So glad to be back in the 'burb
This is my sixth Suburban/Yukon XL over the last 18 years and I love it. Just traded in my GMC Sierra and am so glad to be done with a pickup. The amount of cargo I can fit and keep secure/dry is so much better-4x8 drywall/plywood, 10 ft conduit or boards, etc all fit with tailgate closed. no more loss of back up camera and stuff hanging out the back during home depot trips New tech with phone integration, bird's eye view for parking etc are awesome. Only negatives vs my Yukon XL from a few years ago is loss of the moving center dash screen with hidden compartment behind it and deletion of overhead sunglass holder compartment. Also, I hate the dash buttons for drive/reverse/park. the stick on the steering column was a much better way to shift. Unfortunately this seems to be an industry trend Rear cargo area hidden storage is great- fits a full size 12 gauge and full length AR-15 with room to spare for lights, tools, gloves and other back up gear. Best recommended accessory: cheap phone mount that goes over center ET display-$16 on amazon. no more pro fit or other expensive mounts that require prying off dash panels and screws to have a professional looking and secure phone mount.

Very Nice
Drove this rental car for 2600 miles on family trip from Indy to DFW area. It was mostly similar to a Ford Expedition I drove earlier, being an ideal family bus with style. Highs: Love the interior quality, digital instrument panel can be customized to show what you want and looks nice in general, got a decent 19.3 MPG overall on mostly 75 MPH highway driving. Lows: At least on my example, had to press the brake pedal quite hard to make even moderate stops. Selecting Sport vs. Normal made no perceptible difference in any way. Mine probably did not have heated side mirrors, at least not that I could tell. Overall, seems to be on par with Ford Expedition.

2023 Z71 Suburban
Great look, but very unreliable. Started having issues about 20,000 miles. Now I'm at 27k miles and it has completely broke down on me. started with deep engine knocking. Ended with high pitch chattering before it just stopped.
