Used 1995 Chevrolet Lumina 4dr Sedan Consumer Reviews
A good used car!
I bought the 95 std lumina in 2000. Since then the only money I have had to put into this car was for new tires. I've left home for college and my car sits outside unused for long periods of time, even in the cold and it still starts easily every single time. It gets pretty good gas milieage for the size of it. While all my friends have newer cars with less miles on them, they still are having to spend thousands of dollars on repairs for their cars, while my old, yet trusty lumina is always there to give them rides while their cars are in the shop. The only problem I have had with the car are the dashboard lights.
Three Times a Loser
We bought this car new with the hopes that the third new GM vehicle that we purchased might make it past 80,000 without major repairs. Our hopes were once again crushed, as before it made 80,000 miles the transmission went out costing $700 to repair, two weeks later the engine started leaking coolant into the crankcase through a blown head gasket which cost another $800 to repair. GM just can't seem to get it right. Too bad, as this will be my last GM product.

Family Sedan
Well we have had this car since new June 1994 and still running today as new in Jan 2007. That is saying something. It was even totaled in a wreck back in 1996, but it was fixed well and still continues to run like a top. I have since put in a K&N air filter, hi performance igntion wires, 16 inch chrome Gm alloy wheels, synthetic oil by Mobil and has seen over 200 hp, and will go with duel exhaust. ACworks well, heat works. All dash and interior lights work and body is still solid with a couple of dents and some paint chipping, but still kept like factory. I have added foglamps, neons, and wind deflectors. Will add other mods later.
a boring car
bought for 6 grand with only 27k at 5 yrs old. good power from reliable engine, nice styling, back seat is huge, but at expense of front room. I had to replace rotors, and brakes are not the best in general. No other repairs in 3+ years. Handles like a beached whale, though. If the seats were not so mushy, and the interior not so cheap plastic-ey, I would like it a lot better. But, with a wax job, and those alloy wheels, it looks damn sharp in the driveway. And, with the money i saved driving boring cars like this, I live in a half million dollar house. Not so bad for a school teacher
'95 Lumina
Good overall sedan. Rides like a bigger, smoother car. Not fancy, but good performer. I like it.
