no more honda
Not as good as was the 2000 Accord. After 9,000 miles noise in the engine. Keyless entry not working. Don't like Honda no more no more no more
Disappointed
I was very disappointed when I purchased the new 2008 Accord after owning a 97 Honda Accord LX for 10 years (purchased new) with very few problems. I currently have about 3700 miles on my new car and have had numerous problems with it. The transmission whines in low gears, the headlights flicker while driving, the visor lights do not work, and gas mileage is on average about 25 (all my driving is on the highway). I cannot describe how disappointed I am with this new car. When taken to the dealer for service, they tell me most of the problems are normal. Normal? What happened to Honda quality? I should have purchased the Toyota Camry SE.

Beware of Brake Problems!!!
Purchased the vehicle new and within 2 months I had to replace the front & back rotors and pads. Since then I have had to replace the rear pads every 25K miles.
8K review
Bought my Accord back in May of 2008. So far I get 28-29 MPG in mixed driving. The interior quality is OK, my 1999 Accord EX had a better comfort level on the seats. The dashboard is very well lit, but the stereo system is horrible, it seems to have too much bass when set at zero. Road noise is also bad, my Accord does not have a noise damper on the hood like my old Accord had. Whenever the car is cold, the brakes always make noise, after it has warmed up, it goes away. For some reason, when I use the windshield defroster, I hear the Air conditioner motor on (Don't think that's normal at all). As with other threads I've read, yes, the Accord should come with a semi auto and projector lights.
Broken Climate Control at the 10th day
I bought a new 08 Accord LX-P on 10/20/2007. I've been buying Toyota for the last 20 years and was excited about switching to Honda. Weather turned cold this week, so I turned on the heater in the car Monday morning. The heater shut itself off after running for a minute. It stayed shut off for about 20 minutes and came up running again on Monday morning. Tuesday morning there was no heat and the fan was not running for the entire day morning. When I took the car to the dealer for service, the heater worked again. It seems like the heater and fan only work when the outdoor temperature is warn. I will not buy a 1st model year car again.
