Initial Impressions
So - over the last few years I have owned them all - mostly multiples of each of the following - Tundra's, Tacomo's, Silverado's. My first new Ford since 1977. And so far could not be happier with this purchase. Quiet, controlled ride, power that is unbelievable, great audio system, controls where you want them to be, very comfortable seats. 10 speed transmission - works like a charm - no hunting to find the right gear - seamless shifting. Gas mileage outstanding, and I live in Montana where speed limit on interstate is 80 mph. Just about a thousand miles on the vehicle now - not one fill-up has been under 19.0 mpg - mostly 19.3 to 19.6 mpg avg. On one of these trips hauled maybe 1000 lbs of stuff for a wedding 150 miles away. This includes combined city driving as well. The auto start stop is fine - slight shudder when it shuts down but ready to go when you hit the pedal - nice to know I am not burning gas when sitting at a long light. Have not had one issue requiring me to take to the dealer since purchasing about a month ago. Navigation system is a pleasure to use especially after the aggravation that sets in when you try the Toyota system. Added rear wheel well panels and mud flaps from Husky - easy install. On the trip to trade a Tacoma for this Ford the Tacoma got 17.6 mpg and on the return trip with the F-150 got 19.3 mpg at hit 80 mph plus on some stretches. So far so good.

2019 f150 xlt 3.5 Jerky Shaky Noisy, Dangerous!
As of this review, I just broke 6000 miles and had them change the oil at 3000. Before you buy a Ford, drive the truck for the weekend before purchasing. The dealer tricked me. They cranked the truck and let it warm up for 10 min before bringing it out. My truck had over 8 hours of idle time on it with less than 200 miles when I checked it/figured out how to check. Transmission bumps and jerks the driveshaft when started or shut down. It feels like the torque converter is hanging and dragging until pressure can build up to release? Engine ticks and rasps very loudly until fully warm then it just ticks.(like an un-oiled chain) Idle is very shaky. It feels like you are running down a bumpy road "randomly shaky" Transmission thinks it is the brakes and beats the heck out of the rear end and drive shaft downshifting. Transmission jerks the whole truck when downshifting into lower gear. Especially hard and loud if you are coasting and not pressing on the brakes. (very fatiguing and super scary if the truck is not fully warm) Shifts are inconsistent and irritatingly jerky. (is it going to shift into 2nd or just skip from 1st to 3rd and jerk me around again. 4-5 is inconsistent and downshifting into 5th always a hold your breath ordeal, "is the BIG BANG" going to happen again? Engine is powerful one day and just normal others? You cannot check the fluid level on the transmission (no dipstick) Ford mechanic says its all normal, its just "parts catching up with each other" and I should have bought the 5.0. (same transmission, so a big NO way, BS all over here) 10,000 mile update: I got used to the noise at start up. Transmission still bumps and pops when started and downshifting. Had a few instances of hanging upshift at part throttle in cool weather. Feels like a cheep POS, not a 50 grand truck. Buyer beware! 18000 mile update, 6th to 5th down shift is constant BANG now. Dealer says no check engine light, no their problem. I do not think FORD even Knows about it. I have never gotten anything about my service or ANYTHING from ford or the dealer. The seat now takes a good 8-10 min to heat up, (within spec according to ford) the console door has fallen off and had to have it repaired. Motor still shakes bad. 25000 mile update. No problems have gone away, FORD has been contacted around the dealer. They say its a dealer problem and will have to leave it with them for possibly months!!! The bad shifting has me scarred to drive in rain or ice. It has barked the rears one time in a downshift in a turn. I need to report to the NTSB. This could result in a out of control vehicle. I know of 2 other people with the same problems. I am going to recommend NTSB reporting as well. Dealer tried to fix transmission at 58k miles. Had it apart changed some things. Worked for 2 months then started getting worse. Truck tried to shift from 10 to 1 on the interstate, Oil all over the underside. Brought back. 2 weeks later started shifting worse than ever. This transmission and FORD is the best reason I have rt now for life insurance. Drive it and you are taking your life in your hands. WORST transmission and service I have ever Known.... DO NOT BUY ANY FORD!

Ford 150 XLT 6' Lift Custom wheels
Excellent truck so far... Drove 350 miles from the dealership and love it. I don't care for the hybrid start button. Has to be turned off every time I start the truck. This could be removed and I would he happy. I don't want starter issues. But overall this is the truck of my dreams. The katskin leather seats and XD KMC Custom wheels are awesome. I love my truck.

Luxury lives here !
I bought a 2019 F-150 Limited... It has the high output twin turbo and man does it kick! Love the 10 speed tranny and all the amenities. It was a lease return with 3700 miles- the owner of the dealerships truck. They say he goes through 4 vehicles a year. I’ve put about 1590 miles on it, flat land to 7500’ here in Oregon and Northern California. I could not be more pleased.
