Great Ride but Rear Brakes a Problem
Over the past 15 years our family has owned 7 Honda Accords. They have all held up well with "routine" maintenance being the primary cost of repair. My 2008 Honda Accord EX is a pleasure to drive. Certainly a lot bigger than my 2004 but still a nice & sporty driving experience. The exterior styling was a winner for me. Overall comfort for me is above average (but I think I have the right body type). Only failing so far is the Rear Brake pads prematurely wearing at 22,000. Did not expect it!! So I got them replaced and called Honda to file a compliant. That's why my reliability rating is lower.
Accord Review
I have 55k on my accord as of June 2010. Rear brakes went out at 45k miles. Thank Goodness the powertrain is 60k miles, because both front brake calibers went out. $1100, but under warranty. The car is great on gas and dependable, but is noisy on the road, and the dealer said the calibers will probably go out again. I like my car, but don't love it. I'll probably be trading it in after 2 1/2 years. I would consider another vehicle.

3 week review!!!
I've had the car for three weeks now and in mixed driving I'm averaging 25 mpg. Overall I like the car and don't regret buying it. It's reasonable comfortable and very roomy. The engine is a little harsh sounding. I feel a lot of vibration on the steering wheel when I'm on the highway. The stereo is typical Honda which isn't saying much. The dash is nice but the plastics seem on the cheap side. No outside temp gauge, my fathers toyota corolla has that. One thing I really like about this car is the bodystyle. I really think Honda hit a homerun with it, very classy but sporty at the same time.
1st Honda.
sound system below average, noisy brakes, vibration noise from dash and rear speaker deck, 20 MPG in city, 27 MPG highway, driver door handle sticks, good engine and transmission, great a/c. disappointed in the build quality and fit & finish.
Honda Slips
This is my 5th Honda, and sad to say, I like it the least. Is it the only sedan in its price range with no outside temp or mpg display? I was shocked to learn, after purchase, that my new 08 was not as safe as my 04, the 08 only having 3 stars in the rear crash test. The engine is responsive and quick, handling good, design the best Honda ever, but I don't like the thumping noise I hear every time I hit the brakes. Honda says it's normal, I say it's annoying. I am looking for a different car--Legacy? Taurus? Malibu?
