Used 2014 Ford Escape SE 4dr SUV (1.6L 4cyl Turbo 6A) Consumer Reviews
Stay away from this card
I purchased a 2014 Ford Escape new. Transmission failed at 105 miles. Powertrain warranty is for 60k miles. The owners manual calls for zero maintenance until 150k miles. I reached out to Ford to try recoup costs for this lemon and they refused. Replacement transmission cost $5,100 with tax and labor. Considering sticker price was around $32000, one would expect the transmission to last longer than the first set of tires. I was wrong. Hopefully others will find a better quality vehicle. Classy first SUV
We purchased this lil beauty in 2026, it had about 30k miles at that time. The deep blue exterior color is one of the selling points for me. I wasn't used to driving a vehicle with nice pickup and go like this but quickly adapted. It was a smooth ride, very quiet, and seating for driver was adjustable. Nice room inside, loving that cargo room when seats fold down. The power sun roof is fantastic and gets used whenever we have a sunny day. We now have about 74k miles and still enjoy it every day. Our main issue is the speed control of the blower motor. This is a known issue for Ford.We still enjoy this great SUV every day.
