Used 2021 Ford EcoSport Consumer Reviews
Ecosport 4 Month Review
If you want a flashy, fast, and small CUV, then the Ecosport is not for you. It is a basic car that gets you from point A to point B without any fuss. I find the sitting position comfortable and the view all around is excellent. No problems to date with almost 4k miles. 6 speed auto shifts smoothly and preferable to CVT's found in similar class of vehicles. The only downside is no spare tire but inflator kit. Ford usually offers generous rebates and financing on the Ecosport as it's not a top seller. An excellent choice given the incentives. Update: After almost 1 year and almost 9,000 miles nothing has changed. The Ecosport does its job in a no nonsense manner. Maintenance has only been oil changes so far. Update 2: At 15,800 miles the vehicle was sold to Carvana. No issues, the Ecosport ran great. Highly recommended for basic transportation.

Does not compare to an Escape
We have had this car for my daughter for about 1 year. She only has 10,000KM on the car and it's already been in the shop twice for electrical issues. The gas consumption is not different from our Escape Titanium, thinking ecosport might be a better value we traded her Escape. BIG MISTAKE! We cannot wait to get out of this lease.

In town car only!!
I just bought my ecosport se in November and here are a list of things I have noticed/concerned about the vehicle. I drive about 25 minutes one way for my employer. I live about 30 minutes outside the nearest large city. I have to fill my vehicle at least 3.5 times A WEEK. That’s 10 trips (both ways) and the two trips into town for groceries and small errands. I have never spent so much time or money on fuel in a small vehicle like this. The engine is very loud! It’s nerve racking to think I’m driving a vehicle that sounds like it has engine problems already. I’ve had it looked at by two ford dealers near me and both scratch their head while telling me it’s normal??? I was told by the previous owner the transmission has already been replaced….. WHAT?? It’s barely 5 years old! The safety features in this thing are of the past! Blind spot galore with this ecosport se. the limited room for passengers, lack of security in the cabin and amount of blind spots set this vehicle up for dangerous situations. ‘Small repairs’ don’t exist. This thing is so compact that you will pay more in labor than for the actual job itself. They spend so much time removing and locating things under the hood before they can diagnose or even fix your problem. Word to the wise, I haven’t had my vehicle a year and I am already selling it. If you have kids, drive for work or consider safety when purchasing a vehicle; this is not the car for you. Please make sure you are doing your research and actually looking all over online before impulse buying! Good luck to those stuck in their 7 year loan. I feel sorry for you, truly.

Over the hill in Oregon
Don't believe all the so-called "experts." We purchased a 2020 Ecosport from Avis Car Sales and couldn't be happier. We live atop an 800 high with a 16 degree incline. The Ecosport flies up the hill better than we have owned in the 33 years we have lived here. It is a comfortable ride with every possible option. Would certainly consider another one when it's time to retire our second vehicle.
