I bought a ford fusion in July 3013, Brand new, off the lot. It drove well for the first month then started having problems. I had to have the driver module replaced, the fuel pump replaced twice and every time it gets cold the car breaks down. I got it fixed yesterday, drove it for abou8t 24 hours and it broke down again. It died in an intersection and would not start again. This is the fourth time Ive had this problem. It usually starts up again after trying several times to start it but lately it refuses. I hate this car. Im trading it in for a honda or something and I dont recommend ANYONE to EVER buy [non-permissible content removed] FORD FUSION.

Traded my 2013 Nissan Altima which was an absolute piece of crap! The Fusion is as close to perfection as any car I've ever owned. Quiet, smooth, great all around. Absolutely no complaints and hoping it'll stay that way.

I purchased my 2013 Fusion just 10 months ago and have had nothing but problems with it. Within the 1st week of owning it, I had to take it in for computer updates because all the electronics kept shutting down. 2 months into ownership there was a recall on it and it was in the shop for 3 weeks! Last month it was in the shop because it was literally leaking gas and there were 2 more recalls on it. It was there for 2 weeks this time. Now 3 days ago, it had to be towed BACK to the dealership because everything went batty as in every alert imaginable came on. Brakes, engine, oil, engine temp, coolant. Everything went wrong and it completely shut down. I told the dealership to keep it, I'm DONE

Don't Believe the Estimated MPG

I have had this car for a month and bought it specifically for the mileage since I drive over 20,000 miles per year. My Jaq S-Type with V8 got 20-22 mpg, and this 4 cylinder only averages 22-24 mpg. Even on straight highway trip with no traffic, it reached 29 mpg, not the 36 advertised. I've only reached 29 mpg once. Extremely disappointed! I see a class action in Ford's future just like Hyundai and Kia just had. Dealer says it will be get better mileage after break-in period (1000 miles), but with 2100 miles on car, no change. Last tank averaged 22 mpg. I could be driving my V8 luxury car!! I rated performance low because the car doesn't get mpg it advertises!

2013 Fusion Titanium 2.0L ecoboost

After putting 21,000 miles on this car I became frustrated with the lackluster MPGs and finicky infotainment system. I often saw the MPGs drop to 16 MPG, well below the claimed average. I never once achieved the maximum MPG average Ford claims this car would achieve. I made numerous complaints to the dealer and service techs, with the only advice being: change the gas station used to fill up. Didn't work! Traded this car in after 15 months for a new Jeep Cherokee and couldn't be happier. The Jeep weighs more and has continuously surprised me with better performance and better ride handling than the Fusion (and better MPGs). The ecoboost engine does not live up to the hype. I've test driven numerous new Ford's with the ecoboost and it continues to disappoint.
