5 speed manual
Nice little truck, fun to drive but not as good of gas milage as was expected, Runs 18-20 mpg highway. Too small of fuel tank, just get cruisin and have to stop for fuel. Driving range of only about 250 miles. Engine surges between 1200 and 2400 RPM. At 19000 miles had to have Clutch replaced, $823.00 out of my pocket as it is a wearable part and not warrantied. My last Ford! Promise..

My Truck
Well gets awesome gas mileage for a truck. A cover over the bed added about 3 mpg more. Disadvantage: not very good traction in snow or rain. Not a lot of weight in back of truck, even with 140lbs extra. Just had some rear brake problems. Advantages: Again the gas mileage is great. Fun truck, 5-speed manual, good response. Easy to do self fix-ups, oil and filters. Don't need a jack to change oil and oil filter. Overall good, sometimes troublesome but nothing a little loving can't take care of.
Ford Ranger
I saw the first time after looking at ford f-150's and higher, but when I saw this little guy it jumped right out to me. I drove it...fell in love with it!
LOVE IT
Have had the truck for three years now and no problems have come. I get 27 mpg with a mix of city and highway. The only thing that was ever serviced on the truck have been a set of warped rotors from me driving too fast. I installed a Tv/nav system in the dash along with full audio and sound insulation. The stock tires were just replaced at 58,000 miles but still had tread left on them. In my opinion this is the best handling, most fuel efficient and most practical small pick up currently on the market.
