Great car! Five stars is not enough!
I went searching for a car in April 2019 and I found my blue 2012 Ford Fusion SE 2.5L at the car lot. There are a number of features my car has that I feel really makes it more complete and a lot more enjoyable to drive than most of the other cars I've ever driven. Features mine has are: 18" factory aluminum wheels, telescoping tilt steering, 6-speed select shift, rear spoiler, sunroof/moonroof, folding rear seats, fuel efficiency, smooth suspension, great stability and handling, braking, self-contained power steering, auto-darkening rear view mirror, reliability, easily maintained, and Microsoft SYNC. This car has proven itself to be a very reliable car and a very enjoyable car. Personally, I think a lot of cars should have the features mine has. I bought mine in April of last year with just over 125,000 MI and it now says with just a little under $146,700 MI. The brake system and the steering in mind have always been and still remain extremely responsive. If you're not used to a vehicle that has extremely responsive steering and brakes, it will take some getting used to. If I have to list anything that I don't like about it, it would be that it comes with only a space saver spare tire and that when using that tire, it has a tendency to trigger the anti-lock braking system without being on the brakes. That is my only complaint about the car. With that warning about the spare tire and the antilock, I still fully recommend purchasing one of these cars. I love mine and would happily make the same choice over again. I really like the fact that mine also has the rear spoiler on it as I feel that that actually helps to complete the car.

great car with some minor issues
This is a good midsize car. It rides smooth, the heater/a/c and stereo speakers are awesome. Gas mileage is good and its a good looking car. No issues with paint, seats are comfortable. Only issues is at approx 60k the a/c electronic trap door wouldnt close so when a/c is set all the way counterclockwise cold it didnt work. No problem just turn the temp knob a few clicks clockwise and presto a/c works great! I read its a commom problem with plastic gear teeth breaking. I just had the recall of power steering completed so hopefully it wont fail as this is another issue. When first purchased transmission shifted rough and would stutter alot. Come to find out transmission fluid was low from the factory. I put some fluid in and presto..fixed! Overall my car has been very reliable and has never left me stranded or broke down. Say what you want about Ford but every one I've had has been reliable, even my 1986 ranger!
316000 miles and still going
I bought this car new in 2012. I now have 316000 miles on the car and it's still going strong. The only thing I have done to the car is change the oil every ten thousand miles and replace the tires and battery. Everything else from plugs to even brake pads, yes I said brake pads, is original. No tune up and I still average 30 miles a gallon.

Such a shame
I had a 2009 Ford Fusion I adored. Started having some issues at 105,000 so I traded for the 2012 Fusion. Man did they ruin a wonderful car with the changes. I hate the weak underpowered 4 cylinder in it. Gas mileage is about 28 mpg overall. Seats are hard and uncomfortable. The worst part is the transmission problems they can't seem to fix in the newer Fusions. It slips, shifts hard and jerks you, shudders trying to go up a hill etc. Had it in the shop and told after a computer update that it will fix itself! What a joke. AVOID this car! Update 2016- took it in the dealer shop more than once for the same transmission problem related to the computer chip, never could fix the issue. I traded it in for a Toyota.

Great Car For Price, Poor Interior Ergonomics
I really liked my Fusion. I have as a company car and it replaced a Malibu. Better driving, more responsive, decent milage. And it looks good. My issue is the poor design of the seat/dash area. I drive an average of 2,000 miles/mo and after a year I ended up with shoulder issues. The seat does not allow you to adjust to sit upright and the bucket is too narrow, forcing you to round forward as you drive. Too bad, I liked the car. Moving up to an SUV.
