Fine Car
I always wanted a Freestyle and found a real bargain in the local area. I've had the vehicle about 6 weeks. Brakes had been repaired before I bought it. Otherwise, the vehicle has been perfect. Wife's car, and I was a little skeptical as she traded a 2002 Lincoln Continental. It's not a Continental, but she loves the high seating and comfort the vehicle offers.
Good vehicle, for a while
I bought my 2007 Freestyle 5 years ago and up until now it's been a good vehicle with few problems, until now! At only 120,00 miles the front end started making noise and I brought it in to two different shops. I didn't believe the first one so I got a second opinion (for $100) the seasoned mechanic told me there were multiple problems with the front end: all the motor mounts are shot, the struts are shot, wheel bearings bad. The worst was the inner bearing on the driver's front. He said that on these Freestyles the inner bearings are extremely difficult to fix and expensive. He said all the front end work would be over $4000 at least. So I guess we're cutting our losses.
Great balls of fire!
I had a 2005 Freestyle and loved it, then I got t boned 😡 my husband's cousin sold me his 2007 and it was sweet but smaller. 2 days after I bought it before having it insured it caught on fire...the ac compressor was the cause. My mobil mechanic friend literally put it back together from the compressor to the wiring. It had 160 something thousand miles when I got it and the transmission is still good but after 300,040ish miles the motor is kaput! That car went from Knoxville, TN to UTC in Chattanooga to Kentucky and so many more states! #noregrets

A wonderful car. Thanks Ford.
I bought this car new and it now has 30,000 miles. It has been 100% trouble free and everything works like new. Other than oil changes and tire rotations, the car has not needed any repairs of adjustments. It gets great mileage, even better than on the EPA sticker. I get 21 to 22 MPG in town and 28 to 29 on trips. The car is extremely plesant to drive and is very comfortable, even for tall drivers. The fit and finish are superb, rivaling the Mercedes and Infinity cars I have owned before. The leather seats have very good lumbar support and adjust to very comfortable positions. It will haul large loads with the seats folded down and will pull my 16' boat with ease at 75 mph. A great car
Good Car
Purchased vehicle with 7.5K, now have near 28K. No issues except windshield washer motor went bad (warranty fix). Good MPG 21 city 26-30 Hwy(60to75mph). Wife says seats and suspension over bumps could be softer. Hwy ride is great! Handles well in mountains. Really like the 3 seats, back rows fold flat. Lots of neat features. Storage in dash is nice. A little noisy on initial acceleration.
