Fun to drive
Great little gocart of a truck. This combination of the 4.0 motor, the 5sp manual, reg cab and two wheel drive make it light and quick. Therefore the quickest combo you can get. It is a shame they stopped making this set up, but I am glad that I own one. Chrome Yellow
Love this truck!!
This is my first truck. I leased it in May 2001 for two years. What a great lease deal! I got every available option. The last two trips I took the 4 liter engine gave me 18 and a whopping 20 mpg!!! I have had very good experience with this vehicle. A slight vibration was resolved by the dealership with different tires. Other than that it has only been in for oil changes.

Love my Ranger
I've found the Ranger to be a nice little truck. It has decent towing capacity, good road manners, and shines off-road. It definitely feels solid.
Where's my 4x4
For the past 3 months I have had to take my truck into the dealer to fix the 4-wheel drive. So far it has shorted out 5 times, stupid electronic shift on the fly and none of the mechanics at the dealer can find the short. Not only that but my cruise control also shorted out. I have less problems with my '96 ranger then I do with this one.
Fun to drive
After driving a full sized pickup for years, the Edge is a lot more fun to drive! Fuel MPG with the 3.0 litre 6 is OK, but could be better. I'm averaging around 18 in the city.....20- 22 on the highway. Nice tight handling, in a sharp looking little truck! At times I find the 6 foot bed limiting. Modest towing capacity is another shortcoming.
