Ugh
I bought one used for cheap if it's not one thing or it's another with the 3.1 V6 the engineer dropped the ball on cooling n exhaust systems

Pete
Is the second time I own this car I bought it from a dealer and then several years later I gave it to my sister and several years after that she gave it back to me, currently have 216,000 plus miles on it the only thing I have to change on it was a fuel filter fuel pump the alternator and the water pump which everything was easy to get to. The only problem with the car which I feel should have been a recall it should be fixed was we was leaving the store and the car cranked up and then shut off and then I couldn't leave the store I to leave my car there until I googled it and what you got to do your step system light will just blink so you could have put an accessory position for exactly 10 minutes the light will either shut off oh stop blinking but it'll still be lit up turn the ignition off wait a couple seconds turn it on the car is fired up 100% of the time but it's frustrating when you got to wait 10 minutes when it does it and you don't know when it's going to do it other than that it is a very nice car I read a lot of reports saying gas mileage is low on these things I average almost 28 miles per gallon around town and I've hit 37 and a half miles per gallon on a road trip.

Total Practicality
It's not a BMWr, but it does everything well and has been totally trouble- free. The Malibu has apparently earned the intial quality award that it has advertised.
Great car
What can I say, its an all around great car. It fits my every need. The motor is great, nice horsepower and torque. You can put a beating on it and it wont die. Has no problem burning out too. Two complaints I always get are the seats are comfortable and it rides smooth. Very smooth and a lot of space inside for leg room. CD player is pretty good, so are the speakers. The trunk is excellent for putting a lot of things in it. Taken it on road trips and has no issues what so ever. Take care of this car and you'll put many miles on it. I recommend to anyone who has a family or carries three or more people.
Tough as a ‘90’s Toyota
225k miles, and she still takes what I throw at her. And I’m not kind to her by any means. It’s not uncommon for me to go from stopped at a red light, to hitting 60 in 100 yards. She touches 5,200 frequently. The cooling fan seized, albeit that’s from the weather, and the heating core just went. I bought it for $500 and she’s probably worth $1,000. That little 3.1 V6 is peppy given its age, and the power ratings.
