Used 2003 Ford Ranger Consumer Reviews
like my 2003 Ranger
I had a "98 4 cylinder manual Ranger before this. It had 135k on it but decided to purchase another Ranger after test driving other brands. This truck drives tight, very GOOD suspension. Nice engine response. Extended cab & CD player. 15" tires are an improvement MPG is around 20-23. A main reason to buy was that my wife said the seats were comfortable to her back (she is picky) & she could view the road well.
Best buy for the money
I have only had this truck 3 months, but I have put almost 10Kmiles on it already, and no problems. I was looking for some cheap transportation, and I needed a truck. I got a good deal on a brand new Base Ranger XL (no options) for $8,890. For what I paid for this truck, it has so far out performed all my expectations. Great gas mileage with the 4cylinder, not fast, but goes pretty good. I really have nothing bad to say yet. If I had paid $20K for this truck I would be a little upset, but I would say this is the best Bang for the buck I could have gotten as long as I don't have future problems down the line.

Decent
Other than a starter going out I have had absolutely no problems with it. I'd recommend it for a teenager.
i will never buy another Ford ranger
My 1995 ranger was a great truck, never had a problem with it and drove it for 8 years. Bought a new 2003 and have had nothing but problems, its been in the shop over 7 times this year and two of the times it needed to be towed in, i drive for my job and cant afford to have this many problems with this truck, iam in the process of trading it in on a new Toyota pick-up this weekend, thanks John/seamars1@aol.com
2003 Ranger
This is my 3rd Ranger. I had a 1984, 1989, and now a 2003. I have had very little problems with any Ford Ranger including this one. I would buy another Ranger as my next purchase.
