Used 2006 Dodge Charger Consumer Reviews
Really a Mercedes...
Wow--what a car! Don't let its macho looks and American-designed interior fool you. This is really a clone of the Mercedes Benz E-series for half the price! It is as refined and polished as it gets... I narrowed down my search to the Dodge Charger and the BMW 530i/550i. The Charger is right up there with the BMW. I'd say the BMW comes out ahead very slightly in the handling/steering and road feel (as always), but it is not $25-30K better than the Charger--maybe for 5k extra only would I choose the 5 series.
Driving like a teenager
I wanted a car that says "I drive this because I want to, not because I have to." My Charger does exactly that. I shopped for 18 months looking for a car that had a WOW factor and I found it in this car. I look forward to stopping for red lights because it gives me a chance to blast off the line. The car gets to 80 really fast and I have to stop myself from pushing too far past. The bottom line is this car is a joy to drive. Oh, and I can still get the family in it when reality calls me back.

Love my hemi!
The car has awesome performance. Great bang for the buck! MPG not the best for the power, but the MDS sure helps. The ride/handling with the stock R/T is a bit "Soft" - with the SRT8 suspension I put on, it's much better! This is not your granny's family sedan. It's fast, stops on a dime and corners awesome. The biggest pet peeve is my left arm falls asleep on long drives due to the hardness of the driver's door armrest.
My choice of Charger
I was wanting to change from driving an SUV to a car. I was looking for better fuel economy but still wanted safety and performance. My husband drives a Dodge Ram 4X4 with the Hemi motor and suggested I try the new Charger. I was suprised at the high mileage rating. After test driving it I knew I wanted it. I have been totally satisfied with my purchase.
Great Job Dodge
I absolutley love my Charger. City wide my gas mileage is easily 22- 24mpg. My husband can only seem to get about 16mpg! After 11 months and 20,000 miles; people still stop me and ask how I like it, how it drives, and if I'd buy another one. Yes I plan too! I've not experienced any problems whatsoever. Great job Dodge!!
