Horrible
This van has been one problem after another & I will never buy a CHEVY vehicle again. The company (based on three dealerships)has the worst customer service imagineable. The body integrity of this van is terrible. We have had problems with the doors, headliner and outside trim. It has had electrical problems. We have taken it back to Chevy numerous times and the work is terrible, even when the general manager promises that he will personally "take care of it." All I know is that I do not want this van 1 minute after the warranty runs out.
Chevy Venture
The Chevy is ur first mini-van. The DVD is great. The seats are leather and comfortable. The featuers are nice- Onstar, rear warning, info. radio and onboard computer. M wife really enjoys it thats all that matters.

Fairly Satisfied
I was very surprised at the comfort afforded a mini van. I mean it compares to sedans or in some instances is better.
alright
My review is its not the greatest but its ok.
2000 Venture Plus
7 passenger seating arrangement very inconvenient for adults...rear seats for children only. Front passenger seat too close to door and not heighth adjustable. Will not buy another GM vehicle equipped with Firestone tires. Firestone replaced three of the original tires at different times due to failure but I have never had four good smooth running tires at the same time and still do not. No more relying on the tire supplier. wind/engine noise.
Chevy Venture
I havve no complaints with this vehicle it has a ride like a car.
totally dependable
We have loved this minivan! If you are not worried with what the "fashionable thing to drive" is, then you would probably love this minivan. No horror stories from anyone who we know who has a Venture (or other GM style) van. It is not fancy, but it hauls girl scouts, boxes, and anything else. Seats are pretty easy to remove, despite what others say, and it has a ton of storage room when you do take them out. Will buy another one when we wear this one out.
I really love my venture
best vehicle i have ever owned
Love this van
Traded in a Chrysler on this van ,Chev is quieter, quicker and delivers 24to26 mpg at highway speeds.Little road and wind noise compared to Chrysler van. (trade in was a 2000 model)
So far, so Good
A dream on the highway, comfortable for everyone. Interior seems a little cheap for the price you pay. Lots of plastic.
TAKES A LICKIN
Loved this van when it first came out. I work on them at work{rent-a-car} and they are very reliable and can take a ton of beating. If you have a family this is the vehicle for you.
Chevy Venture
We are very pleased with our Warner Brothers Venture. It is a fantastic value for the money.
AdVenture 2004
This van is strong , quick and extremely roomy given its short wheelbase. I have used it to tow a 21 ft. open fisherman to a ramp 20 miles away and it will perform quite well for its small engine size although it has not been designed for that kind of abuse.
2004 Venture LT Luxury Van
While I have only owned this van 2 months, it has been in my family since new. It has had hardly any problems. I am very pleased with the leather interior. It has good take off power, but does struggle somewhat on long hills. Earlier models had gasket problems, but that problem was resolved for 2004. The headrest of the 2nd row captains chairs do create a blind spot when backing up, but I have learned to adjust to it. There are also a few rattles from the rear door when going over bumps.
2004 Chevrolet Van Extended
A bit of a "Plain Jane" van, however, very dependable and no repairs to date. Currently have 65000 KM's
Underrated van
This vehicle has performed more than adequately. Rides smoothly, swallows more cargo than previous SUV we owned and only cost $20,500 after rebates and discounts--saved $6000 over Honda Odyssey. True, resale is less now than other minivans but this matters only if you plan on selling it quickly. At 58,000 miles, only the rotors needed to be replaced and othewise no problems noted. Interior could be more high-class but we didn't buy this car for style but for basic transportation and it has fulfilled this function well. Even gas mileage is good--25-26 miles in suburban driving. Overall, very satisfied.
Personal Experience
We searched far and wide for the perfect family van and after owning this Venture for 2 years we are confident we found it. We love the ways the seats fold and move individually, they give you so many options. The gas mileage is great. We got 25mpg driving to FL with a family and luggage to boot. The integrated child seat is awesome, I just wish we had two instead of one. I'm a Ford guy myself, but this Chevy Venture is awesome. My wife and I wanted 8 passenger seating and we could only find it in the Chevy Venture (in 2005). Yah we have 3 kids but what if the grandparents or friends want to ride, 8 passenger is a must. We've had no operational problems and we're closing on 40,000.
Worst Vehicle Ever Owned
We purchased this van when it was almost 1 year old. We have had nothing but problems with it. It has had electrical problems, fuel pump, power steering pump, and now we don't even know what is wrong with it. It is not safe to drive, it is to the point I don't want to drive our children in it. Please beware of this model.
Venture OK
This has been a very dependable vehicle. I had to downsize from Suburbans I drove in the past so it was a real challenge at first. I have grown to appreciate saving money on gas, tires, and repairs.
Vehicle crash
I had a side impact crash in January which is bad way to find out how safe this vehicle is. It was totaled, but I walked away without a scratch. I loved my first one, but went out and bought another one. The only difference is the color. I love this one and feel safe.
Bad all around
Bought this minivan for animal rescue. Recall on our dash of all the gauges. Thought it was going to be over. Now my light and stereo stay on when turned off. Have to manually turn them off. My back hatch cannot be opened due to electrical problems. My doors do not lock because of electrical issues. Now it is making noise under the hood and no one can find the problem. The door panel on the drivers side gets caught everytime you open the door. This is a terrible van. I regrete every buying it. I will never get another one. As soon as it is paid off we will be getting rid of this death trap.
My Venture Experience
I loved my Venture van. However, it was my 2nd Chevrolet to own, having previously owned a Cavalier. It is only 2 years old and the air conditioner quit and has to have a new compressor. I bought it as a program car so unfortunately the warranty is out. The air conditioner quit in my Cavalier after only 2 years also! I am angry about the a.c. system not lasting more than 2 years. I traded in my 2 year old van yesterday. I am sad because I truly loved my Venture van. I will never own another Chevrolet. I am sad because I truly enjoyed my Venture experience.
A very poor van
We have always leased vans and when we needed an 8 seater the Dodge Caravan didn't cut it. This car can't make it up gentle grades in the winter where the Dodge Caravan flew up them! It is way too low to the ground so when there is a bump in the road you hear a loud screech from the floor. It is very un- comfortable too.
Chevrolet Venture
We purchased this 2003 that was a rental vehicle. Van is very smooth riding and has plenty of power. The only thing they should have thought of was more power outlets in the front. There is only one. My previous GMC Jimmy had 3 power outlets. Enjoy having the sliding passenger door, makes a big difference with our little baby getting her in and out. Rear air is a life saver!
Venture Lover
It's a very reliable comfortable vehicle with plenty of storage and seating space.

'04 Chevy Venture in 2025
I recieved this vehicle for free from a friend who no longer needed it. Had to replace the battery, and the wipers used to cross over each other.... So I drive with one wiper lol. It makes some concerning noises if you make any hard turns, but it's holding up. It's just under 170k miles. It's rusty, but fairly trusty. Recently, I had to replace the starter. Since then, it's been handling some insane low temps with no issues whatsoever. It's got some pretty hefty power surprisingly. That 3.4 liter 6v ain't nothing to laugh at. The frame is doing alright considering the previous owner not particularly taking proper care of it (not the person who gave it to us). Body and panels however, oof. Every time we close one of the back doors, we have less van. Chunks fall off. I drove over some train tracks a while back and the heat shield decided to divorce itself from the vehicle. The back doors also are pretty hard to open, but I could probably just fix that with PB Blaster. I DO get a handful of electrical issues. For instance, I have a check engine light on but No one can read it. The sockets just blatantly do not work. My brake light is on, along with a constant message of low brake fluid though it still stops like a beast. If I had any form of issues with this van, it's the fact that almost everything that you would regularly want to check or replace, like the battery or some fluid reservoirs, is in THE MOST INCONVENIENT PLACE EVER. The battery is under the starter relay. The brake reservoir is practically right behind the steering wheel un a place where you can't easily access. Either way, It's still been good to me and mine. I'm genuinely surprised.

Absolutely no problems
Bought from a rental company with 50 K on it. Have put about 90 K on the vehicle myself. Not a single problem! The most reliable vehicle I've ever owned.
Extras
The power windows break constantly and the A/C is very poor in this van. The compressor had to be replaced at 36,000 miles and was not covered under the extended warranty.
Getting Better
I owned a Plymouth Grand Voyager prior to my Venture. Although both are about the same my plymouth got better gas miles and was more confortable in seating and overall room.
venture
great if you have 3 small children
Love the Venture
This is my family's second Venture. I love this van. The most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. It has great features on it and it drives like a car. It drives well in the snow and rain. I have recommended this van to several people and I know that at least two of these people have bought one, and love it! The only thing that bugs me is that Chevy is replacing the Venture with the Uplander. I wish this vehicle was a comfortable and as drivable as the Venture. It is not! It seems to me if this is the vehicle that Chevy is using to replace the Venture, it should have been just as good or better then the Venture. I test drove this vehicle and although I loved it's look, nothing else impressed me.
My Venture
I find the Venture very roomy and comfortable. It is a good vehicle to transport small children and still have room for adults. The trunk space is fairly large considering the third seat can be put down and that does increase the trunk area. There are many little places in the vehicle for storage of items. This vehicle is easy to drive and handles well.
Chevy Venture 2005 LT
Going from driving a smaller 4-door sedan for 6 years, and trying to fit my 3 children in that one back seat, to driving in my Venture is like rediscovering the joy of driving! I have to admit, driving a van is very different than driving a smaller car. The van itself rides very smoothly, very comfortable and the model we have has many of the options, which add to the overall comfort. I did find that it feels a bit top heavy when turning, and needs considerably more stopping time. Not being an expert, I assume this is just the weight and size factor. The sound quality in the stereo could use improvement, I think that more speakers throughout are needed in something as long as a minivan.
So What Is It like
Does not have the horn blowing or flashing lights to confirm that the doors have locked when using the remote. Probably would please more buyers it if had the 3.8 liter engine. I understand that the Venture is being replaced by a new model. I wish that it had something like Goodyear tires instead of the Firestone tires on it.
