Used 2017 Chrysler Pacifica LX 4dr Minivan (3.6L 6cyl 9A) Consumer Reviews
Buyer beware
Its not even got 40k and its going back into shop. This will be 4 times now back to the dealer. Transmission problems, glad I bought the extra warranty
Nice design with typical chrysler build issues
I leased and early model and have suffered persistent build issues - the tailgate almost never opens first button press (most of the time it takes 3 attempts). The Nav/Info system occasionally fails to start. Doors and windows dont fully close and seal properly BUT other than those early build annoyances, this is a very good vehicle. Quieter road noise than the Odyssey (active noise cancelling really works). Very comfortable with excellent design inside and out. For those wanting a minivan, this is a great choice (had 3 odysseys in a row and the Pacifica is all round better).

Maintenance history update
We've been satisfied with our Pacifica for the past three years and have needed only minor service. Recently, I noticed the paint bubbling along the front edge of the hood and took it to a local body shop for an estimate for repair. I had thought it to be rust, but the technician pointed out that the hood is made of aluminum and the real problem is that they used the incorrect primer under the paint. Another body shop told me the problem was galvanic corrosion caused by contamination of the hood edge with another metal when it was being stamped. That shop said it was a widely known problem and the only solution was to replace the hood for $1,500. A google search shows that it is indeed a widespread problem, but the local Chrysler dealers claim to have never heard of it. While we previously recommended the vehicle to friends, we now warn prospective buyers of the problem and the fact that Chrysler will do nothing about it. Some buyers have had the problem occur under warranty and some dealerships have honored the warranty and corrected the problem at no cost to the customer. Update 12/20/22: Two mechanical problems this year: the safety beeper for the rear hatch stopped working. It's well hidden behind a panel, but cost of replacement at the garage was only $56. The second problem was that the engine began running rough as though it were missing on one cylinder. The Chrysler dealer replaced a coil pack, injector and spark plugs at a total cost of $776. That corrected the problem but did all three of those items fail at the same time?
