Perfect do-anything vehicle
I researched vehicles for about a year (looking at 2-door coupes right up to full-size trucks, because I couldn't decide what I needed!) before finally deciding on a Durango, and placing an order for a 2022 R/T Tow-and-Go. I've had it for about four months now, and I am incredibly happy with my choice. Every time I get in the Durango, every time I smash the pedal to the floor, every time I'm walking up to it in a parking lot, I smile. It has everything I want: aggressive good looks (especially from the front and side, with the SRT-style fender flares and wheels), amazing throaty sound (the Tow-and-Go trim has performance exhaust, and it is music to the ears), good solid performance, ride comfort, utility, etc. It has fantastic road manners, and drives like a much smaller vehicle; you feel very planted on the road, and it loves corners, despite its proportions. I could go into detail on just about anything on this vehicle, but I'll try to condense it into a pros & cons list for brevity: Pros: Amazing sound both in and out of the vehicle; no drone, either! Great performance – it’s not a Hellcat, but the R/T is no slouch! Sleek, modern, and comfortable interior – good workmanship and no rattles Great compatibility with Android Auto & wireless charging Pretty good stock speakers Very, very smooth ride – even with the stock run-flat tires Aggressive good looks Great pedal feel especially with the Brembo brakes on the TnG Plenty of utility; tons of trunk space with the third row folded down I haven’t had a need for it yet, but a huge towing capacity Cons: I wished they tuned it for a little higher on the horsepower; other Dodge vehicles with the same motor are rated for an extra 15 HP Gas mileage isn’t great, but that’s to be expected with a 5000+ pound vehicle with an 8-cylinder motor Everything else has been updated, but the rear of the vehicle is getting dated and could have used a touch-up Overall, I love this vehicle. I’m very happy with it, and I can’t say enough good things about it.

Love the Durango… Hate the oil leak!
2023 Durango RT Plus Blacktop Edition I purchased this vehicle 4 Months ago and had it back to the dealership twice now! The 5.7 engine developed an oil leak at (only 4,500 miles) at the oil filter adapter that attaches to the block. The dealership replaced it with a new one with new gaskets. Drove it for two weeks with no issues then the other night I smelled oil burning, looked under the front and the whole bottom side of the engine and transmission are covered in oil. The adapter started leaking again! Added two quarts oil and drove it to the dealership the next morning. Dealership tried to repair the gasket by using “approved” Mopar sealant and it started leaking again after running 5 minutes. Now it’s been sitting for two days at the dealership waiting on another new adapter and gaskets. The dealership replaced the rubber trim on the back drivers door on the outside of the window. The rubber had turned a spotty white/gray looking color. The dealership also order new exhaust because the right side exhaust tip is pointing inward toward the center of the bumper. It was that way on the showroom floor when I purchased. 4 other Durangos on the lot had the same thing. Awesome quality control at Dodge!! Update 12/7/2023… After three failed attempts to fix the oil adapter leak, Dodge has granted to replace the whole engine with a new one. They determined the engine block was not milled correctly causing the oil adapter and engine block not to mate evenly which caused the leak after the engine warmed up. Build date on the Durango is 7-23 Update 4/5/2024, The new engine developed another oil leak after only 4,000 miles on it. The leak was towards the rear of the engine and Dodge claimed the oil pan gasket failed when the engine was put together at the factory. We had that repaired and two hours later smelled oil burning on the exhaust and also oil dripping onto the ground in the same area. Dealership claims it’s now a rear main seal that needs to be replaced along with another oil pan gasket. As much as I hated too because I’ve always been a Mopar guy, we got rid of this lemon!! Total mileage on the Durango 12,000 miles. We traded this Durango on a new Ford Explorer ST and haven’t looked back at Dodge since!! UPDATE: After the rear main seal was repaired, it was still leaking oil everywhere. Dodge technicians determined it was again the oil pan gasket. This did not cure the leaking oil. Dodge determined this new 2nd engine that the engine block wasn’t milled to specs causing the oil pan gasket to leak. This whole experience has turned me completely away from Dodge and I will never buy another Dodge vehicle ever again! Traded the Durango for a new 2023 Ford Explorer ST after I was told I needed a 3rd new engine in only 12,000 miles. Never had an issue with this Ford Explorer ST and it’s reliable!

UConnect is huge problem
2022 Durango RT AWD. Excellent driving suv, but would not purchase one until manufacturing gets the UConnect right. Dealership update was worthless and customer service at corporate was terrible. Buy another suv and wait. I regret buying this one everyday and I am stuck with it.
16 months in, 16,000 miles, so far, so good.
It makes no sense to read reviews from owners who have had their cars for 2 or 3 weeks. It is far more helpful to get a sense of what the car is like over a year of driving. That being the case, I have had no problems whatsoever with my SXT Durango 2wd drive. In fact, I really like how well it drives, sufficient power, quiet smooth drive. I like the naturally aspirated 6 cylinder and 8 speed transmission, doesn't seem to hunt and peck for gears, smooth acceleration, and very quiet. Plenty of room for 6, and small adults can comfortably sit in the 3rd row. Seats are comfortable. The Uconnect works well enough. Averaging 23.5 mpg, mixed, up to 26 mpg on highway at 65-70 mph, only 23.5 mpg at 75-78 mph. This SUV has a "middle of the road" exterior design, that some see as dated, but I think it looks great. Having test driven every midsize 3 row crossover, I found this one drove the best, looked the best, and surprisingly was the least expensive. I do not regret this purchase at all.

Horrible car
Horrible car, bought it brand new 2023 with 69 miles on it, after 2 weeks it shut down in the middle of the road had to tow it to the dealership they said it was the starter they fixed it, and continues to have problems now I’m taking it in again for a second time and this car has not even hit 1000 miles, I haven’t even made my first payment. Horrible car it lunges forward when I let go of the gas pedal, when I accelerate it jerks, I bought a brand new car in hopes of not having any problems for years and here I am taking it in a second time and only had this car 1 month, horrible car will be doing a buy out or trading in very disappointed with this car
