watch out for service techs with claws
The car look great but runs terrible. Had the front diff actuator replaced and with that replacement the front end makes a terrible noise. The dealers can not hear the noise but all my friends who are in the car always comment about what's that noise. Contacted Genesis corporate with a case number and had little help. I have purchased 3 genesis in the past years, but will never purchase a car from them again. We call it the covid car because it was made during those years. Never again with they see my money.
Great value and Excellent dealer service
We purchased the 2023 2.5t Sport Prestige and enjoy driving the car any chance we can. It's a solid and comfortable ride with plenty of power to climb a mountain at any speed you want. Our only issue was trying to get aftermarket wheels (winter wheel and tire package) and TPMS to sync up. Although not the fault of the dealer, we appreciated their full treatment to help diagnose the issue at no cost. They gave us a loaner vehicle and washed the car for an issue created by an aftermarket wheel package. We were impressed and still very impressed with the car and the value received. Also like that that we don't see the same car everywhere we go. It's an undiscovered gem.

Horrible Horrible Choice of a Brand
I made a horrible mistake, that so far cost me $60,000 so highly advertised , for almost 1 year… and I am already hating it very badly. Not so much the car itself, but the computer / navigating / driver assist systems. But specially I hate the way THEY ( customer service / service department ) treat their customers. I am already almost a month into having problems with computer functionality of my car, and the next appointment to bring the car in for fixes is mid August. The next available loaner is mid-October. I was also told by them that they will send me an email with Do-It-Yourself instructions. No one replies to the voicemail messages I left for them, not in the corporate office not in a local service department. What is it ??? Such a crapy car that they spend all the time fixing it ? I will probably get involved with a Lemon law process !!! DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND !!!

Six stars!
Had my GV70 for about 3 months now. I'm 72 and have had several new cars in my life. This may very well be the best. Love everything about it. Not the first issue. Got rid of a Subaru Ascent when I purchased my Genesis & I'd be on my second or third recall by now with the Subaru. Not accustomed to paying full sticker, but I think it was actually worth it. Highly recommend this vehicle.

Gorgeous, but awful low-speed driving dynamics.
The GV70 is a beautiful vehicle, inside and out, no doubt about it. It's comfortable, quiet and feels substantial. But, and this is a big but, the low-speed driving dynamics are terrible. The start/stop system is one of the worst I've ever experienced. When stopping, the engine turns off with a shudder and then when you're ready to go, it starts with a shudder. It feels very unrefined. It can be switched off, but then you lose the benefit of saving fuel. Also, coming to a stop from a low speed also causes some hesitation and choppiness in the brake pedal. It's not easy to come to a smooth stop. Although the interior is beautiful and the seats are comfortable, the drivers side armrest was uncomfortable for me. There's a part of the armrest where the soft touch material joins the harder plastic, and that point pressed into my arm. Lastly, the rotating gear shift knob and the controller for the infotainment system are very close to each other on the center armrest, causing the driver to look down to ensure that the correct knob is being turned. I really don't understand all the rave reviews for this car. It is beautiful to look at, but it has some serious shortcomings that are not befitting a $55K vehicle.
