Honda, not that great
Sun visors separate, they replaced under warranty but said one time deal . Honda will not admit there is a problem. Motor mount had to be replaced, cost over $600. Never owned a car that had a motor mount go bad. Contacted Honda USA, they didn't really care. Did nothing. After owning 2006 and then 2010 Honda, I now own a Hyundai.

fun economical car
this is my wifes car , i drive a crv. it is a sporty coupe with good handling , not as good as an si i had and not as much power, but it zips along pretty good and returns about 30 mpg around town. prior civic have given us over 40 mpg on the highway. got a black one and put a nice oval exhaust tip and some aftermarket letters ( ex ) just to make it personal. looks great, looks like a sports car and yet it is econmoical. it is well made, the engine is sewing machine smooth and as with all civics reliable. i do steal it from my wife to go out and have fun driving thru some country roads.
Runs Great
This little car was really a steal for $3k cash used. Unfortunately, the check engine light was on, and the front bumper was a little loose but attached. The passenger window rolled down but then during the test drive got stuck halfway up. The dealer actually was able to successfully get the window back up to normal position. Even with all the issues up front, it was a $3k car so I bought it outright with cash. The windshield had a crack spanning from the bottom to the top and completely centered and definitely had to be replaced for an inspection. I got a flat tire shortly after I got the car and had to replace 3 out of 4 tires because they were horrible and bald. Immediately after I drove it off the lot, I got the oil changed because I had no clue what had or had not been maintained on the car. So the check engine light is still on throwing two errors. P0498 Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Vent Shut Valve Control Circuit Low Voltage P0135 Primary Heated Oxygen Sensor (Primary HO2S) (Sensor 1) Heater Circuit Malfunction... I have checked and researched and this could be five different solutions for either of the errors. So I've replaced the windshield and got it all fixed except the cel and I'm worried about how much I'm going to have to put into this cheap car to get my tags next month. Since I read all Honda models from 2006-2011 have this cel issue or issues, I am really baffled that Honda hasn't come out and said, " hey guys, we gave you less quality parts" or whatever the real deal is and issued a recall because this seems to be an issue with at least 85% of vehicles the produced during 06-11. So wish me luck on my quest to turn off this cel. Also my TPMS light never, ever goes off and my tires stay well maintained because I travel twice a week to a big city 2 hours away from me to work a second job.

One of the best all round cars Ive owned
This was our family car since new in 2010. Its at about 280k and only last week did we have our first check engine light (EVAP line, nothing serious). Im blown away with how reliable this car has been. The engine particularly given how much abuse Ive put it through! It corners well, albeit with plenty of body roll, responsive throttle, solid braking. It bites and corners in snow better than any other fwd car ive driven, and with a bit of ebrake, you can have fun through the corners! Its a basic car, no toys really and pretty boring inside. When you want to have fun, youre not thinking about that, but when youre just cruising home, its a little bland. The only issie ive had with the car (and the 2006 civic I also have) is that it chews through brakes like nothing else. They fitted pads and rotors not suited for the car, so end up chaging by brakes every two years at least. A/M pads help, but still burns them out faster than I would like.

It's a sunny car for 3months
This vehicle is not a 4 season car. The winters in Mi. can be harsh with strong winds and temps below the teens. How many times over a 5 year ownership the engine never heated up to warm the cabin and maintain proper engine temperature. That always bugged me. Take away that phase and it was a fairly decent vehicle. It was also noisy with little or no insulation in the floor. Engine and transmission were rock solid and performed flawlessly. It'd be a nice little vehicle for Calif. or Florida but it's not very good for the winter months in the midwest.

honda 2010 civic dx-vp
I bought this car used 1 week ago. 25,000 miles. I love it. It does not have any noise as mentioned in other review. As a matter of fact, my fiancé said it is so quiet. It does not ride rough - smooth ride. Air conditioning is great - I keep on low and I am always hot. Great car. I would recommend to anyone.
excellent, reliable car
I have had this car for over 1 year now, and am very satisfied. It is comfortable, fun to drive, and gets excellent gas mileage (about 38 mpg highway). I have had no problems with it. Wouldn't mind power seats, but wouldn't expect that at this price range. I also looked at the VW Golf, Mazda 3, and Impreza. I thought this car handled better than all but the Golf, and in the Golf the seats were too narrow. UPDATE: So I have had this car almost 15 years now and no major problems. About 105k miles. I love the handling and the smooth braking which really helps in navigating aggressive highway driving. Starting to lose some paint on the top surfaces of the car but I chalk this up to NYC air pollution.

Extremely Pleased
Traded in a 2003 VW Passat GLX, and couldn't be happier. Feel the LX-S is best combination of features and price in the Civic line up. First tank of gas in mixed driving got me 32 mpg. Fit and finish is excellent, as expected, and while some complain about the plastic interior, what do you expect for a car that can be had for less than $19,000? I rate the performance as a 10, because for a car like this, the overall performance is excellent. It's a Civic, not a Bugatti Veyron. If you want high performance, buy a performance car. If you want quality, economy and value, buy a Civic.
I Love My Honda Civic
I just purchased my Honda Civic and love it. I give it an excellent all the way around. I feel like the car is built for dependability and find it a joy to drive. I have no negative comments about the car. All I keep saying is I Love Driving My Honda and I am glad I made the decision to purchase it. I would recommend a Honda Civic (or any other model Honda) to anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle.
