Best Car I've ever driven
When I made the decision to buy a compact luxury car, I cam to this edmunds.com to check the rankings as I always do prior to purchasing. To my surprise I saw a Genesis GV70 as the best in this class on here. I wasnt sure how a car like that beats out the GLC, Q5, NX, X3 and RDX for that spot. My curiosity led me to test drive all of these cars. Over a period of 1 month I drove all of these starting with the GV70 and back to the GV70. When I test drove it the second time I knew immediately that I wasnt going back to any other car. It just had the right combination of sporty, elegance, looks and luxury that I wanted. It did everything right. Then came the purchasing experience. I went online to build it and the price at build was the same when the car was delivered after 6 months. I had the best dealership experience ever. No hustling, no markups, everything was super transparent and they threw in a tone of accessories for free. I have owned this car since September 2022 and I just love it so much. I recently flirted with the new GLC but after watching the edmunds.com comparison video I decided to stick to my G70. Love it!!

Best car I ever owned
Fabulous car. I got the 2.5 advanced. The 300 hp is plenty enough power for me. Peppy and handles great. For more spirited driving just use the sport driving mode but it will get a little less mpg. I generally just use the eco drive mode. Economy is still plenty of power and have been getting around 27 mpg during my normal driving of half city and half highway. Purrs along freeways at 70 mph like it is hardly working at all. Surround view monitors are excellent. Fit and finish of the car are top notch. Auto opening tailgate works great, just stand at the back tailgate with the keys in your purse or pocket and presto, she beeps 3 times and opens right up for you. I would recommend getting at least the advanced trim level which gets you a panoramic sunroof, heated steering wheel, aluminum trim with spin brush pattern, leather seating, blind spot view monitor, surround view monitor, parking distance warning both forward and reverse (beeps as you approach an object, becomes solid beep when very close), reverse parking collision avoidance, rear occupant alert, and wave line backlit trim (very nice glowing light around the trim that looks really good at night). Blind spot view monitor is fantastic, it displays a camera view of your blind spot right on your dash when you touch your turn signal. Automated cruise control with distance control when used with lane centering turned on and the car almost drives itself. Another neat feature is the haptic steering wheel warning (steering wheel will vibrate if someone drives behind you backing out of a parking space). It may also work if you get to close to a car or changing lanes, but I don't want to test that feature out. Everyone compliments the looks of the car and asks questions about it. Neighbors asked me to take them on a test drive. I finally decided to indulge myself with a gorgeous car and I am glad that I did.

Overly Complicated
Great looks, great ride, and great performance but you need to be a computer whiz or engineer to make almost everything on the infotainment system to work. The owners manual is too dense. A simpler version--Genesis GV 70 for Dummies. My only serious complaint is the map at night. The screen turns black and doesn't show street or road names. At dusk, the screen turns darker but roads and streets are identified. Whoever designed the map system should try using it at night.

The first Genesis
The Genesis is beyond expectations. The handling is superb along with the quickness….Overall it is well beyond my imagination…
2 NEW 2025 GV70, IN LESS THAN A YEAR AND STILL....
I purchased a 2025 GV70 in june 2024. From the beginning I had all king a tramission error messages. I called Genesis Customer service many times. The customer service was really bad. I wrote letter to the CEO and othe upper managment people at Genesis USA. Finally Iwas able with help from my dealer to trade in the old car with 1640 miles driven for a new 2025 GV in January. I thought my problems will be over. Well, that was a wrong thought. Now the car has about 200 miles and I cannot get the connected services to work. Again I keep calling OR WRITE customer service daily. I wrote again to the CEO etc but I cannot use the navigation. The frustration that I experience is absolutelty terrible. The excuse now it that "engineering is working on it". In 7 months I had 2 BRAD NEW GV70 AND EACH HAD IT'S PROBLEMS.
