Too many problems, Too soon
So I originally I was exclusive to the Toyota brand having owned a Toyota Matrix, and Two Camrys but always admired the Accord from the sidelines as the sportier, spunkier, competition. Last yeast I decided to take the plunge and trade in my 2016 Toyota Camry for the 2018 Honda Accord Touring edition a nice stop gap to a luxury car. Initially I was blown away by this car. It had just the right amount of style, speed, tech and features to make a former sleepy Camry owner happy. When I first purchased to car about a week in I noticed something cosmetically wrong with it, cant quite remember what it was but the dealer fixed no problem. About 6 months in, In February 2019 I started getting dashboard messages about the Smart entry system and the Adaptive Cruise control (ACC) system. I took it to Honda and they kept it for a few day and, "Fixed it". Another 4 months passed and the (ACC) started acting up again. While driving it would let me know the (ACC) failed and would stop working until I restarted the car. I took it back in and there was recall for it and it was, "Fixed". Then In November of this year 2019, All the lights came back on from February it sat in the shop for two week without a real diagnosis. Couple that with the fact that the Door trim was coming off the driver door and the AC at times would make a load cranking noise when hot I decided to give up and get a Lexus a true luxury car. So far I'm happy with my decision. I am back with the brand that always offered my reliability. Still I'm going to knock on wood lol because I know any car can have problem. Just wish my dream car didn't turn unto a nightmare.
Don't just test drive one, Buy One..
I have owned most makes of cars. I have bought about forty ,(40) New cars in my life. This is my passion, the smell, the feel, the joy a new car can bring is priceless to me. I have owned, 3/ BMW 3s,1/ Jaguar X ,2/ Acura's TL & TSX ,2/ Infinities-I35s, 4/ VW Passat w/modifications, 4/Kia Optima SX &SXLs 2.0Ts, and an assortment of Toyotas, Nissans, Mazdas , Hyundais and Hondas. On Nov. 29 2017, after extensive research I bought a 2018 Honda Accord Touring 1.5, white/white. This is the first car of all I have bought that has every technical feature I have ever wanted. IT rides with a certain alacrity, It stays flat in corners, the seats actually hold me in place without sliding . There is no bounciness over undulations on the road, and the steering is as precise as my BMW 328 ci. The 1.5 turbo has the requisite amount of power for my at my current age and skill level and with the body colored rear spoiler I had the dealer install ,(it has a black strip on top of the white), it is quite attractive. I went to the local Kia dealer to pick up my wife while her 2017 Kia Sorento was being serviced, and every available sales person and manager went out to look at it, and wanted talk to me about it. That has never happened to me with any other car I have owned. In closing you can chastise, promote ,ridicule, or prefer whatever car you want, but until you Buy It, Own It, Drive It, you really don't know...Do You.

Better than an Altima
The way this whole car is thought out is amazing. Voice commands work great, navigation is just as good as apple maps, the car play is fantastic, and great for tall people. If your 6’2”, you’ll have no problem fitting passengers and your self in this car. Each fob is numbered so before you get in the car it will adjust to the seat memory. Excellent quality and technology.

Garbage quality and limited concern from Honda USA
2018 Accord Touring. Bought this great looking, comfortable, feature rich car from Honda in February. First week I had it I found a small (about 1/2 inch) paint defect. The dealer took care of getting that spot repainted, and I thought I was all set. Then the following week I found a larger (roughly 2 inch) paint defect on the roof of the car ina splatter pattern. So I took it in and the dealer took it back to look at it. When I got the car back they said it didn’t look like a paint defect to them and that I’d need to file a claim with gameron (extra paint protection layer I purchased from them), and on top of that there’s now a small dent in my new car (3 weeks old). I had to escalate to the dealer’s service manger, but they did fix the dent. So while I’m waiting several weeks for Honda to approve the repaint of my roof, my wireless charging pad for my phone now works intermittently, my backup camera died (and started working again after about a week, the weather strip over the passenger’s rear door becomes detached from the door, and my frustration is peaked when the case handler tells me Honda will keep servicing the car, but that’s all they will do. So I got the car back from the dealer yesterday with the repairs completed. Today I’m driving and I get a warning light that the tire pressure gauge has failed, and now I have this horrible and loud scraping sound coming from the front tire which was replaced due to a nail in it, and the car has only 6500 miles. Buyer beware!!! I’ve owned Honda cars for over 30 years. If Honda wants to keep my loyalty they really need to get me in a car that I can drive without so many things breaking on it. I will not go quietly away and feel others should know. In all fairness the dealer has been good to work with, but I seriously question what has happened to Honda quality.

Love my new red Accord! Update** NOT LOVED NOW
Update**: Shortly after writing this glowing review I started having problems with my new Accord. It ended up spending a total of 34 days in the shop for covered repairs. I had a rodent chew some wires not long after I had it. It was towed to the shop and the dealership repaired it. They said I was lucky that minimum damage had been done. I paid $600 as this was not covered under warranty. A few weeks later my car looses all power and all warning lights come on. I get it back to the dealership. They say the wiring is fine but the catalytic converter is bad. Not related to wiring so It is replaced under warranty. This happens again a few weeks later as I'm driving down the interstate! Again, the same thing is diagnosed- catalytic converter and also the computer. They keep the car longer this time. When I pick it up the mechanic is confident the computer was the problem. They had test drove it for a while and all was good. I was relieved because the dealership had no loaner cars and I had been borrowing vehicles to drive from family. 3 weeks after picking up the car it happens again. All warning lights come on and total loss of power. I take it back to the dealership and they are at a loss on what to do. At this point I'm feeling unsafe with the car. I write a letter to Honda requesting they buy back the car. I get a case manager "Adrian" and a date for an arbitration hearing. I had to send in all service records and I sent in everything. After spending 3 weeks in the shop, I get the car back. It seems to be driving fine, but I'm getting "collision mitigation error" messages. I document it and send it to the arbitrator. I also have yet another repair done to attempt to fix the "collision mitigation" problem. I have the hearing a few days after getting the car back from the shop. My case was denied and the argument from Honda was all problems were caused by the wire being chewed from the rodent and all repairs done under warranty were "courtesy to the customer". I am very disappointed in Honda. I loved my new Honda, now I'm stuck with a lemon. After much research I knew I wanted either a compact suv or sedan. I test drove the Rogue and CRV. They were nice but did not give me a feeling of excitement. I test drove the Accord not expecting to like the low seating position but to my surprise I loved it! For a 1.5 turbo it has great acceleration and feels very classy. The doors have a solid quality sound when you close them. I have received many compliments on this car. I have only put 600 miles on it but have no complaints. Averaging 33.8 on the gas mileage. Overall very happy and would recommend.
