Used 2004 Chrysler Pacifica Fwd 4dr Wagon (3.5L 6cyl 4A) Consumer Reviews
So far, so good
First Chysler but loved it the first time I saw it in an ad. Room for the whole family (mom, dad, and 4 kids) and the DVD player keeps them all happy on long trips. Gas mileage reaches 25 MPG on Wyoming/Colorado interstate, about 17 in town. Can tow trailer down the highway and still get nearly 17 MPG.
Excellent in Winter
We live in Minnesota and the vehicle got us everywhere we wanted to go in all weather conditions. It is also very fun to drive. We also enjoy all the positive comments and questions from people who want to know about the car.

Kool Ride
Saw the Pacifica at the 2003 Pittsburgh Auto show. Wanted a change from the Town & Country vans we have been driving. Love everything about the car except two things. Being 6'7" I need leg room. I would have more if Chrysler would redesign the tilt lever and also move the ignition placement. Twice I've hit the key with the car running and have shut off the engine. My left knee is a tight fit between the door and Tilt lever. Chrysler please fix. Other than that it's a great vehicle. Ordered the INFERNO RED car with light Taupe interior.
I love My PACIFICA
I just got my PACIFICA recently and I love it! It has a great design and feels great to drive. What a wonderful car/minivan/SUV - whatever it is!
2004 Pacifica Family Vehicle
Overall, we love this vehicle! The last SUV that we owned was a bare bones Isuzu Amigo. The Pacifica is a luxury vehicle. One time glitch: the memory seats did not want to move. The dealership reset the system and it is fine now. The over head lights which are available at each seating position are very handy for adult passengers, but not appropriate for small children. The battery sometimes gets worn down by leaving these on accidentally, although there is a global control to turn these off on the turn signal control. This SUV is very comfortable for passengers in the front and second row of seats. The 3rd row is more comfortable than all 3rd row seats in other SUVs we test drove.
Love my Pacifica
My 2004 Chrysler Pacifica is the best handling, most comfortable, a delight to drive vehicle I have ever owned. I especially find the most useful feature to be the moving map. I could not do without this item now that I am used to using it. This vehicle corners better than any vehicle that I have ever riden in. I would like to help design the exterior trim. This is the only item I would want changed on my Pacifica.
Best Vehicle Ever Purchased!
Chrysler hit the nail on the head with this crossover vehicle. It is absolutely the quietest and smoothest vehicle I have ever owned. It had responsive steering, wonderfully adequate a/c, killer electronics: i.e. put in the key and the memory puts the radio stations, mirrors, pedals, and seat where you had it...it does it for two people! Fit and finish are incredible. The rear seats are adjustable just like the front buckets. The rear gate opens electronically, a/c vents for all THREE rows of seats. Guess what? we're pulling our boat with it.
Questionable experience
The moon roof exploded and pushed the glass in small pieces up and out of the vehicle. Glass came back into the vehicle. The dealership was not concerned with safety. They were unable to understand the safety concern. A 2nd moon roof was installed. The weatherproof strip buckled in less than a day. The dealership could not explain the previous so we were concerned this buckling may create the same accident. The owner of Norco Motors Pacifica moon roof has no signs buckling. A 3rd moon roof will be installed in the vehicle. They apologize that we feel unsafe. They are sure we are not. They cannot explain why it happened.
Well worth considering
Owned this car for 2 years. Drove over 2000 miles this summer on trip with wife and two small kids. Great ride, comfortable, not bad gas mileage and enough space. For the features and luxury, very good value. Fairly reliable, never stranded. Biggest problem has been air pressure monitoring system - replaced 2x. In single car accident and no one hurt - very safe. Car repaired and like new.
A Solid and Fun Drive ... We love it !!!
Although we have only driven our "tourer" for about 1000 miles, we have thus far pretty much loved every inch of it. Although we would still pick the MDX/ML350/RX/XC90 for quality, we fell in love with the stylish & slick design of the Pacifica. The other makes just looked like any other SUV's out there for our taste. Our only misgivings are not enough horse-power when needed, poor radio reception and too much problems with the the climate controls that we have read and experienced.
