade to the EX-L, since most of my favorite features came with the upgrade. I saw no reason to spend $2k extra for navigation since you can get a good GPS for under $200 & you can always upgrade as the technology improves. I test drove the Kia Forte and Ford Focus. Both are also good cars, but the Civic felt more solid & I preferred its look. The expected resale value of the Civic sold me on the car and made it worthwhile to spend an extra $2K. The design is a little funky. It took me a few hundred miles to get used to the slanted windshield, almost non-existent hood, and interesting speedometer.

I absolutely love my Civic, this is my 4th Honda and it is wonderful just like the rest. The car handles wonderfully and the craftsmanship is top notch for this class. Could use a little more punch under the hood, but for 40 mpg freeway, I guess I'll compromise a bit on acceleration. All in all it is a wonderful car and based on this, the other Civic and 2 Accords I will keep on coming back to Honda.

Had the car for a few days now and I must say I love this thing. Got the basic LX with nothing added in. Got a great price. I love the way the instrument gauges are laid out. The A/C is cold enough and road noise is not bad, but then again, it is a fairly light car. The acceleration is not as good as some other cars but for a 1.8 L engine, its good enough. Besides, if you want good acc in a Civic, get the Si. This definitely is a great car. With a mix of horrible city traffic and highway. I got about 31-32 MPG for my first tank.

After being away from Honda for a few years, it is nice to be back. I had always thought the Civic sedan looked really cool, but didn't realize just how good of a design they actually have. Smooth ride, easy to drive. I don't notice the road noise lots of others talk about. The car feels very stable and well put together. For a smaller sedan there is quite a bit of room in the back--I don't remember the car being that big back when I had a 91 Civic in college. The dash and gauges are very modern and it looks like a little cockpit. I like the 2- level gauge set up. Huge trunk. Great gas mileage. Easy to park. It is hard to go wrong with one of these.

The Civic drives well, but the seats are horrible. Don't expect the backup lights to illuminate anything. The front of the vehicle is too low, don't even think about getting close to a curb. Mileage isn't bad, but not as good as my previous Corolla.

Also have a 2006 civic ex bought used three years ago. Happy with it so just traded our other car for a new 2010 ex. Now we have to civics, on the new models they did away with the sound pads in the engine and trunk so now you see bare metal. In 4 years the two cars are almost identical, the new one has a usb connector on the radio and new steering wheel, otherwise can't tell them apart. Also if you have a brand new one make sure you check closely specially on the roof for paint defects that you can see through the clear coat (Google it) my 06 also had them and now they look like sore spots. Took it back to the dealer body shop so that there will be a record for future claims.

Wanted better gas mileage as I drive 50 miles total every day. I traded in my Accord (4cy)for the Civic - so far so good. The Civic is more fun to drive than the Accord and I actually like the simplicity of the interior. The ride is OK, not as comfortable as the Accord yet I find myself enjoying it more.

I love the Civic LX. I gave it an 8 on economy but it's probably closer to a 7. I'm getting 29-30 with 50/50 driving thats a bit lower than I anticipated based on what several salespeople and the sticker claimed. They claimed it was better on fuel economy than the Fit which didn't seem likely but it tipped the scales toward the Civic. I would have probably bought the Civic anyway for better comfort but Fit owners have told me that they were getting in the 35 mpg range. I'm not sure that wasn't some sort of marketing ploy to bump up the sale. If you're choosing between those two look extra closely.

First import I've ever owned. Like the attention to detail. Awesome sound system, although a 6 cd radio would've been nicer. Impressive acceleration, car just wants to go,go, go! Probably why my mileage is a little less than what I expected. Overall, very happy with the car.

Just bought a 10' Civic LX and love it so far. Previous car was a Nissan Sentra which was a nice little car but not close to this Civic. Test drove the Chevy Cruze and Malibu, Ford Fiesta and Fusion, Nissan Sentra and Altima but the only car that was even close was the Cruze which was $2000 more than I got the Civic for. Civic has tons more room in the back seat than my previous Sentra or new Cruze which my kids noticed immediately. Not noticing the loud engine at all talked about in previous reviews. Pretty slow off the line but I didn't buy the car for speed. The Cruze definitely had a more stylish interior and features (bluetooth) and much "cooler" dashboard.

I've been driving my civic for 7 months now. I love it! The engine has a lot of pickup and speed. I deal with heavy stop/go traffic on my daily commute and I am impressed with how responsive the brakes are. Gas mileage-excellent! I drive about 150 mi a week and fill up about every other week or so. As others have said, in the driver's seat, the hood slopes so you cannot see it..Even still, I've never had an issue parallel parking after the first few weeks of driving it. Only issue I've had is cold starts. The engine hesitates and will take a couple of tries...However, I learned starting the engine in position 2 seems to do the trick so no further issues. I'm very happy with my purchase!

Love the speed hub, sun roof, mileage. Zippy little car for a 1.8. Kind of hard to see when on curves due to blind spots of front window frames. Firm ride, but a bit of road noise inside. Not luxurious, but serviceable. Next time I think we'll get the CR-V to contend with winter driving conditions. We have yet to drive this in snow, but I feel better sitting up higher in a CR-V and having 4-wheel drive.

I bought the car with 25 miles on it, I now have 400. Recently I noticed that the engine is starting to get noisy. It was silent in the beginning. When I decelerate I can feel the down shifting. Accelerating is not a problem. I've just used one tank of gas so far, so I'm still seeing what the MPG are like. I like the design, but I cannot see the front so I'm still figuring out how far I have before I hit something.

I bought a '10 Civic---in a hurry I might add. I test drove a new Accord but did not buy it due to cost. Went with Civic blindly. I've owned 2 before so I figured "how can I go wrong?". Well, it rides fine, looks good from the outside, and has a bunch of storage spots up front. The stereo is great for a stock system. Other than that, I can't really say this is the Honda I thought it would be. The cabin is tight--watch out if you are 6ft or over. The roofline slants at such an angle that I hit my head if not careful. Also, there are no cupholders in the back...ZERO. Not sure how the designers got away with missing that simple feature.

The 2010 Honda Civic DX model with manual 5 speed and DOHC engine is fun to drive. This is the cheaper version of the Civic Si. My previous car was a 2001 Ford Mustang, and this Civic gets much better gas mileage. In my opinion, the Civic coupe is stylish, but this car is far from perfect. I've had suspension problems with this car from day one. I've been to a couple of different Honda dealers in Dallas, and I got jacked around every time I went there. The clutch feels a little rough sometimes, an honest work-out helps. Honda OE shocks, struts, and springs are low quality; lots of squeaks and rattles This car has potential, but I am really disappointed with Honda customer service.

From interior it doesnt look like a 2010 car!! We regret to have chosen this car over Toyota! It lacks interior comfort when 1. you dont see a cofee cup holder for any passenger sitting at back. What you expect to do with a water bottle or a coffe mug?? hold in your hand all the time? Just ridiculous. 2. Selling car in Saskatoon where cold temp falls to -40 you dont see a 2010 car (Honda) a temperature gauge! How cheap!! Even a Toyota Corola 1998 has a digital temperature guage!! I say it is unbelievalbly cheap not to have temp guage in Honda (2010) selling in Canada!! 3. There are two cup holder in but you cant use cup holders if you slide the tray out!! Bad design.

The biggest complaint I have about this car is that I spent extra money for the leather and it has not been very durable. I have several rips- and a big one in the drivers arm rest. I take VERY good care of my car- oil changes, all scheduled maintenance ect. Now that I have 115,000 miles, I notice some loss of power and hard shifting. I also recently had to replace a motor mount ($400!) I seem to go through brakes quickly. On the positive side, with some snow tires it does well in the snow and I am overall very happy with this being a daily driver. It also handles very well on the turnpike and gets decent MPG. 10/31/17 - update. Nothing major to report. We have demoted the civic to our back up car and in the past year we have driven it less than 5,000 miles.. I do typically like the maintenance minder, however with no maintenance schedule to follow, it's difficult to know what I should preform, as my oil is only at 50% after 11 months. The guide calls for a yearly oil change- but what about everything else? Will I never need a transmission flush? Or spark plugs? In the past year I also had my car repainted under the extended warranty.

I have now driven 4000 miles in my Honda Dx Vp. I love the car! The only problem which I can report is that if I raise the driver's side seat too high, a portion of the digital speedometer is cut off, and I can't see the readout without craning my neck. Otherwise, the car glides down the road, I am getting about 25mpg around town, and after taking a 165 mile trip down the interstate, my gas mileage was 40.1 mpg--yep, 40.1 mpg! I have read reviews complaining of road noise on the interstate--I am either deaf, or my little civic is immune to that problem. The car handles well, accelerates reasonably well for a 140 hp engine, corners well, idles well. I am very happy with this car.

This is my first Honda, and frankly, I was expecting more. The ride is very noisy, and the suspension system on the car is disappointing. I'm not sure if I just got a new car with lousy shocks and struts, but you feel every imperfection in the road. I would like others feedback on this. So far the fuel economy on the car is ok, but nothing to rave about. I have only owned the car for a few days, but already miss my trade in. In short, based on Honda's reputation I thought i was getting better.

I no longer own this car. I sold it one month after buying it. Road noise is horrible. The LX version lacks some features standard for a car in this price range like a pop trunk on the remote control. The biggest problem was this car had the worst air conditioning I have ever seen. When you have it on fresh air it blows warmer than normal and when the a/c is on the compressor cycles on and off constantly I guess to save gas and never really get super cold. At a stop sign it really is not cold. I took it to two dealers and they said that is just the way Hondas have it set up. I became fed up with the car in general and it is now gone. Also has a really goofy dash that I could not get used to.

I bought this car brand new as my Christmas present, but within 1,000 miles I started to notice noises coming from the driver's side front suspension. In the beginning the sound was intermittent and the first time I took it back to the dealer, they said they couldn't replicate the problem. The second time I brought it in, the service manger went on a test drive with me and heard the noise himself. When I went to pick up the car, they told me that they didn't find anything wrong with it. To make a long story short, I brought the car back at least 4 times and they replaced the strut at least twice, however, the problem still remains.
