Dissapointed
I do a lot of car research. I rather enjoy it. So when I bought my 13 fusion I was fairly confidant. I hate to say that I've been rather disappointed. I bought the fusion because I drove long distances and needed good fuel economy, comfortable ride and good connectivity. One out of three is not good enough for me. I've never reached over 27mpg on the highway. My V8 Genesis would do over 30! The sync system is incredibly aggravating. I've spent hours in the car trying to get it to work with my phone and I don't know how many times I've just given up trying to use the voice control. And then there are the noises. The rattles, the tapping and the creaks. I think it might be worse then my old Jeep Cherokee. I would have expected that if the car had 150k but I bought it with only 4k! I will say that the ride and handling are quite good, it goes nicely through the canyons. But the power is only meh. Maybe my expectations are to high but I'm ok with that. I will be trading this in as soon as I can. Too bad it's not worth much.

Dissapointed 1.6L turbo SE with prem pkg /nav
I leased this car in Nov 2012 and driven 8k miles so far. The car has great styling and a comfortable ride, but the gas mileage and jerky transmission has been very dissapointing. I live in los angeles and drive a mix of both highway and local roads. My average mpg is 21.8 and that requires driving like a grandmother. My old acura 3.2tl got similar gas mileage but was much faster and enjoyable to drive. BTW, my ford touch stinks. its extremely slow, and can be distracting to operate while driving, it does not support any apps (ie yelp/pandora). On multiple occassions it has froze and required the car to be restarted to resume working.
2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid From hell
What can i really say to sum this all up... Worst car i have ever owned. - I had to take this car in to the dealership at 999 miles and have probably been back to the dealership 40 times ( now at 36k miles). So many build quality issues, servicing issues, Recalls and just in general things either falling apart or the wrong parts being used from the manufacturer. I had to take my car in the first week because of Build quality issues. The panels were not sitting properly, the Rear window of the car was warped and needed to be replaced, the cars trunk was not aligned properly with the rest of the car.... NOTHING Was aesthetically pleasing. This was my first American car and it will be my last. I Do not understand how I can have so many recalls and so many visits to the dealership with problems. They break things, Cause check engine lights, take a week to make any repair and always have the worst customer service skills.

Cannot express how trans sucks joy out of driving
Update: (April 2021) Still have the Fusion. Transmission still angers me every time it slams into 3rd gear. I’ve found more than enough online about this issue. Even Ford mechanics (online) admit the problem & that there is no fix. Ford has known for years. The dealer will tell you it us normal, but research has shown it will ultimately lead to failure. Interior has held up well. Ford Synch, at least this years version leaves a lot to be desired. Blue tooth dongs from phone will play play fine say going to the store. Restart car & now the songs will play 5 seconds then skip to the next. You have to pull over, stop, shut down radio, turn off car, turn off your phones blue tooth then restart all over. Happens very, very often anymore. Other tech works great. I have owned GM, Ford, MOPAR, VW, Austin Healey, Kia, Honda, Mazda & Hyundai. Ford has joined GM in my opinion. Do not trust them & they will not get my $.

Couldn't be happier!
I bought a 2013 Fusion Titanium with 2.0L Ecoboost engine. I drove it against the BMW 3-Series, Audi A4, Honda Accord, Nissan Altima and VW Passat. The Fusion felt much more solid than the Altima and Passat and competitive with the Accord, A4 and 3-Series. It is incredibly refined, quiet with great ride and handling, second to none of the above cars mentioned. I chose the Fusion over the BMW and Audi because it was just as nice for far less money. I have owned the car for 9 months now and still marvel at how great it looks and how much car it is for the money!
