Best car I've ever owned
I've had a very long history of getting bored with my cars after a couple years and trading them in. I've owned and driven more cars than a 32 year old rightly should. So it's come as a huge surprise to my friends and I that after 2+ years of ownership, I'm still madly in love with my Ford. It's a blast to drive (best FWD car I've ever driven next to the Fiesta ST), practical (I fit a 60 inch flat screen in box no problem), and economical (I average 31mpg+ on road trips). In addition the car has been 100% reliable, my Ford dealer here in Washington has given me the best customer service I've ever had, and the ST community is great! I look forward to driving my Focus ST for years to come. P.S. Ford invited me to the ST Octane Academy in Utah for free just for buying one. One of the best experiences of my life.

Great car, Horrible execution, Horrible customer service and Horrible dealer network.
My car: an early build (02/03/2013) ST2 trim with Nav and without sunroof. This is a really fun car to drive. Performance, a solid "good", but when factoring in the whole vs it's competition I think it's a "great." The interior layout needs improvements and storage for the driver. HOWEVER, I've had quality issues and workmanship issues with the car from day one. The car has been out of service appox. 100 days since I took delivery on Feb. 13 (today is 9/14/2013). The car came out of the factory with a miss aligned drivers door. Unfortunately I don't have the space here to give full details, but Ford Customer Service has not been responsive in actually address the issues and I'm very upset.

Too Much Fun
I purchased a 2013 Focus ST this summer after researching choices for over a year. Looking for a fun car before I become too old to enjoy (61). Wow. Top notch handling, quick acceleration, smooth shifting, and a nice exhaust sound make this car a joy to drive. Pleasantly surprised with comfort of Recaro seats after reading reviews expressing discomfort. I am 5'10" and 184lbs. Seats are comfortable even on trips I have taken up to 8 hours. Another cool feature that I had not heard of during my research is auto brake which engages at stops on hill so no drifting backwards. Took awhile to get use to but a nice feature. I bought the car with 41,000 miles and added another 4,000. Car looks and drives like new. Fuel economy ok coming in around 29-30 mpg. Relatively tight fit in back seat. My 96 Mustang GT convertible sat in garage most of summer as the Focus was my go to car for a fun ride.

2014 Focus ST
Great handling, plenty of power, too much torque steer upon hard acceleration. Wonderful value for the price. Disappointing gas mileage.

Stalls on slowdown
Join the ST forums and do your research first. Some have simply given up trying to get dealers to fix it. Stalls when slowing down or downshifting into 2nd. Very sporadic - appears to be something idle-related. Both Focus and FIesta ST owners are reporting this. Been fighting dealers with this for the past 2 years.
