Totally Unexpected!

I would never have even thought to look at a Taurus. I HATED them!...That is based on my recollection of those older junk ones of yester-year. Nevertheless, my other two cars broke down, and I rented one for six weeks. I was totally surprised. I loved it! Then Hertz took away my Taurus, and I immediately felt the loss. I had no choice but to go straight to the dealer down the street and buy one. I got mine 3/13, and what a dream of a car! Already have 8,000 miles on it. It's just like the top reviews say. It's super quiet, super comfortable, has the best interior dash and seat design I've seen in years, and gets AMAZING gas mileage. I drove round-trip Berkeley to Big Sur, 31 MPG!!

Car looks good and has power but the fuel pump and water pump both went out before 70K. Fuel pump repair was $500 and water pump repair is $1,500 +. Water pump part is only $200 but it's inside behind the timing chain and chain has to be removed in order to work on fuel pump? The absolutely most ridiculous set up. My car is a 2013 and it's May 2016 and I've had to put too much money into this car. Sad car for Ford, people told me not to buy it. Wish I would have listened.

The car that keeps on going!

I bought this car 2.5 years ago for just under 10k with 99k miles. It now has 223k and has never left me stranded or empty out my wallet. The only major maintenance item was a water pump which is the only flaw so far as the mechanic had to almost pull the engine to get to. I've driven older Taurus cars and they almost had headgasket or transmission issues. Ford really stepped up their build quality with this era. Ofcourse I've had to do regular maintenance items but I've always been able to them myself. This car technology, comfort and reliability have me resold on Ford's. Iam going to see just how far this car will go before I trade it in.MPG is around 32 on highway and 19 in town

So easy to drive longer trips not a bit tired at arrival. Very smooth. Rear window is kinda difficult for viewing because of its slant only thing i would modify if Henry would ask.

Great vehicle, had a SEL 201A NAV for about 7 months. Traded for another 2013 SEL this time with 202A NAV/Moonroof/Leather/Spoiler during a end of June Sale. Total fluke that this new one was the same color as the 201A but price was price and I probably would have jumped on that markdown whatever the color was. V6 is plenty powerful in the mountains, and PA turnpike. Leather is soft, and supple and heated for winter. Girlfriend has back problems and she occasionally uses the heated seats as a heating pad...... UPDATE....July 2016. Traded vehicle at just over 36K miles for 2014 SHO dealer demo at 6K....current SHO mileage 21K. Vehicle fine but NAV database weak for Texas area....does not show new facilities even though common commercial facilities. High trunk line, I highly recommend the 202A package with back up camera...other parts of the package make it worth it such as keyless start/adjustable pedals/ambient lighting/ SYNC
