Used 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid Consumer Reviews
Great Buy For The $$$$$
This SUV was a great vehicle for my daughter especially in the snow. It's been very reliable for the 2yrs she has owned it. The drive shaft is very sensitive when shifting especially in the snow.

Bad car
This is the third and final Ford I have owned. Fords are nothing but problems! My Escape has 107,000 miles and the electronic steelering has gone out! Too many bad reviews and unsure of the root cause(s). I have done routine maintenance and also have replaced water pump. I will soon be selling my Escape. Good luck to other Escape hybrid owners.

Great design and durability
Even our Subaru Forester -- a car praised for its visibility -- does not have the Escape's exterior view. This makes it a pleasure to drive and a safe one too. Colorado snow and ice have presented few problems and we've never been stuck. With 144K miles, ours has needed no major work except for a loose subframe mount which gave plenty of warning and was easy to fix. It's a sensible car and I wish they were making them as user-friendly today.
