I loved this car. I traded in my Mercedes and didn’t regret it once. I had not one mechanical problem. Gas mileage was not great. I liked the driving position in this car as it did remind me of a European sedan. I had all the options. It had park assist, adaptive cruise control, nav, head up display which would flash a red light and beep loudly if the computer thought a crash was possible, sunroof, blis, etc. I had it for 3 years and I still miss it.

My Fusion Going to Look Good for Years!

We'llll, I don't know why the Mustang is as heavily sold as it is. The Mustang can go straight and fast. Ask it to turn, compared to a FWD, and U can wave goodbye! My Fusion FWD 1.6 ltr turbo is all the acceleration and handling U need for our freeways. (PS I have had it up to 110 ) And I get 25 mpg on average, but, with cruise on the frwy @ 70 I get 35! Very quiet car, which I love. Beautiful finish. Use Meguiars products. I still get compliments on my red 4 dr! I'm not really a tech guy , but I still need a seminar to adjust the climate controls. If I bump a button everything goes haywire! The front seats almost allow U to not use a seatbelt. They hold U in tight and are comfortable to drive in , but a little hard to get in and out. Ride is wonderful. Even tho I have 18 inch wheels. Us old guys would think the ride would suffer. Wonderful purchase. As of 12/2018..I'm still very happy with the car . Almost paid off! The original tires wore out @ 24k. Good Year. I bought the next up Goodyear 'cause the oem tires road great and I will see how they wear, tho they have a 40k warranty. I bought tires theu TireRack and had them shipped and installed @ Walmart. Jones West Ford is an odd dealership. I used to do service work as a career and as a "Dealer" they could do much better. I think they let the service dept go the way of the wind. They are too busy for their own good. They should either shut down or get better. One last comment, I love the 1.6 ltr turbo. In real world driving and economy and power it is great!...A little more info; I appreciate the front engine 1.6 ltr turbo ,but placed over the drive wheels ,front, makes this a very forgiving and good handling vehicle. I pass cars all the time who can get over 40 at a freeway ramp. The rear seats are a bit small. I'm 6' 230 and can fit with me driving?! Did U follow? Cargo is nice. I put my wife's wheelchair in the trunk. This pretty much fills it up. Braking is just fine. Especially if U know how to drive and brake. Drive as fast/slow as conditions dictate! Four wheel disc , really says it all. I've had no repair problems. I've had three recalls tho I was contacted and Ford accomodated me. Other people have told me they love the car! Go get one.

I’m loving my Fusion

This is a 1.6l ecoboost not a 2.5l. Got this fully loaded Fusion SE Ecoboost 4 years ago. Certified Pre-Owned deal, had 8500 miles when obtained. Every available option - from moonroof to 18 inch wheels, backup camera and assist, automatic wipers, lights, high beams, mirror dimmer, Sirius XM satellite radio, full navigation system in SYNC with big screen, and more included in this jewel. Have over 80k miles on it now and still functioning like new. Only downside is a petty one — the miles to empty and fuel gauge compensates to leave you with about 2 to 3+ gallons remaining when it says you are empty. Not a really bad reserve to have though. Dealer support for recalls and regular maintenance is outstanding. Have had no issues regarding this vehicle. I’m 6’6” and have no issues with headroom or comfort.

Mine has the 1.6 EcoBoost, 6 speed automatic. I bought it almost 5 years ago at about 36,000 miles. The current odometer reads just over 140,000 miles. Initially, it was a great car and a good experience, but as soon as I hit 120k it turned into a basket case. I have done everything I could to keep this car well maintained. Air filters every 20k, instead of every 30k like Ford says, full synthetic oil changes every 6-7k miles, regular transmission fluid changes, a couple of brake pad sets and rotors throughout my ownership, the coolant was changed at 90k. It has a quiet and comfortable ride, great highway fuel economy (not so much in the city) and good space for what I use it for. I think the interior is clean and nice looking and I like the efficient use of space like the massive door storage areas and deep trunk.. But as soon as I hit 120k miles, everything started to go downhill. Rear shock and mounts (twice for some reason), alternator , 2 battery replacements, engine mounts, oil leaks forming around the timing cover, valve cover, near the turbo, and a complete TRANSMISSION FAILURE. I lost all gears out of the blue one day even though I've taken it to the dealer for regular fluid changes to prevent this very thing from happening. The dealer never told me why the transmission failed, just that it did and that was a $5,500 repair. Coolant hoses started to leak and the car overheated and shut off (which is nice that the car does that so you don't ruin the heads or head gaskets, but still) egr purge valve canister failure and replacement (not a huge deal). The brake hoses burst on the front while I was driving. That was fun...the car does have a system that keeps the unaffected brakes partially working, but still it wasn't confidence inspiring.. The electrical system has also recently done some really strange things. The radio stays on sometimes even the car is shut off and doors are open, other times it won't turn on at all. Sometimes the satellite radio only plays a few channels but can't get a signal on the rest. The gauge cluster had something short out inside it so that needed replaced at $550. One time, there was a wire near the drivers side front wheel that had been damaged/corroded somehow and I lost power steering, traction control systems, abs, and I got all sorts of lights and warnings on the dash. From one corroded wire. I could keep going but the point is that I love the way it looks, the color, the practicality it offers, the highway fuel economy, and the handling characteristics, but I need to get out of it as soon as possible, I can't keep going back and forth for repairs.

I wanted a car that would be both comfortable and reliable on long commutes in all kinds of New England weather. My 2013 Fusion has lived up to my highest expectations over that last 5 years and there have been no services costs other than routine maintenance. It was a great choice!
