Best Truck in it's class way better than Tacoma
Ranger blows away the Tacoma and the GM twins. Ford's safety and technology is unmatched. Plenty of power and the truck is solid. Tight turning radius and the off road tech is fantastic. Toyota Tacoma's are nice but I traded my SR5 4x4 For the Ranger. Ranger is a way nicer truck than the Tacoma. Sure the MSRP on the ranger is high but no one pays MSRP. MY new Ranger MSRP was 41,000 Picked it up for 31,000. Cheaper than what I paid for the Tacoma. The GM twins suck on off road and comfort and gas mileage. GM is unreliable at best. The Ranger is mostly American parts. U.S. Steel ,Frame, American Axle and drive shaft, Engine made in Cleveland, Ohio. Transmission parts from Sharonville, Ohio and transmission built in Livona Michigan and assembled in Michigan.Body panels are manufactured by AK steel and stamping plant in detroit. A tough truck built in the USA. After one year of ownership zero problems or issues. Gas mileage has actually improved and it is the best truck I have ever owned!

Traded in Toyo-Taco for Ranger Lariat
Traded in my Toyota Tacoma (48K miles) for a 2019 Ranger Lariat and so far, I have no buyer's remorse or do I miss the Toyo-Taco. Ride quality and comfort is a couple of steps above that of the Toyota's. My Tacoma was reliable, mechanically but the sensors were always giving me headaches. I don't know if my new Ranger will as reliable as the Tacoma, mechanically in long run but will have to wait and see. Only thing that I didn't like about my Ranger initially is the mushy brakes but I am getting used to it. Especially I like modern safety features it provides including AEB, cross traffic alert and Lane keeping. It's entertaining to hear the 'fake' engine noise from the sound system when it first take off. Overall I think Ford has done a good job building the vehicle and I am very happy to drive around with confidence that it will hold its initial quality for a long time to come.

Will pass anything on the road, plus gas stations!
I bought my 2019 Ford Ranger XL with the STX appearance package and the FX4 Off-Road package. Boy, what a truck. The 4-cylinder is great. Tons of power and it can pass anything on the road, including a gas station! It gets around 22 combined MPG, perfect for my commuter lifestyle. The only annoying bug I've had experience with is a small rumble on acceleration that starts and stops around 1600 RPM. Otherwise, absolutely no issues and I can easily look past the (very minor) bad things and look to the overwhelming amount of good things. I got my Ranger in Magnetic Metallic and it's beautiful. The STX Appearance Package adds a lot of nice cosmetic upgrades over your standard XL model. The crew cab can easily accommodate rear passengers. I got the upgraded 6-speaker system with just the 4" SYNC system and it's perfect for me, sounds fantastic, and that's coming from a slight audiophile. I got this truck right about $33,000 out the door, which is significantly cheaper than any other similarly equipped truck, and you get a lot more with your money if you go for with the Ranger. I highly recommend this truck to anybody who is in the market for a Tacoma or a Colorado. The Ranger will top everything else on the market right now.

Shop princess
Purchased the Ranger in December 2019, up till now it's been in the shop 60 days. HVAC box has been replaced twice. Will blow cold on one side and hot on the other. Fuel pump replaced within the first three months as well. Knocking noise in the engine bay anytime the AC or defrost is on. Body panels on this truck couldn't be any thinner, when I wash it the aluminum literally pushes in and out. Transmission is very clunky when coming from the start stop mode and changing to the reverse position. Literally jolts the whole truck. Very cramped driver position no matter how far the seat is back. The power window controls are literally closer to your elbow than they are your hand when your arm is resting on the door armrest. Ford missed the mark with this one especially for how much these go for.
